Definitely the silly season.... Apparently the new Chelsea boss wants to win with entertaining, attacking football. Now that will be a first - he'll after sell off most of his first team squad and get some new guys in quick !

Hola Dakey missed ya

Nearly funny mate and you always manage to get some reaction down south in Leicestershire.

Transfers mate!!! just keep watchin

3 notes

a) At this moment in time we need no one. All we required was the season to go on for 3 more weeks.

b) Will we be buying? oh god yes just you wait and see

c) Where on earth has that pile of dross you've spent money come from. Not one of the top six would give any of them a squad number!!!!!????

Headline baconface finally loses the plot. All our reds at work are laughing in disbeleif, thought I'd seen some Bebe buys before but bring back Djemba Djemba, Veron and Fortune rather than this

Dave,

I have really missed your nonsense over the past month or so, but you can tell the season is not far away as not a day goes by without either Tevez or Ballotelli saying they want to leave, they are having to balance their salaries against the fact that they absolutely would prefer to be almost anywhere else, add to that the fact that City then throw 27million pound bids at almost any player that pops his head over the parapet and you can see why we are all laughing our socks off again.

To then have a pop at the master with four titles out of the last five for investing in top young players that will secure our place at the top for a long time is quite churlish to say the least.

Anyway, you carry on with your 40 million bid for Neymar to partner Dzeko and dont be surprised if your strikers fail to score many goals as top dollar for inferior quality is invariably met with failure.

Cheers, Dakey

Don't believe a word that's written in most of the gutter press. All stories ask for a denial , which then becomes a headline in some other rag. We made a Sanchez offer with a time limit factor which wasn't accepted. The only other deal on offer is to Wes Schneider who has to decide what to do. The team is fitting together superbly and are a pleasure to watch. Watch and enjoy with us all next year

Now I know you as a fellow defender of your team at all costs and quick with some good hearted banter and witty remarks but you must be astounded and gutted at the level of player you are now bringing in. No other team with aspirations to champions league spots would have found room for them in a 24 man squad. I wonder if the money figures have been grossly overinflated to pretend that the double Glasers still have any money to spend??? How the once mighty are falling

Dave

180k a week for Nasri, come on please mate even you must admit that much more of this nonsence and the game we all grew up with and love will disappear up it's own hole.

The greed and mercinary actions from the players is being fuelled by these vulgar offers from Citeh/Chelski and the like. It's driving a wedge between the fans, players and clubs. I for one hate it and honestly feel that I would rather watch a bunch home grown kids from the manor that live breathe and sleep the club that they play for. Even maybe not qualify for the CL league or win much but get some loyalty and sanity back into the game. Wage capping needs to come in now and then the players who are a product of what the premier league has created might show a little more loyalty but I doubt it!!

Jay,

A wage cap will be too difficult to bring in, but Eufas' fair play rules are designed to force the guilty clubs to have to do it themselves and they have to stand firm and not give in. If they do that, then just watch these mercenaries squeal. A 13 million pound ceiling on spending unearned income to include wages and transfer fees should just about sort it out  and I for one cant wait for it to start.

Dave, you talk some utter shite mate, Liverpool offered more money for jones and a better wage but he plumped for Utd. Are the scousers not top six? Ashley young who by the way has been Englands best player in recent games was offered the best deal ever by Aston Villa to stay, but he chose Utd and never considered anyone else. Finally, Spains brightest young star De Gea fresh from his European triumph and just about to force his way into the best international team in the world has chose Utd over an array of options. We have not finished either, watch this space for a mega transfer to cement our position at the top with the youngest squad in the league. No light at the end of the tunnel then for anyone for years to come.

You just concentrate on your 20 million pound bid for the world class Baines to augment your other ex Everton megastar Lescott, now theres two players that wouldnt feature on anyone elses radar in the top two divisions never mind top six!

Jay, just to finish, you cant allow the bitters to steal Nasri and Clichy from you as they would then have a good chance of also pipping you for 4th spot next season.

