Jay,
What can I say, best team on the day won, congrats - Watched the game in Campasol with a load of never been to Old Trafford Utd fans which makes it so much worse!
Dakey,
Hate to say it but your predictions look like coming true and you can have a big smile on your face while you nestle back into that armchair whilst you ponder on Scholes and Giggs playing with their walking sticks next season
However the future is Blue, City have thrown it away and utd were ready to pounce - we will come back stronger, yes we have money but football is about so much more. That said, keep filling your cars up boys and we can keep moving forward in great strides year on year - It is only a matter of time!!!

Tony,
I suppose that is one thing we have in common, dearer fuel gives you money to spend on players and keeps my job secure. Its like being in league with the devil! I am sure that when Citys new manager is in place and he ships out mancinis bottlers and spends 250 million on a new set of bottlers then you may eventually get your hands on the title..... not sure which care home I will be watching it in though as I spill my food down my bib. Giggsy and scholes will probably be still playing though.
Oh and by the way, apart from 50,000 locals and 20,000 plus from farer afield at the matches, everywhere you go in the world there will always be bars packed with Utd fans when they are on TV. That is what being the biggest club in the world is all about and something no amount of money can buy. that is something your owners will no doubt be pondering on as they try to find a way out of their doomed disastrous adventure!

While you are waitng for the great Leeds revival to materialise I suggest you read both the offside rule and the handball rule regarding the words "deliberate or intentional" and you might then understand why Machedas goal was quite correctly allowed to stand and why we Utd fans feel aggrieved that we have only won 5 out of 6 titles instead of 6.

Dakey Try and win it with dignity. Be very pleased for your team and be proud of the way they consistantly grind out the wins. Just back from weekend in London. Obviously feeling gutted with sense of throwing it away a bit. This season seems very long at the moment and just hope we quickly get a few more points to finish well. Do you think that your team will ever get so good that you may come on here and say "I went to the game today" Jay Well beaten yesterday mate. Thought rosicky was outstanding

Dave Sorry you're feeling gutted and am genuinely sympathetic with the city fans. I think your team/squad is more than equipped to have won it this year and but for two main reasons would have. Mancini's handling of Teves and his handling of Balotelli. I'm not sure how you feel mate but I would fear your team under Jose mourinho which is a real possibility by all accounts. As for Rosicky he's certainly back to his best form from before he's injury and the subsequent off field shananagans!! I thought he was a busted flush so am delighted he's back it's certainly softened the departure of Fabregas and nasri. I'm hopeful that with Jack back next year our midfield will be as good if not better than anyone's next year. Good set of results yesterday too who'd of thought it possible that the toon are as good a bet as chelski or the sp*rs for CL. Now that would be funny. Have a good week boys and girls Jay

Sat in the bar reflecting on the weekend reading all the comments and digesting that the war of words is now ending and reality has sunk in.
Enjoyed the 1 - 0 thumping we gave City the result was not a true reflecting of the game and we should have won far easier. Apart from the rangers result the run we have put together again shows the quality always comes in at the end. And just a mention on the loon that city have up front it is about time we kicked the likes of him out of footie he will end someone career one day and his total lack of discipline is beyond belief. The first tackle was a straight red let alone the others and the Ref should be shot for not seeing it. I agree if Fergie, Wenger or Harry had a player that behaved like that you would not see them play again for the club but City seem to have no pride and will play anyone regardless. Balaloonie and Teve have proved that. Being a big club also means behaving like one and City have not learnt that yet> I suppsoe it take time for children to grow up.
I even have some sympathy for Spurs fans as the really belived that this year was the breakthrough but again it looks likely that no CL footie again next year, coupled with no Harry and a hatfull of players leaving to play on the big CL stage. accept the facts lads Spurs are still in the second tier on English Footie.

