Jay my friend,

we may have the banter, but Man Utd v Arsenal is by far the game that all neutrals look forward to as both teams play their football in the right way, with the attitude if you score 3 we will get 4. The fans and the managers would not allow any other way [except for the last time you won a trophy, on penalties at Wembley after we had hit the woodwork 4 times and Wenger did not allow you to come in our half of the pitch. A bit like the bitters on occasions nowadays] Despite your little dig about our fans, both clubs have the biggest local support as well as a big cosmopoliton support and that is because people will travel a long way to be entertained.

It is nice to see everything falling apart at Chelsea, the players are getting old, the owner is a nutcase who has stopped bankrolling the club so gradually as they have to work within their earned income they will slip back down into mid table mediocrity where they came from. The same will eventually happen to our neighbours when their sugar daddy gets bored and do you know something, UTD and ARSENAL, living within their operating income will still be there battling it out at the top. You enjoy the game tomorrow as well, but not too much.

Cheers Dakey

I was just on my way to bed when something dawned on me, it only seemed like yesterday that we had the Rooney saga with my mate citydave saying  how it was all falling apart for us and the best players wanted to leave etc etc. I just wondered what your thoughts are now dave with your best player Tevez on his bike and unrest at the club? they say what comes around goes around  dont they.

Cheers, Dakey

Obviously gutted that a striker on the top of his form seems to want to leave. A big thing I hope is that the reasons he gives are totally truthfull. I hope it isn't a contact ploy and I don't believe it is one. Unlike poor Wayne, Carlos doesn,t seem to get the same amount of stick about him being caught out in the press having an affair and his wife leaving.

He is a very good grafting player with the best  goalscoring record in the premiership. If he needs tro go back to South America then that's a shame for us. At the moment we look a very decent side, more with but also without him.

We seem to have pandered a lot to him off the field. The major worry in the situation which doesn't quite ring true is that he states his fallout, which is now irreconcilable, is not with Mancini but with Cook and presumably (the always hated at football clubs) director of football brian marwood. why is tevez even talking to these hierachy personnel, if not about wages or contracts????

Phil Mcnulty has done a beltin blog on the BBC website about agents today. City were very happy talkin to Joorabchian to get Tevez but don,t like him now, similar to Unit being happy to talk to Rooneys agent persuading him to leave Everton but not wanting him to mither about contracts regularly.

Five weeks ago we were eleven points behind Chelsea now we are one ahead??? what a funny season already. Still a lot more twists to come.

Prediction tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2-1 to Jay's glory gooners

Dave

Gettin ready for Juventus reserve match on Thursday

Hello gents,

Dave....You really couln't write the script for Ciddy if you tried could you.....!!      Just as you Bittermen get within touching distance of the summit.....they implode again into crisis........Priceless.      "Agent Tevez come-in please.....your work is now done", now off you go back to Argie you spineless Tw*t............Still I am sure Ballotelli will restore calm & order at Wastelandsover the coming weeks....ha ha.

Looking forwrd to tonights game - As Dakey suggests, I hope both teams give it a real go.   The first half of the Spurs-Chelsea game yesterday was a belter......more of the same tonight I hope.

Cheers for now

Nick

Dave, buddy,

I must be mellowing as I am actually in agreement with some of the things you say lately. I agree totally with your last comment " still a lot more twists to come". That is absolutely correct.............. before we know which one of you secures runners up spot!

Cheers, Dakey

Well Jay,

You threw on the big guns and gave it a real go last 20 mins but I have to say that was the easiest game our back four have had all year, not bad for a struggling team eh? We have now played Londons finest, Chelsea [comm' shield] Spurs and now Arsenal and seen off the lot of you and its supposed to be the end of an era. Someone forgot to tell us about it though. I have seen some stupid penalty techniques in my time but Rooneys takes the buscuit, why have footballers got to try and be clever with a free shot from 12 yards? Chelsea next for the chop and that will just about end their league campaign and all before a visit from Santa.

