Dave,
As you know I frequent the Gardeners Arms on sandy lane when I am home, it used to be a base for City supporters club meetings. The landlord 'Shep' who you no doubt know had to sever the link even though he is a City fan as apart from about 4 people in on meetings nights no one else would use the pub. When the new landlord ( a Utd fan ) took over, he gave the meeting room to a pigeon racing club and it is packed out. There are three big screens that show all Utds games and a small portable with a looped ariel on top showing some city games. With this mix, the pub is always packed out, apart from the corner with the portable telly in. I am just telling you this so that if it is you or the City fan who has took over is reading this post, you will both realise that you will have to tone down your loyalty to the bitters and do what is right to make money and that includes the least reference to Man City that you can get. Then it might be possible to earn a few bob out of the venture.Â
Whoever it is though, good luck and I look forward to transfering the banter from my local at home to my local on Condado.
Cheers, Dakey

Some nice points Dakey and quite comical. Just for George and Jay and Shane and some of the out of town boys I'll give them a little bit more information which will explain better
Dakey lives in a quaint little hamlet of Rochdale called Middleton ( Stop laughing Chaddyowl) Its always been a hotbed of Blues.
On match days quite a few of the local pubs show games and some lads go out to watch em.
I totally accept that on United home days the pub in question might be fuller. What possible reasons could there be??????
I know you've all guessed it!!!! All the City fans are at the City match heh heh heh
You'd still be barred

Dave,
I will have to clarify a bit further for our out of town friends, the only time our upmarket town of Middleton is a hotbed of blues is at night when all you blues come up from Moston to burgle our homes, but that is another story.
What you also fail to point out is that although the pubs are packed all around Manchester with reds on match day, the ground is also packed with 75,000+ fans 50,000 of which are locals. On match days for City the pubs are empty because all 45,000 of you are at the game trying to fill a 49,000 seater stadium and failing. That my friend is because there is only 45,000 of you altogether with nothing left for the pubs. I think you will accept those statistics as factual, even someone as bias as you mate.

Think I need to correct you Dave old pal!
I think you will find that its called Miggleton as the locals say holding their 6 fingers in the air!!
You been on the sauce Dakey lad with your description of Miggleton as Upmarket?? Surely your describing Langley there arent you which is a hotbed of red!! red claret that is when they are knocking F%*k outta the missus when the lowly Utd have lost in a major final! ie: CL

Chaddy,
I can see I am going to have some fun with you this season mate, I am actually a Moston lad born and bred but I moved upmarket to Middleton when I got married ( not the Langley side) In fact I now live in the Middleton area that is close to Chadderton. You have a bit of a cheek calling anyone from anywhere. You Chaddies are not from Oldham or Manchester, you are from that inbred community inbetween, In fact I think your lot started off when a Manchester tramp f..... a pig behind Mills Hill station.

This is getting very personal and I think I need to remind you all that you can all hit harder and much much lower than that!!
I'm f88kin sick to death of hearing about Cesc & Barca. Why cant Pep get his cheque book out, Arsene get his cheque book out and everyone just shut the f88k up! Have you ever had a situation like this drag on and on and on and on!!!! like this........it's pathetic.
We just need to let the lad go at a fair market price and move on. As for Nasri come on Dave do something really obscene I reckon if you really want him we'll let him go this year for 60million. Then with the 40 Million we'll get for Cesc we can go out and spend 3 Million or so. I'm so excited!!!

Dakey,
Mills Hill railway station is in the Mills Hill area of Middleton in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester, England.
Sort ya geography out Dakey lad!
Think the Ben Brierley was probably more your stamp Dakey lad with the class and quality that Red pub had, that why you had to do a moonlight over to Hollins in Miggleton!!
Hope you got your Visa when you fly off route due to poor geographical skills and drive over the border into Gods country of Oldham pal!! We dont take kindly to you 7 fingered type coming over the border and repatriation is swift and painful unlike our current ineffective Border Control set up!
Best Regards Chaddy

Chaddy,
I shouldnt have to remind you that Oldham is no longer (or never was) Gods country, it is Allahs country now. I suppose we have to thank our Muslim friends for at least giving the area a sense of community, for before they arrived Oldham was just a big festering boil on the arse of Manchester.
Adjust your flares and penny round shirt Chaddy and keep them coming.

