Thanks it was something most of us old Arsenal fans always remember. We have always enjoyed the way the club has been run on that rspect you never hear us moan.. but we agree time for silverware it always trickled in until now so time for a change.

WRONG
How some one can say that a team that has made finals and semis in the CL in recent years will never win it is madness. Milan Porto and chelsea are examples of smaller teams that have had huge amounts of luck on route to the trophy so look at history?
Can a team that cant beat QPR still win the CL of course, Real Mid table so no hope then for them. get real football has always been about expecting the unusual.
So to use the word NEVER well what can I say.

We have always tried to be reasonable to all fans including the visiting ones. I remember two semi finals at Highbury one with Sp*rs and Wolves in 1981 with a certain Rikki Villa scoring that night and also in 1992 I think we hosted the Liverpool Vs Pompey which was only three years after Hillsborough. A good time was had by all and here's a little memory jerker.

Well fellas,
you can see the logic behind the bitters performance, they saw Chelsea last year get absolutely battered in practically every game, ride their luck and fluke the result at the end, so you can forgive them for thinking they could do the same. Any other result but a real madrid win would have been an absolute travesty of justice. Look on the bright side blues, those two goals might be the difference between euro league football and nothing in such a tight group!
Oh and well done to that properly run outfit from the emirates, nice start fellas on the road to a Arsenal v Utd final at Wembley.

We got away with it in the 2nd half and possibly the draw might of been the right result. However this time last year Arsenal would of lost or drawn it so I see improvement. The Citeh game was crazy but thought Hart could of done a little bit better on two of the goals. Looking forward to Sunday now. Cheers Jay

You can blame Hart, but he was like a punch drunk boxer, I am no Lescott fan as you have probably gathered but he is miles better than those two new defenders that Mancini bought in desperation on transfer deadline day. He got rid of the useless Savic and brought in his more useless eastern european cousin, the more I see of the moneybags teams the more convinced I am that if we can hold off the challenge of rejuvenated Arsenal then the league is ours to lose and any cups are just an added bonus.

Have to agree we got away with it but then its about time we did we spent alot of last season battering teams and they got away with it time after time.
I see City having problems as they got battered and the final score only paints over the cracks. 2 years and not getting out of the group unthinkable. I support unlike others all our sides in Europe so comon City you need to sort this out and fast... maybe on Monday after Sunday would be good!!!!

Wouldn't want to play Juve after that performance. They played chelski off the park and apart from the Oscar strikes should of won it. Loved Terry's move forward to play the offside.... How funny!!
Dakey Utd more or LESS in control but with Johnny Evans at the death a definite penalty and Vidic at the start another one, so a little bit lucky in the end but we all need that don't we?

But im sure dakey will something bad in that result and say some crud comment that chelsea get all the refs desionons and forget to mention that chelsea should have had 2 stonewall pens ag qpr but are still top of the league, but have a lovefest with arsenal coz youve nicked their best player, tee hee

I don't usually read this forum as quite frankly it bores the sh** out of me!!
However I felt I had to comment, not on football but on the respect shown by Manchester United managment and team by the wearing of black armbands for our two murdered Police Officers in Manchester. Whatever I think of football or any particular team that small gesture in tonights match sends a fantastic message to those of us who are very close to what happened yesterday and quite frankly I'm touched........

I think when you look again you will find it was 2-2. So at the end of matchday one, both the properly run clubs are flying the flag and the moneybags shite have just carried on their recent league form into europe. As we all cheer on the british clubs in europe lets hope you have shown a bit of improvement next time around. Just thought I would add that Utd have just posted a record 17 seasons on the trot in the CL and Fergie has posted a record 100 wins. follow that gents!

That was a half time report guys. Its 6 hours behind the uk here and had to go bed at 4 am as thats way past my bedtime anyway-lol. Must say though that the 45 minutes i did watch were brilliant! Now thats what i call football! Watching us get battered in the 2nd half now!

You seem to have gone a bit quiet, let me sum it up for you so far..... when Everton caught us cold on opening day you were dishing out a bit of stick, well since then we have won four on the trot, the last two with clean sheets and have moved to top scorers in the league.(without moving out of first gear, by the way) During that four game spell you have won a paltry once drew two and lost one. Now I think I remember your comment at the time and I can pinch it off you and use it back..... it goes like " if we beat Liverpool this week we are away already" followed by " the simple fact is that you are not very good are you" well Dave, right back at you mate, right back at you!
