Guys,
Let's not join the glass half-full brigade. Two new records that City got for us last night:
1. The lowest points tally ever by a British club in the CLÂ group stages;
2. The first English club unable to register a win in the group stages of the CL.
I wonder what the cost per point was?
All achieved against an under strength Dortmund side. Priceless.

If your aunty had balls .................. Why not change the historic rules to suit your argument/statistics - ycnmiu, and rich/expensive is relative to the time and in comparison to others at the time. SAF's first few years (with expensively assembled squad) were not exactly fruitful.
Why do i bother? it's like having a discussion with 12 year olds.

You will love this "Citeh are canvassing fans with a 15 minute survey to gauge their feeling about expanding the ground", why would a club that, A- Cant fill the ground now (even as League Champions) - B- Cant get out of a Champions League group two years on the run, want to extend their ground.
Dave- I will give you a wave Sunday, I will be one of the lads smiling come 3.30.

 Kev,
bit of a mispronounciation in your last post mate, it should have read " Lets not join the GROUND half full brigade"
Shampers,
When the great man joined it was mid season and he inherited a piss poor team from Ron Atkinson. You see Atkinson had just been sacked and even in them days we were not prone to knee jerk react and randomly sack managers so his initial team had to be shaped from scratch. Three years later it was all in place, the FA cup was won and contrary to your opinion, at not a lot of cost and since then it has been constant siverware. Whatever your opinion you keep harking back to money UTD have spent as if we were the immoral pre-curser to todays Chelsea and City. What you fail to grasp and even someone with the IQ of a 12 year old would understand is that back then as now no one has given us a penny peice the money spent was the money earned by the clubs commercial activities etc and is absolutely nothing like a rich man taking over a small club as a plaything and putting them at a level that the club itself could never hope to sustain on their own merits and that is it in a nutshell mate.
By the way, as Ged correctly says, it is embarrassing enough with all the empty seats at todays capacity why on earth would you extend the ground just for more empty seats? The only way the crowds would increase is if you allocated more tickets to away fans at reasonable prices, otherwise just forget the daft idea.Â

Have you been on "Are You Smarter Than A 12 Year Old" because I wouldn't bother - the answer is no!
Are you confident for Sunday - pressure is all on you. At home, out of form and a win will only draw you level. No pressure on us other than we're not playing well which is offset by the fact we're obviously doing better than anyone else at this stage being top of the pile.
Tell you what - I lived nearly 50 years not hearing a peep out of (or finding many) City fans but suddenley they know it all. You'll be 1 season wonders when it all blows up in your faces...

I would say that a crowd of 71,521 is quite a good turn out for a meaningless reserve game on a weds night, it knocks into a cocked hat the paltry 45,000 that the bitters got hosting Real Madrid, the greatest club team ever, a few weeks ago! for petes sake you could not even fill the ground for a fixture like that, you really are a pathetic little bunch.
We actually qualified as group winners with a 100% record. the fact that we did it with two games to spare and our reserves have lost those two games matters not a jot. Once the job is done all the clubs play understrength teams to rest the players. What I find amusing is one of those teams, Dortmund reserves, spanking the most expensive squad ever assembled as the mercenaries strive in vain for the consolation prize of Europa league football.... not very good at this Europe thing fellas are you.
Its official fellas Citys efforts this year in the CLÂ have eclipsed Blackburns in 1995 (they actually won a game) as the worst EVER CL showing by an English club. Congratulations!!
I am just arranging for some flowers to be sent round to Dave Roys house, he must have passed away as we have not heard a thing from him since the bitters went on the slide.

...and George has gone quiet too. At least his lot have the Europa league to go for.
Shampers - We may not win the CLÂ this year but we might and whatever chance we have it is greater than 0% which is what City have. In going further in the competition we will be able to develop our players through gaining experience and also acquire some financial assets based on our footballing performance rather than some rich sugar daddy who wants us as a play thing. Bottom line - you'll never win it if you can't get out the group stages. Perhaps you should just go out and buy one like everything else you do?

Chaddy,
I think you mean you hope we dont win it, we have as much chance as any of the others as you also need luck in cup football as Chelsea proved last year, winning it with a crap team. I think your or any City fans opinion on the subject of success in European football can be taken with a large dollop of salt.
It has also just occurred to me why you and Shampers are posting this week, it is on the off chance that you win on sunday so no one can accuse you of surfacing due to a good result. Nice move, pity you wont achieve the result you crave.