Jay you sound like you need cheering up mate. I read on one of the other threads your out at Condado soon, that'll do the trick. I was out this weekend and it was magic. The new market was astonishing and the crowds were strange to see. Makes me laugh reading the whingers trying to find fault with it.
Edwards getting his footie pitches ready so the games should be as good as last year xx
Now about Arsenal****!!!!???? Agree about the Cesc thing, its a running saga now with only one outcome and you must spend well with the money you get. Wouldn't be surprised if Nasri goes next year on a free. I cant see them allowing both to go
I love the way City are playing with Tevez and his agent. He'll go on our terms and we'll make sure if its south america, which is best for all of us, the money is up front
Replacement wise, my 19 year old lad says Aguerro is superb??? I think he means on his FIFA game though ha ha
Was out at City kit launch last week where all the transfer staff turned up. The big rumours were Aguerro, Nasri and that Schneider might sign just before we play Inter in Dublin. Pre season looks good
Dakey called the Charity shield right, its either the first trophy of the season or a meaningless friendly depending on the result. Chaddy seems to be working him well at the moment

Chaddy,
Me again, I have just been looking through that little peice on middleton in your post and low and behold it quotes; " Mills Hill is on the common Boundary between Middleton and Chadderton and so serves both Communities" I used to live 50 yards away in one of the last 4 houses in Chadderton on the main road next to B&B windows, so you see I am part inbred myself.
I have to agree with your comment on my poor geography though, I used to leave for school every morning and end up in Manchester Arndale.
Cheers, Dakey

Dave, Chaddy,
'Tevez deal falls through' now wasnt that a big surprise, who in gods name would pay 40 million for such a whinging b..........!
When he left Utds' reserves in the lurch and joined City there wasnt exactly a queue of clubs clamouring for his services. Now he wants out of the council house there are even less interested. I think this is where club policy kicks in and you circulate clubs all around Europe offering him on loan with the guarantee that you will pay 2/3rds of his salary. It is a sound policy as it is working with about 50% of your current squad. I have heard that you have brought in Michael Mcintyre as club spokesman as it is looking more like the comedy roadshow with every passing day.
Cheers, DakeyÂ

Dave,
Tevezs' 35 million pound deal falls through, nobody else interested at that price, so what do the business moguls at Eastlands do? lets up the asking price to 50 million! Am I just thick or am I missing something? Down the line you are going to have Dzeko and Ballotelli on 200 grand a week each leading your line, then Real Madrid will have Adebayour and Tevez leading their line on loan, with City picking up the tab for most of it. We wont even mention the 50 grand a week that you will be paying someone for Craig Bellamy. Is it any wonder that fans are disillusioned with football with this sort of nonsense going on and still you are linked with every player that flashes their eyelids at you. We are still 3 weeks away from the action and the fun just keeps coming.

Silver prices are very weak at the moment due to the big sales of baubles in Miggy at Argos and the remnants of silver in OLD trafford!!
However at the other end of the city the price of our reserves are sky rocketing in the form of Gold that we have (Liquid Gold that is) which will see a sharp (Old Sponsor of scum) move in the markets and the balance of power!!
Mark my words Dakey lad!
Good luck and cheers Chaddy

Dave, Chaddy,
Just read that Wayne Rooney has said he intends to be as good as Messi and take his World footballer of the year award off him. I know that will give you a chuckle, but as a Utd fan I believe he could do it...... the week after he is voted the " Worlds most attractive man!"Â You are good Wayne, better than anything the bitters have got or are buying, but better than Messi, son. Dream on.

Rooney and Neville could battle for that prize.
By the time the season starts Man City will need at least a couple of buses to take their players to games if they don't start offloading some soon. Read Adebayor was training with the youth team...thats a waste.
Shows the huge gap between teams...but then again it should make for an interesting season.
I'm hoping Spurs can hold off the other Billionaire and keep Modric. I doubt we could ever replacer him unless Madrid give us another call on deadline day!
