Fellas,
The FA really are a spineless bunch of morons, apparantly if you dont agree with a referees decision you can now storm into his private changing area and threaten him with physical harm using abusive and insulting langauge and that little lot will net you a paltry 3 match ban and a token fine! It beggars belief, what must Mr Clattenberg be thinking? Mikel should have been told to sling his hook from our league along with half the other people at that cess pit of a club.

We would not expect a mega-numpty like you to even begin to grasp the seriousness of the FAs reckless act of cowardice. so let me try and enlighten you to the folly of such a soft sentence. A top professional footballer, who is upset about some decisions storms into the referees private changing area and threatens physical harm to that official in an abusive and aggressive manner. Now these people are role models to impressionable youngsters who then go out and copy such behaviour at their own junior level. Heaven forbid we may end up with a referee or one of his officials being attacked and seriously hurt or even worse by youngsters mimmicking their heros behaviour...... Whoops, too late, it has already happened this week in Holland where a linesman was beaten senseless by 3 youths in front of his son for daring to give a decision and unfortunately he later died of his injuries. Now I would think that even an ignoramous like yourself can begin to see the folly of soft sentences in such cases. Try and get a couple of brain cells to communicate with each other in future mate before posting.

No I wasnt there, but Mikel entered the referees room and as a result of what happened next he was charged with and get this; THREATENING AND/OR ABUSIVE AND/OR INSULTING WORDS AND/OR BEHAVIOUR! To which he pled guilty.
Now then and I am not an expert on such matters, but I have never ever seen such a charge sheet handed out to any other player in all my years watching football. It goes without saying and in a week when a football official has been kicked to death, a three game ban and a token fine would and does repulse most sensible people when three game bans are routinely handed out for things such as mistimed tackles etc. If you cannot concur with that view then it must be because you just like to argue with me as your stance has absolutely no merit whichever way you choose look at it.

As you so rightly point out the words in his charge!! There are a number of or/and which in my book could be that he used insulting words to the referee END OF!

Now lets just say that is what he actually did for a moment, due to all the and and ors in that charge he could have just used 1 of them and not all, now as you say YOU werent there so YOU cant say what he did can you???
The incident in the Netherlands has nothing to do with Chelsea or Mikel, it as an unfortunate circumstance beyond yours or mine or our FA's control so dont bring that into it pal.
The merit in my stance is based on evidence and facts put before the FA and not, as in your case, based on your opinion and supposition which does not stand up anywhere.
He pleaded guilty and the FA dealt with it after reviewing all the evidence!! Maybe you should look that word up sometime and engage with it before spouting off on here in your imitable sanctimonious, pompous all seeing eye, righteous way pal!!
No wonder theres only you and kev left on the football thread and neil once a week is it!!

I could be like you Chaddy I suppose and hop from thread to thread pissing everybody off with your aggressive confrontational style of posting, you seem to have that off to a fine art. For myself, I think I will just carry on as usual and try to make relevant points when I feel it is required and also engage in a bit of friendly banter when that is required. I have never been bothered by what gobshites think so I dont think I will start with you. Anyway I think we have done this one to death so we will just have to move on to the next one.

This thread is like a bug sometimes, You even said the other week that you were giving it a miss for a while, but something enticed you back in. As much as you talk nonsense most of the time, we would miss you if you stopped contributing. Thats me being nice over with!

Quite an interesting article and certainly one laced with interesting 'facts' The one fact he quoted that is well wide of the mark is the one about if RVP had stayed then Arsenal could be top and Utd 10th. For a so called professional journalist who is suppossed to research his work, that comment is just pure nonsense. I accept that the gunners would be much higher up the table with RVP on board but UTD have won 4 of the last 6 titles and lost the others by one point to Chelsea and goal difference to City with Rooney and Hernandez as the main strikers and backed up by others. I have said before, if we didnt have RVP then we would have someone else to do the job and just keep on rolling along. If he is your mate have a word because he made himself look a bit stupid with that one part of the article although it was crammed in between lots a sensible comment.

Berbatov was not my favourite player as I like players to put in a bit of effort for their extortianate wages. however, I include him as one of the others because that is what the great man consigned him to when he signed Chico. What I will say though is that in one of his seasons he finished joint top scorer and we won the league. As good as RVP is he has not yet attained the pinnacle of his goals helping his team to the title. hopefully that will be this year. My point being that the comment of Utd being down in 10th place comes against a backdrop of practically never being out of the top two over 20 years plus whatever the players Sir Alex had to work with. That was my only contentious point, although reading it again he did qualify it by saying his observations were not an exact science.

You are going soft mate, tipping us to score what is wrong with you? I dont know what defence he is going to pick because the ones he has been picking just have not shown up. The plus point going forward is that for the first time in years all our defenders are fit but unfortunately its come too soon for Vidic. We will just have to rely on scoring more than you, but I cant call the score, it could be anything but 0-0. One thing for certain is that we will be playing narrow and packing it in midfield as our natural two wide men are injured. Whatever, cant wait.
On the plus side, I was going to have to hide away in my room to watch it, but we have just been told the cranes are down due to gale force winds and it just happens that the next part of the job involves the cranes so I am already on my way to the main TV room to get my place at the big TV. Let battle begin!
