Jay,
You are on a bit of a rollercoaster mate. So far you have twice given us a perfect example of how to lose against inferior opposition and now a perfect example of how to beat a much better opponent and I dont mean by handballing the ball in the net. The tactics were spot on to just defend in depth and hit them with your fast players on the break. Funilly enough though although those tactics kept you in it, the introduction of the lumbering carthorse actually won you the game. At least you have given yourself a sniff though although you will probably have to get something in Munich which will not be easy now you have stung them. good luck.

Ummmm Fellani NOW THERE'S A LUMBERING CARTHORSE.
i'll have as much money as you want on Giroud scoring more goals than any one of your mob this season.
Giroud was outstanding last night when he came on and last seasons 20 odd goals from 1/2 a season playing time confirms  that he is quality.
if I didn't already know how inept your football knowledge and understanding was your last post once again confirmed it.
you really are very consistent keep it up.
good luck on the plastic!!

Hi Jay
A little off topic and showing my age, I had a good friend who played for Arsenal his name was Gerry Ward who played 81 times and scored 10 goals. He lived near me and often entertained his best mate Bill Dodgin who played 191 times for Arsenal, they both died of awful conditions, cancer and alzheimers respectively, god bless them.

Jay,
If you want to sit with the gooners you will obviously be in the Leppings Lane stand, if not you can't do better than the rear of the South Stand Lower Central.
Have a good day and a poor result mate. Â

Jay,
I do like Giroud as a player but I cannot resist throwing one in just to get a reaction and it has worked again (lol) I was actually thinking it was time to bring him on to mix it up a bit when the stubborn old frenchman actually did it.
Bit harsh on Fellaini there mate like Giroud he can be a handfull and is a different option.
We are halfway through now and although everyone is still in the hunt only the 2 manchester clubs are in qualification positions and we have played 2 of the 3 away games. Anything can happen though and it usually does.
Lets put the CL to bed now as it is time to smarten up the bitters on Sunday

Hep, finished work yesterday on the Scott platform and went to my room after tea. Had to decide if it was corrie or Sheff Weds and plumped for the footie. I enjoyed the game and you seem to have a bit of momentum towards the top. You never know mate, next year could be special for the owls and not before time.

dakey it helps having a billionaire owner, all that we used to do was to sell our best players and borrow millions from the bank. I've told you twice previously both Man Utd and SWFC are experiencing the very same thing, that being a continental manager. Both clubs will get better and better as their respective seasons continue, however we do have Arsenal next.

Well, I mentioned some time ago that we had a very difficult October and if we were within a few points of the top after it we would have a great chance. We have one game left away at palace (very difficult game) and are only 2 points adrift with the confidence of outplaying the bitters in the most one sided draw ever witnessed. Things are looking up down at the theatre..........which is more than I can say for Chelsea. What has happened to George? he must be suicidal after the treatment of the medical staff, the teams implosion and Joses maniacal rants, but to top it all I read last week and it is barely believable that one of Chelseas male coaches of the ladies set up had been arrested for the alleged rape of a 12 year old female academy player. If that is true George no wonder you appear to have deserted your team and morale at the club is at an all time low. There is no way back from that little lot mate.

The Manchester derby was entertaining to the neutral, far more than the previously played North East derby, irrespective of the scoreline.

wednesday are back, wednesday are back, whoa, whoa!!
Hep,
Arsenal were unlucky that good players got injured early on......but the wednesday performance was a real throwback to the good old times. Your players harried and ran and ran and ran then coupled it with a bit of quality to boot. Your club and fantastic support will be a welcome boost back in the PL and it is not if but when. Well done.

Cheers guys,
Arsenal had the lion's share of possession, but that is the way that we play, nipping away at the heels of the guys with the ball and then nicking it off them. I've actually started to believe in premiership football, however to be fair we would never have even heard of Carlos Carvlhal without him being recommended to our owner by Jose Mourinho who is also a good friend of CC..Â

Not wishing to split hairs, but other than the lower reaches of the premiership, when were ever Boro somewhere where they could aspire to get back to?  Â

Our shadow squad are gradually becoming more competitive in the Capitol One cup, that was a vast improvement on MK Dons last year. I suppose a bit of complacency crept in as well after completely dominating the Derby at the weekend. Once the chances were missed and it went to pens there was only one winner. We are crap in shootouts with one notable exception in the CL 2008.

These cup games are handy for the big team's kids to experience strutting their stuff against first team players. For the likes of us it gives us a chance to experience what is awaiting us if and when we manage to gain promotion to the premiership. It also goes without saying that a fourth tier side entertaining the likes of Man Utd is both a big ego trip for the home fans, not to mention a great pay day.
Everyone's a winner.

Well my old mate Neil Warnock is back in football as an advisor for QPR, life on his Cornwall farm must have taken a turn to the boring side, he can't be short of money and is not far off my age, I reckon that he misses the buz.Â
