If you condone costa's antics and even worse Jose moronic's support of it then as I suspected all along you are not a football fan.
if we had a player like that at our club we'd be embarrassed especially if employing those actions was the only way you could actually win a game.

lets be fair. leg breaking tackles get 3 match ban. last ditch fouls gets 1 match ban. a little pushing and shoving gets a yellow at most . games gone soft. and yes i like most fans would always have costa in my side. but thats the managers choice. and its a good one imho.
the lad that nearly broke matics leg with an over the top tackle for burnley got a yeallow. matic got a red for retaliation,.sums the game up now which is why i usually only watch the odd highlights. rugby world cup is much better and a mans game. football is too soft now. bring back chopper and norman and billy.then it was fun. now its all staged for japanese tourists

The Football Association has released the following statement:
Arsenal’s claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Gabriel has been upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing.
The player’s three-match suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect.
Gabriel was dismissed for violent conduct during the game against Chelsea on Saturday [19 September 2015].
The book is gonna be thrown at Costa and with a bit of luck the spine of it will hit flush in the boat.

On another more serious note, I hear Dakey Lad bleating on about City buying in players, no youth players ever getting into 1st team and the usual blah blah blah you get with him.
George Evans plays tonight for City aged 20, he has been at City since he was 6 years old.. Case closed your honor and no further questions....

I was listening to local UK radio yesterday when a woman was interviewed regarding her 4 year old son being offered a place in Man City's most junior academy, to be totally honest a Man City spokes person admitted that as he was a 'big lad' they had taken him as being around 6 years of age.
Nevertheless this is probably what top European clubs do as a matter of course, David Beckham was only a kid when he firstly played in Spurs junior team. If Man City are taking team development this seriously then the other three big boys should look over their shoulders.

By the time these ridiculously young kids have reached the age where they will be ignored for the first team, The owners will have packed up or be in prison for financial impropriety and the club will be bankrupt in the lower divisions. On the other hand Utd have a glut of 19/20 year olds actually competing for places in our present 1st team set up where young promising players are given encouragment at the top level.
Now, I am not a lover of agents but Martials agent came out with a classic comment the other day about Wenger. when asked about Wengers long term monitoring of the player he said "some clubs follow players and some clubs buy players" That was brilliant and sums up perfectly the Arsenal managers dealings over a long period in the market.

gabriel given one match ban for improper conduct. not such an angel after all! pun intended ! but thats about right as he should have had 2 yellows . costas ban ridiculous. so now anyone who raises their hands -which happens all the time at corners can be retrospectively banned. or maybe not as their is clearly a grudge against costa from the fa as he has never been given a red card on the pitch for chelsea but given 2 reds retrospectively. leg breaking tackles like the one by barnes last year and are not punished make the fa look ridiculous but we all know that all football governing bodies are corrupt and we all hope that blatter goes down .

Costa walloped koselny two times and gauged Gabriel's neck. He then body slammed him and slapped gabriel on the chest before simulating a donkey kick against him. He's got away with all last year and he's been rumbled.

Wenger has been over here for so long that he's assimilated into the style of a British manager, true continental managers play the numbers game, eg; if Fred is injured Bill can do just as good a job and if Bill gets injured we've got Jack on the bench. The down side to this is that there will be some clinical performances, however they are likely to bore themselves to the title.
