I know its season of good will..... but I cant help it.
Packed house for the bitters against the gunners, 47,600. but those Stoke hooligans, just like the Wigan hooligans needed a large swathe of empty seats between them and the City fans, shame on them, took the gate down to 46,000. at least that is the excuse Dave will come up with!
Cheers, Dakey

The point is Dave that the big clubs sell their allocation and everyone sits next to each other with no segregation line between them, no problem. Now, every time you have a gate below capacity (which is almost every game) it is always the away team that dont sell out their tickets. If I give you the benefit of the doubt then why dont you sell those tickets to the hordes of City fans that you say are desperate for tickets instead of having a big swathe of empty seats? Could it just be that there are no more City fans to sell these tickets to?
Also, are you that frightened of us that you are trying to give us less tickets than we are legally entitled to in the FA Cup?
Anyway mate and chaps, have a good xmas and lets resume hostilities after the boxing day games.
cheers, Dakey

Everyone enjoy your xmas.
And Dakey I would imagine empty seats is an issue to most clubs...but the exception is City. Its not run like a business so why would the owner care. Its the one club that with 1 spectator at each home game would still have a cracking sponsorship deal and the highest wages in the league.

Hope all had a great Xmas and hope the New Year is good for all
Chelski and Spurs result was good for all and bought about a little pre festive cheer.
look forward to the fixture understand why the London games are moved but why has Man u not the majoritiy of fans travel to the game home and away from London Mainline Stations so you would think they should have moved as well.
Â
Have a good un
Neil

Well Well
Is Dakey right ( did I really say that!!!!!!!!!!!! )
Another stomping win for the reds with City Faultering again Level now and the predication was lets see at the end of Jan
Dave and the boys you must be a little worried now all that great footie and you have not shaken then. A few tricky fixtures for Utd coming but if they survive then its gonna get close.
On a far better note Chelski dropping points again also the scouser failing at home to Blackburn and combine that with the Chelski Spurs draw and it could end up a good new year for my lads.
Looking forward to watching the game in the bar with Jay and as its the only one maybe in stereo on all three ( but only if we are winning)
It was nice to see old trafford full the cabs in london must have made a fortune ferring fans to the main line!!!!!!
FA cup approaching looking forward to that one...lol also CL it will be nice for myself Jay and George to have all the space I dont expect the Manchesters to comment much on the europa frieght rover either way.
Have a good new year all
Neil

Neil,
"Is Dakey right?"Â "Is the Pope a Catholic?"Â I studied the fixtures and the relative merits of both clubs and while I did not account for our horrendous injury list I also underestimated the strength and resolve of our squad, so the result was always a no brainer for me that we would catch and overtake the bitters by mid january. What I also never foresaw was that we would overturn their massive goal difference as well, now that is a bonus.
We have shown our mettle in adversity once again and shame on you all for doubting us, now we will see the mettle of the bunch of overpaid mercenaries at Eastlands now the pressure is on and I predict the squabbling and unrest in the camp will be deafening. Next up for them will be our squad men, Brown, O Shea, Richardson and Bardsley led by possibly our next manager O Neil. That will test their resolve to the limit.Â
Anyway Neil, no wonder we have thousands of Cockney Reds to bolster the 60,000 locals at every O/T game, I mean apart from Spurs who are at least trying to make a fist of it, all the other London Clubs, Chelsea, QPR, Fulham and Arsenal are all on the same level and you wouldnt pay to watch some of the dross being served up in the name of football would you?
Cheers, Dakey

Dakey lets look at the post it says'' is Dakey Right NOT Dakey is right big difference. Dakey I always think of myself as a footie fan first above all and if you call yourself a footie fan and think that Arsenal serve up dross you need to change the glasses you are wearing. We developed the style of footie that all now try and copy and even the draw yesterday was entertaining throughout. Utd City both a pleasure to watch most of the time and will take pleasure in watching great footie who ever is playing.
I can not abide people who will watch only one side and discount all others and I know many like it and be honest they are nearly all Utd fans. How can you get a balanced view when you only see one side all the time?
Back to the footie
Spent yesterday watching the Games ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH drew the most onsided game of the season Jay and myself were in agony watching and with Spurs winning a very bad day at least as Chelski and the scousers drew as well with teams in the lower half.
So next is the cup thats still gonna be fun and we resume with London Tuesdays nad Wednesday and Manchester Thursdays so get used to even more Sunday Footie.
Have a great new year
Neil

Neil,
You have been having a bit of fun in your last few posts regarding London transport for Utd fans etc that i found mildly amusing, so when I stretch the truth a little regarding your football ( I meant Chelsea actually, but threw the gunners in to get a response from you and it worked) dont spit out your dummy mate, take it in the spirit intended. I only ever set out to offend when it is concerning the bitters.
Cheers, dakey

Hello fellas Just walked in the door and caught the second half on the streampro feed!! NOW THAT'S THE WAY TO FINISH OFF THE YEAR BOYS! Grinning from ear to ear. Arsenal missed a hatful and it should of been more (broken record on that front as usual) but QPR put a spirited 2nd half performance so 3 points is 3 points especially after the villa, swans and dare I say the rovers done their jobs! On another subject it was a real pleasure to hook up with Neil in the Condado Club and I'd like to say what great job they have done with the place. My whole family loved it and we enjoyed watching (the excruciatingly frustrating) 1-1 draw with wolves. Nice work can't wait to get back in February. Good catching up with George and all the society boys as well in their new home. Finally Happy New Year to you all and I hope it brings you happiness health and wealth in 2012 Cheers Jay & family

Half expected Spurs to slip up away from home as its going to happen from time to time.
And with Arsenal, Utd, and Chelsea all with fairly easy home games expected to drop a few points against them.
But Dakey what happened?? 2nd only by GD losing to team on the bottom of the pile...even injuries can't explain that one. And then Chelsea losing at home as well. Knew it would be too good to be true for Ars to follow suit.
Have to say a draw away didn't look half as bad after the other results. But a win would have been ooh so good.
Spurs need to right the ship and have a few wins in a row as we have all the big teams coming up in a row (around Feb) and most of them away.
Like you say Dakey its not a sprint

Hey guy's
Not much to this football lark is there!! We did not even have to kick a ball yesterday and where we could have been under real pressure going to Sunderland that is now not the case.
All the best to everyone for the new year
Tony

Come on you Mackems! We had half a squad, got battered, defended brilliantly and managed to create the best chances. Then we only go and rob them - with an off side goal!!!!! Love it!
This is my first and possibly last post here (given the way our season could go and that we'll probably lose the next game) but had to say something.
