Jay,

Its falling on deaf ears mate. Blue shite, you will never know how good it feels to spend 37 million quid of EARNED income on top players.

It's a bad business model that is not sustainable and leaves your clubs in deficit every season!
It's put unbelievable amounts of financial pressure on all clubs within the league not just the top four, not to mention all fans pockets. I'll get with the times Dave but when two clubs have unlimited unearned resources than that my friend really is a cartel.

It's not just arsenal and utd saying it.

Sorry mate its not your fault but thems the facts.

Jay

Jay,

Take the owners out of it and the clubs generate about as much as a corner shop!

City have started a team in America and now Australia and also a womens team..... I suppose if you have enough teams then you might just nick a trophy here and there eventually.

So we should all fall back and let Manure and maybe Arse (once the stadium debt is cleared) dominate English football, coz one generates the most worldwide and one generates the most on matchdays due to ticket prices for the wealthy?

The Arse were the first ones to push ticket prices over £40 for the away fans - they started me thinking this has gone too far and that was back around 2002, well before the business models of many clubs changed, i lasted a couple more years but felt more and more fleeced as Chelski and Spuds put their's over £40 (I believe we're now at £60+ for away fans in London), got sod all to do with other clubs models, it was there to start with, it's what the market will take, it's life, and yep maybe life ain't fair when it doesn't always go in your favour.

Personally i really admire how Arse have managed the funding of the new stadium and how ArseN has managed the team to relative success on a tight budget whilst the stadium debt was brought down/under control. Always said that Arse would reap the rewards one day of 'no debt' and very high match day revenues due to the punters that can afford those prices (the Mancs can't) those days are getting close. With TV money and general sponsorship still rising in complete opposite to the rest of society Arse & Manure would indeed be streets ahead in monetary terms without other clubs having financial backers, wouldn't that be fair ............... and fun?

In fact lets go back to the really good old days when clubs shared the gate receipts and we had the maximum wage, now wouldn't that be fairer, or would that not be fair either to Manure and Arse as it created more competition than is fair to what they perceive .......

Shampers,

If you cannot attract enough fans then yes, settle for what your club can generate, anyone can spend someone elses money without earning it, thats easy. Thats why I think my other half cannot really get any pleasure out of her new shoes and handbags. now if she had earned them then that would be a different kettle of fish. Same principle mate. I do agree with one point of yours, Arsenals ticket prices are a disgrace but to compete with the likes of you and Chelsea they really have little choice in todays game if they want to win things, the money has to come from somewhere and in their case it is the fans as they havent got a sugar daddy.

Our season tickets are just about to go Up 3% taking my basic ticket to over a grand!! They are too much money but unfortunately they have to as Dakey said otherwise we couldn't compete with chelski and your mob.

It's a very sorry state of affairs and I'd sign up to shared gate receipts and maximum wage limits straight away. If they can do it in the U S of A the most capitalist country in the word they can do it here.

It sickens me

So ARSEnil fleece fans and thats ok eh? Dont make me laugh.

And Man Ure were bought by Glazer on a loan and he fleeced them LOL

City were obviously of sufficient quality for money bags to get involved in and all of a sudden that is lower than a snakes belly is it?/ LMAO

Listen you clowns if he had gone to your 2 outfits you would still be watching them, Jay paying out and fleecing fans and dakey Lad from his LMFAO

Jealousy and bitterness will make you feel sick Jay, don't beat yourself up over it, accept that this is the capitalist world we live in, the owners of both Manure & Arse are delighted about how much money they have made (from you, but not Dakey), it's them that couldn't give a toss about you, when you gonna realise? cool

Players wages and transfer fees have been inflated by the new money in the game and that's what forced the rise in ticket prices. I acknowledge your appreciation of the way arsenal have self financed the last 8 years but surely we should all be aiming for this. It looks like that will never be feasible for chelski and citeh as you simply don't turnover the money and are unlikely to be able to.

I sincerely promise you that I'm not jealous of either club as I'm not of utd or Liverpool but unlike the latter two i do resent the way that they are financed as fundamentally it uncompetitive and believe it or not I'm all for fair competition as in Germany for example and look their ticket prices. So it can be done.

You may as well bark at the moon mate. The best thing for football would be for Eufa and Fifa to close them both down along with Barca who it has been reported that they paid £34 MILLION to Neymars PARENTS!!! Now even that puts our two blue shite teams in the shade, but I am sure they both would do exactly the same without batting an eyelid. Thats why clubs like ours and Liverpool have to keep bettering them on the pitch every season, now that would really sicken them!

Eto'o - what a plonker. Jose obviously doesn't like a dose of his own medicine. West Ham went for a point and got it. Boring but Chelsea fans. Should be used to watching that. Well done the Ammers.

Manchester City post $97 million loss
30/01/14, 11:19 AM

Price of success: High-flying Manchester City are heavily in the red.

City's Annual Report

Manchester City lost more than £51.6 million ($97 million) last year, exceeding the amount allowed under UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules.
The Abu Dhabi-owned club announced on Wednesday that it lost £149.5 million ($284 million) between 2011 and 2013, the first FFP monitoring period.

UEFA is allowing losses of only up to €45 million ($70 million) in that two-year period.
Clubs exceeding that amount risk being sanctioned, and could be banned from playing in Europe.
There isn't a single mention of FFP compliance in the annual report that was released on Wednesday.
To comply with FFP, City could point to its spending on infrastructure, the cost of long-term player contracts, and losses coming down.
After losing £97.9 million in 2011-12, City posed a loss of £51.6 million in 2012-13 and revealed that net spending since then in the summer transfer window was £84. 1 million.
The 2012-13 losses would have been more than the previous year had City not generated £47 million by selling "intellectual property", which could include its branding, to "third parties" or "related parties".
Salaries jumped by 15 per cent to £233 million in 2012-13.
But City disclosed that it was now operating with "zero financial debt", while announcing that turnover had risen to £271 million.
"Growing revenues and controlled expenses are bringing the club to break-even in the immediate future and profitability thereafter," chief executive Ferran Soriano said on Wednesday.
The first UEFA decisions on FFP compliance are expected during March and April.
European football's governing body will analyse whether deals by clubs with companies connected with the owner were at market value or were over-inflated to boost revenue.
Abu Dhabi-owned Etihad Airways is City's kit sponsor and has the stadium naming rights.

You're F'ckd come on UEFA deal wiv em!!

You ain't got no intellect or no property to sell hahaha

Bitter reds ............ yet another ring to it to go with the Arse & Manure.

2 highest paid players in the Prem, Van Persil and Looney, £250k p/w and Looney wants more if he's going to stay, perhaps if they took a paycut then ticket prices could fall ? Maximum wage anyone ?
