Villa didn't bother turning up for this one, Tim Sherwood wears his heart on his sleeve, so I reckon a right old ear bashing followed the teams dire performance.Â

Jay,
Nice one and well deserved, however we said the same last year and after breaking the trophy duck a title challenge and a real go in the CL was expected this year and despite slight improvement it has not happened. You really must step up next year in those comps.
In the meantime enjoy.

Don't disagree with any of those points.
Lost my old man on Wednesday so I shed more than a couple in the stand at Wembley at the final whistle.
Whislt he was not an ardent supporter he was a gunner and liked to take me to the games at Highbury in the early 80's as I enjoyed them so much.
RIP Dad x

Sorry to hear that your Dad has passed away - both of us know that feeling.
Jeremy was at the match as well on Saturday. He got back to Cardiff about midnight watched the game again on match of the day then again at 08.25 sunday morning (match of the day) then the open top bus going through Islington then the match again in the evening (match of the day) .
Most of Sunday I just looked at a green screen.  Do I get over it or punch the tellies lights out or punch Jeremy's lights out.  Answers please folks - make them nice as some threads well we just don't see eye to eye do we.

Jay,
Sorry to hear about the passing of your father, Mine passed on in late March so I know how gut wrenching that is and my prayers are with you and your family. Football matters pale to nothing in comparison mate.

Thanks Dakey and my sincerest condolences to you mate.Â
Chaddy you've skilfully avoided me there with them dates. We're there virtually all the time in between your dates. No doubt I'll catch you next time round mate.
I'll make sure Neil gets the money for our bets.
cheers

It appears that  with the hot breath of FC Utd breathing down the bitters necks as the 2nd biggest team in Manchester, they have completely ignored FFP rules and are offering mega money all over the shop for everyones star players. I can see the biggest ever fines and bans from competition coming over the horizon soon although a ban from the CL is pointless as they never progress very far in it anyway.

Chaddy,
Seeing as how we 'won' the mini league of the top 7 clubs those fixtures would have been welcomed by us. We had an easier start on paper last year and look how that panned out so it doent really matter mate. We will play each team twice and finish on top no matter when we play them.

Chaddy you won nothing, we won nothing, but we did come out on top of the mini league of the top 7 teams. In a period of transition that still makes us better than your sorry bunch. Now you are trying to buy your way back up despite FFP and will end up with loads of players who dont mind playing in half empty stadiums as long as the pay check is there every week. What a brilliant model for running a club that is eh?
