finniest thinng jay was that when your outfit were singing boring chelsea , the camera went straight to george graham and the commentator said funny old world when l'arse were winning boring 1-0 games l'arse fans were as happy as pie! and then he said its 10 years since l'arse were 2nd in the league, i nearly wet myself then, btw thats 13 unlucky games for le voyeur again le god without a win

Couple of fluke results in games we have dominated wont derail us. Dust ourselves down and go again. George, you may win the league true but your style is crap and it is only a matter of time before Jose gets binned again for it. Last 5 years, both us and City have won more leagues than you so not much to crow about there mate. Your winnings will be deposited in the Clover mate no need to remind me every post. I just hope you pay up as quick next year.

dakey, can you enlighten me as you are excellent with statistics, who has the best PL record for man u, van gaal or moyes?
Btw an interesting anecdote on possession, if a man throws a ball for a dog to catch the dog is in possession of the ball for the longer length of time but who is actually in charge of the ball!

This weekend has reinforced my belief that luck plays a big part of it. Another 80% pocession game and another unexplainable defeat. However, you also have to find ways to win as Chelsea scrape yet another 1 goal win with yet another dive and Terrys impression of a goalkeeper going unpunished for a blatant palace penalty. Never mind, congratulations and lets hope Roman doesnt get bored with all the parking the bus tactics this time around.
As for Utd, it is clear that we are only a whisper away from having a team that will dominate Europe and a fruitful summer spending on the defender and goalscorer we obviously need should sort that little problem out.

dakey did you know that is only the 4th penalty chelsea have recd in the Pl this season, and although slightly dubious it does make up for the one not given when ospina landed an ice hockey take out on oscar which sent him to hospital with concussion. but jay said was a dive. you couldnt make it up.btw terry didnt handle and palace never claimed a pen, think you need to go to spec savers. but heho , a 13 point lead and the title wrapped up with 3 games to go and having had to play the last 6 weeks of the season with the 2 main strikers out injured and only an old man up front shows remarkable resileince and really does explain why there has been a lack of goals in recent matches but overall only man city have scored more PL goals all season. Very pleased to see JT send his condolences to RIO for the sad loss of his young wife and that really does put football into perspective.

Well done George. Nobody complained about (1-0) Arsenal winning under George Graham - my only comment is that Chelsea are better than that, and are by the far the best team this year and should really stuff everybody!
I used to love Jose, but his mind games detract from the brilliance of his team and while he is the best manager around, he should just let his team do the talking.
Some fantastic signings last summer, just hope Brendan Rogers and the directors at Liverpool take note!

George,
The official stats reveal that Utd have had the most injuries this season by far, but I have not harped on about it. The back four last game finished with two wingers at full back and a converted midfield youth team player at centre back. Given that it is a miracle we have a chance of top four. It is patently clear however that defence has to be strengthened as teams are scoring against us with only 25% of the game. Once we address that in the summer we will be in the mix next year. In the meantime, enjoy. It has been a long time coming.

barry you are 100% correct. i think a couple of things made for a change of game plan after the great soccer played before new year, the 9 goals conceded to spurs and bradford must have hurt jose more than the average cfc fan who really didnt care that much , also the injury to costa and remy at the same time and finally the defeat to psg, so it became a win at all costs. but hopefully for the rest of this season and certainly the start of next then the expansive footy will come back, and you are right about l'arse fans, heard them singing 1-0 to the arsenal last night again, bet they miss those days- at least then they won things-lol

Arsenal and Chelsea are very well settled manager wise, something that cannot be said of either of the Manchester clubs. Man Utd dipped after Busby retired, and are doing similar post Ferguson's exit from the manager's seat, if they achieve 4th place I reckon that they will have done well. However Man City appear to be looking at 2nd place as failure, perhaps this is very misfounded elitism, let us see what next season brings.

Well, Thats Memphis Depay all wrapped up even before the transfer window, next seasons business has started already and it is obvious LVG has no intention of being left at the gate next year. Still 3rd in the rich list table behind Madrid and Barca, despite no CL football and miles ahead of other English clubs. Keep up lads!!
