George,
From what I saw there, No I will not excuse it and he should receive a retrospective ban once the FA have had a look. Other than that, what a fantastic cup tie that was, 2-0 up at half time and should have been four, I admit I was thinking about the semi final draw and who we would get. Now I am not a big fan of Chelsea as you know, but that second half effort from your guys was exceptional and by the end we were chasing shadows and fortunate to end up with a draw. It has been a tough week and we could do with a bit of a break to recoup, but we will just have to step it up and go again. It looks like the "easy draw God" has deserted the bitters and it is now going to be a titanic battle between the three of us to reach the final. I for one cannot wait for the next installment.

Nice to hear from you George - wondered what had happened to you! Well done Chelsea, deserved the draw after we ran out of steam in the second half. Look forward to the replay should be quite a game. Whoever gets through Shitty will have to play a decent team for the first time in the competition after their byes to the semis. Wonder what that cost Chavvy?

No wobble mate, we have just played two top teams, suffered some bad luck but aquitted ourselves admirably. The one slight and I mean slight thing that may cause us a problem is the great ones occasional blip on the team selection front. He has got a strong squad with almost everyone chomping at the bit for a game, but although we have a lot of top players we have two stand out players in Rooney and RVP and Fergie has inexplicably left them both out of one game each in two very important cup ties. I could understand it if the league was tight but we all know it is done and dusted, so I think he may have dropped a little clanger there in the last two games, but at least we are still in the FA cup and can put it right and even though it will be hard at Chelsea it will be just as hard for them to beat us.

If we had taken our chances at 2-0 DG wouldnt have had a save to make. I credit Chelsea for digging in and turning the game on its head but that is what can happen when two top teams meet head on. Now I am not saying your sad lot cannot win the semi, but what I am definately saying is that every time you have met a decent team in this years and last years cup competitions inc the CL you have come up short. you will have to raise your game about 5 levels just to have a chance of competing with either us or Chelsea and I am not sure you have it in your locker.
You sound more and more like your silly clueless manager every day " Utd are just a lucky team... blah blah..."

That horrible individual of a manager Old Bacon Face shows his class once again by refusing to shake hands with his opposite number before the game! Quite rightly benitez didnt offer his hand again to him at the end!
He should be stripped of the knighthood as far as i am concerned because that is NOT the behaviour expected of a Knight.
Knighthoods are bestowed on individuals due to their chivalrous nature, for example they should be gracious and honorable toward an enemy, especially a defeated one, and toward the weak or poor and not act like a spoilt arsey brat!!!!
What a complete waster that man is without morals or manners, get back to the other side of the wall where he belongs I say!

Morning Gents
In terms of yesterday's second half melt down Im putting it down as fatigue/tiredness from Tuesday (Not going to harp on about Tuesday but all in all I personally though we played well and were unlucky, their keeper made some blinding saves and as for the red card, nuff said etc) one note of concern for me is where we are going to fit this replay in, we already have to find a date for West Ham away (Should have been on Sat just gone) then IF or should I say WHEN we beat Chelski in the replay we would be due to play Citeh on 13th or 14th April (100% nailed on it will be Sunday 14th at 17.30 kick off just so it a nightmare trying to get back up north as last train is 8pm) we should be playing Stoke away on 13th so that will need to be moved also, only date I can see Chelski replay being played is Tuesday 2nd April or if Chelski do not progress in Europa Cup then Wednesday 10th April.
Im hearing rumours Chelski will cut our allocation (We are entitled to 6275 tickets as its FA Cup game) to 4.5k as they felt their stewards couldnt cope when we took over 6k for Capital cup game earlier in the season (So much for a big club, simple answer-get more stewards and coppers on duty, or is that to simple or due to cost cutting by the Russian?)
Anyway after a week of cup games its back to getting our trophy back with a nice home game against Reading whilst Citeh visit Everton.
Jay/Neil- Have faith lads I still think you will finish 4th (You have only got one hard game left and thats us at end of April)

Dont worry about tiredness mate, in a couple or three games time the league will be won and Fergie can play the youth team in the league if he wants to rest top players for the cup games. Plus there is only a maximum of 3 cup games to go so how hard can it be. It would be different if we were still in the CL as everyone knows that we should be, then it could have got a bit tricky.

you must have some time on your hands to trawl through all this stuff just to find ABU material! Some cracking goals on that compilation, but I must defend the officials in the one you refer to against Utd. (and you would expect me to) It was a fantastic strike by Keegan no doubt about that and the Keeper would never have got anywhere near it....BUT, in those days there was no such thing as silly second phase offside/onside etc, if you were deemed to be interfering with play it was offside end of. In the clip you will see as keegan hits the ball Armstrong is offside in the centre of the area directly in front of the keeper, thus attracting the keepers attention and interfering with play. so I am afraid it was offside all day long. (didnt matter anyway as we got beat) I think also that most people would go back to that simple interpretation of offside rather than what we have now if they could.

Afternoon Gents
Another classic by the FA, although we knew that dates were tight I think this is a bit of an ask, United v Chelski FA replay confirmed 12.30 kick off Easter Monday (definate lack of trains that day, again no thought for supporters) yet United are away to Sunderland 3pm Sat afternoon and Chelsea home to Southampton 3pm Sat afternoon. Big ask for both teams playing 2 games in such short space of time, be interesting team line ups.
Also as Ive mentioned before, its nailed on if we beat Chelski our semi against Citeh will be Sunday late kick off as again lack of trains.