Got to rush now, the league table has just come up on the telly.

Cheers, Dakey

Dakey I feel an apology is due. We never showed up, never got a shot on target and after decent start from your mob, never took the initiative that utd virtually handed to us all second half. We simply did not have our usual cohesion and understanding in front of the utd penalty box and as consequence did not test van de sar. Our so called big guns are rusty guns right now and too many of the bright young stars did not shine tonight. All in all tonight was a bit of disappointment but certainly not a total disaster. Unlike Rooney's penalty.....you're right what's wrong with just running at the ball from a normal angle and picking your spot? Shame the game was not the spectacle it should of been but sometimes the games aren't the technical affairs due to the pace they are played at. Still the Arsenal aren't done yet it's December the 13th not March 13th and whilst after tonights game I'm fractionally less confident I still think we're right in there and they'll be some twists & turns yet!! Good luck against the mental case sugar daddy backed chelski, doing them on Sunday does everyone a favour. Cheers for now Jay

Dakey

I see you left West Ham out from the list of London Teams!

Was a bit disappointed in last nights game but Man U seem to have a habit of sneaking the big games, even if they're not at their best.  Will be interesting if they can get the same results away from home against the big London teams.

Wondering when Chelsea will turn it around...because it is when not if.  Maybe next week??

Cheers

Shane

Shane Mate,

I did not include West Ham for the same reason I did not include Crewe, who l think also beat our reserves. The only player who started both last nights game and the West Ham game was Anderson and he is only in because Paul Scholes is injured. Lets just see what our league eleven does to the hammers in the away league game after beating them 3-0 at home. we will see what happens against the London clubs away, starting with Chelsea on sunday [who by the way, we have already beaten in the capital this season at Wembley].

Cheers Dakey.

Ha ha...you probably should have been fined for the West Ham game a la Mick McCarthy and Wolves.

I will be very interested in the Chelsea game...not quite a make or break game for them but a loss would be giving Utd a nice head start at the halfway stage.

Pressure is on all the top teams really...one minute you're top and then a couple of games later you're 4th.  Its that close...makes these next few games all that more interesting.

Shane,

I have to disagree, early as it is,I think it is make or break for Chelsea, if they win it gives them a massive boost to confidence and they would be back in it. But if they lose they would be 6points behind us and we would have a game in hand with them still to come to the theatre. Too much for them to claw back I think. I see the challange coming from City, Arsenal and yes, Spurs. As you say the most competitive, interesting and close league for quite some time.

Cheers, Dakey

Most seasons I would agree...but weren't Chelsea 6 or more points ahead of Utd at some stage.

As a spurs supporter its nice to hear people mention us when talking about the league.  However I don't think it's realistic.  We conceed too many soft goals and miss too many chances.  Have an amazing midfield and are great to watch but need another season or so in my mind.

Jay,

look on the bright side, at least you will be able to focus all your efforts on the Carling Cup now you know this seasons adventure in the CL is over. You must feel as deflated as Liverpool did when the FA cup draw was made.

Cheers, Dakey

Jonew,

The carling cup is very important to us, it gives us a chance to give our reserve players games in the first team and despite some setbacks like West Ham, the mainly reserve team has won it in 3 of the last 5 years so cant complain. No problem with Leeds win last year, thoroughly deserved on the day, even if it was law of averages rather then ability. Nice to see Leeds making a strong bid for promotion because if I am honest, I really miss the cannon fodder!

Cheers Dakey

Wouldn't call the teams put out by Man U in the past finals reserve teams.

Maybe a few in there getting their chances but most of the team would be the regular players.

Then again I wouldn't expect top teams to be putting their best team out every game....players need a break and new/young players need some gametime.

On the snow causing the games being postponed...could make it very interesting depending when the Chelsea v Man Utd game is rescheduled.