Cheers, Dakey

Hiya Jay

I was driving home from work tonight when the news on Nasri came on the local sports radio about our interest. A major irony was that the Manchester Evening news back page headline was fergies desire to make him his last signing of the close season. Asking my opinion on the matter would take a lot more than a couple of paragraphs on here. I look forward to meeting you in the Clover one night and boring the girls silly. A couple of my thoughts

I said a couple of years ago that the investment in City is unbelievably vast. It cannot fail on or off the pitch. Iam privelaged to watch nearly all of city's games now in luxury. On match days I chat with my heroes and speak to the hierachy. Chelsea's investment does not come close

What happens when we do win regularly at first will be wonderful, possibly down the line the gulf may cause a bigger premiership gulf

That said, there has already been that gulf since the second season of the Premiership. The clubs involved at the top invested the huge wealth wisely, with some noticeable exceptions i.e. Leeds. This money was used by the biggest clubs to attract foreign stars. Even my other Loves Rangers managed it.

The prices paid on Ferdinands, Verons, Anelkas was more than we are paying now, this was mortgaged money based on staying at the pinnacle of the game. Not mythically earned cash from excellent business heads. The only way into this elite group was by financial power ala Chelsea.

Now that City are doing it, everyone is desperately annoyed. Our club is going forward at an astounding pace. The money and project go together and after watching my wonderful loyal club since my arrival from Scotland in 1966 I want this success to gallop at even greater speed. Off the field we have invested 1 billion pounds into the local infrastructure. Our youth developement produces more premiership players than any other club by far, we are playing attractive football and last year had 7 current England internationals

I believe a little of Dakey's recent argument that its such a long time for you Gooners to have been trophyless that unrest appears where other clubs would be well chuffed. Some of your world stars will leave without the medals of the wonderful Henry, Viera and Bergkamp

I think without major catch up investment you have become a selling club which I honestly don't believe is good for the English game

I,m so looking forward to next season and after 41years of season ticket holding I deserve it

Don't believe the wage waffle in the papers

Dave

Brilliant Dave,

Go back to bed and dream on, I will agree on one thing though, you and the rest that go to Eastlands do watch the games in Luxury, you can all stretch your legs over the adjoining empty seats while your teams football sends you all asleep.

Still laughin at those signings De Gea Spain's star???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he wasn't even Atletico's best keeper. Jones is no better than Evans and was at fault for Englands goals in U21's and Young is just the same clone as Walcott, Lennon, & SWP. Youv'e no idea which player will turn up on match days.

I'm pretty sure to be Englands best recent player you have to be chosen first ??????????? unlike Ashley. You can't have paid more than 5 million for that lot ha ha ha ha

Jay,as an ex season ticket holder you know why arsene doesnt spend the cash. He is more  corrupt than an all of them. He prefers to cash in his dividends!

BTW I heard this same story from 2 seperate arsenal season ticket holders !

So didnt give us all that chelski cash rubbish. Man Usa , arsenal family divis man city arab money

they are all the same -football is corrupt and thats why people are moving away from the game. that and the recession and i bet we see loads more empty seats this year.

Football from fifa to uefa to liga 1 to serie a to premier league is all the same .

"Our club is moving forward at an astounding pace" City Dave 2011.. That will go down as the quote of the century. When Chelsea had  their cash boost they immediately won the league twice, Dave, City have been the richest club in the world for FIVE years now and the highest finish has been third! snails pace I would say. One FA cup win, beating the likes of Notts County, Leicester and Stoke really does not cut it now does it mate.

George, we are all the same are we? is that why the money you are spending is all your owners, just like City and you just could not afford your players without it. Utd on the other hand are paying up to 80 million a year interest on our owners loans and still competing for top players and all out of our operating income. NOBODY IS GIVING US A PENNY PEICE! Clubs like ours and Jays Gunners have to prevail over your win at all costs outfits otherwise we will all be going to hell in a handcart.

For the time being lets just laugh at the usual comments at this time of the year like, "Utds time is up" or "you are buying crap players" or "we are behind you...tick tock" and just await the start of the campaign with renewed optimism and then we will see what transpires as usual.

Dave,

Do you know when the arabs took over? they were there when Hughes was manager, who mentioned Mancini. Anyway I woke up this morning to the momentus news that you had clinched mega deals for the superstars, Clichy and Savic......... Who in gods name are those two? There is talk of you paying 8 million for Clichy, which tells you how good he is as you religiously pay 25 million for average carthorses. Have you checked that he has got two legs? and you had the cheek to question Fergies judgement with our three potential young worldbeaters.

Just to finish, it was nice to hear from Nasri that money does not matter to him, its winning trophies that is his main driver. Put away the cheque book then Dave, because if he is true to his word then a straight fight between us has only got one outcome.

Cheers, Dakey

You took a while answering this one mate, thought you had a cob on. Your 5 years Arabs was over double the time they took over. As you well know, Frankie Shinnawattra apointed Hughes. I'll stick by my one and a half years.

I honestly don,t know a lot about Gael Clichy, Jay will have to comment about him. I thought he was older than 25

Savic is a belter. A young Montenegran from Partizan only 20 doesn't need a squad place number.

Oh how the Blue Moon is rising

Is Fergie gonna get his Biscuit tin out and buy any proper players

Dave

When you going over to Condado?

Dave,

You are so excited by your clubs immoral renaisance that you have forgotten your recent history. Shinnawatra took over in June 2007 and his reported wealth was 15.1 billion pounds, more than Abramovich. He sold to Sheikh Mansour in August 2008, who we all know has ponced and stole (alledgedly) his 560 billion fortune off the people, just like Shinnawatra. Nevertheless he now owns you and between them the period is in excess of 4 years, I just rounded it up a few months. Either way, a lot longer than 18months. please try to keep up with the programme.

Not working attall mate.

Frankie bought the club after investing 194million I don't think you'll be able to stretch that into being the richest club

I thought you would have been sensored by the eyeonspain people for comments about his royal highness

Dave,

This is a reputable forum and they only censor untruths. I am quite correctly pointing out that you have had richer owners than Chelseas Abramovich going into your fith year and while his wealth paid dividends immediately yours as yet has not, if you discount one paltry FA cup win against by and large small clubs ( with one obvious exception.)

Now David, please try and stick to factual content.

Dave,

Oh deary me, we get up this morning to yet another transfer request from your skipper, Tevez. Team spirit must be sky high down at the council house, unknown signings coming in for inflated fees and your best players queueing up to leave. I think Tevez has never got over Fergies rejection and he really needs some counciling to help him come to terms with it. The problem City have got is that he will join a long list of players who, because of the silly inflated contracts you have given them, will not find new clubs to match their wages. ie, Bellamy, Adebayor, now tevez and soon Ballotelli and others. I can see City paying a good percentage of other clubs wage bills just to move these players on! Have you got professional managers and admin at your tin pot club? One thing for certain though, you are keeping us all entertained whilst awaiting the return of the action.

Cheers, Dakey

Now Now boys! Stop it I warned you about this before you're acting like a couple of spoilt kids!!

Only kidding, keep it going it's making us all grin when really I suppose I should be crying.

Crying with laughter. Gael Clichy for 8 Million is very good business for Arsenal. A player with much promise that unfortunately just never made the cut and has been responsible for some of the most devastaing mistakes that actually ended up costing us vital wins at critical points within recent seasons. He makes absolutely awful decisions at the most important times and has given away penalties when there was no need. He's stats are good for various aspects of his play but when it comes down  to it he's delivery from wide positions is awful. I'm delighted now that at last Keiran Gibbs can step up and show what he's capable of although I still think he's better postion is in a more offensive midfield position and we'll have to replace Clichy with some sort of back up I guess.

As for Nasri I hope it goes to a massive bidding war and we can get rid of the little mercianary frog. It  feels a bit like when Rooney had Alex's pants down and was rodgering him for more cash. I don't believe a word any of em say. Clichy said in 2009 the only reason to go to City is for the money......well there you go boys.

All the best

Jay