Congrates mate your team have shown that the prem is long hall and the consistency over a season has come to the top in the end while City have done as predicted and faultered when the going gets tough. It is always nice to see when the team who lives within their means beats the money bags. The fat lady may not be singing yet but she has already written the concert IT IS OVER and I would like the City boys to the man up and admit defeat.
Jay
Also looking forward to next season now I feel that Qualification should not be a problem now and with a few new player and the others staying fit we again might be able to mount a challenge.
Good luck to Chelski in the CL I think that it is to big an asked but lets hope and with a run of Barca - Arsenal -Barca - Spurs its going to be some ask.
Look forward to seeing you all in the bar over the next few months and of those I have not meet make sure you introduce yourselves.

You guys are finding form at the right time...and even as a spurs supporter I always like the arsenal style (although did enjoy your early season style as well but for different reasons!!).
We are still in the mix for CL spot and we would have taken our current position without hesitation if offered at the beginning of the season...and I don't think any of City, Arsenal, Chelsea, or Liverpool could say the same.
Still got the FA cup to aim for so season could end up being a great one...or maybe a real dissapointment. Never a dull moment with Spurs!!

Having just had a couple of conversations with my brother and a very good friend of mine both of whom are ardent Sp*rs fans I for one hope that you do get something out of this season. They are both crest fallen at your current form and you can't blame them. How is Harry going to pick them up for Sunday night?? He's really going to have to prove his worth and the players will need to show some heart and ars*hole but I beleive you can do it but Harry will have to motivate them big time.
The football that you have played up until Arsenal game was very good and it would be a shame if you did not get something from it. My feelings are clear on this as you know and I'd much rather see you in the CL than Chelski despite our fierce rivalry. Good luck on Sunday mate.

The thing is CL qualification is only going to get harder...can't see Roman not spending some cash whether or not he qualififes this year. City will also get stronger if they kick out some of the troublemakers.
I think we are due for some good fortune...decision for us or in off the crossbar etc. Really believe we can take on Chelsea which might kick start us into a winning run for the last 5 premier games. Well thats what I'm hoping.

Shane,
Interesting debate on sky yesterday regarding the bitters, the upshot is that they are stuck with players like Adebayour, Bridge, Tevez, Balotelli and even Santa Cruz, Yes Santa Cruz is still a City player! They are all on mega contracts, have all proved to be not good enough and no one will pay the transfer fees or wages City are asking. With the fair play rules kicking in and the fed up owners staing that Mancini must move on these players to buy new ones, I dont agree that they will automatically get stronger. They could well be in for a tricky period of rebuilding under new management and as we have seen unlimited money is no guarantee of success. Good luck anyway mate, The more that responsibly run teams beat the Chelseas and Citys of this world the better most of us like it.

I think Adebayor is on about £170k at City but needs to halve that to come to Spurs. And I doubt we'd meet their valuation anyway...unless there is a firesale of sorts.
I think as a team they would get stronger without tevez and balotelli. No question they are talented but Citys squad isn't actually short of talent. I don't care what they say in public those guys have to have caused rifts in the team. While some players welcomed Tevez back others must have been p*ssed off at how he acted and was brought back. And Balotelli is a nightmare for a top team as he can lose you games with his attitude.
Maybe some other teams will be looking to get players off their books as well...might be a few deals to be done this summer. And hopefully we still have the man to do them.

What is it with the FA
Chelsea play the biggest game in europe for any english club this season against barca and ask for a date change
The fa  say piss off play your fa cup semi final  sunday night at 6pm the closest  we can make to the barca game
Liverpool and everton play saturday-why- the fa new way before deciding that date that chelsea had a great chanceof making the semis!
Chelsea want friday, no chance say the fa- play sunday.Â
Barca ask for a date switch and La  Liga say play when you want what time you want.
You wonder why people hate the FA.
Btw good game tonight on la sexta atheltico v real (gap down to 4 points from 10 with  a game at the nou camp for real to come)

I agree they may have switched the sat and sun games around but that was opposed by Liverpool
FA should have worked this out way ahead of this ever happening. Was it that remote that a team in the FA semi finals may also be in the CL semis?
But from a Spurs supporters viewpoint I don't see why we should lose two days preparation at a late stage when we have no midweek game next week.
Yes its a huge game for Chelsea but many other teams who play in the Europa league get handed worse fixtures than that. Not as big games but just as important for them.

Fellas,
Sometimes in football you must not look for excuses and just say that you were beaten on the night by the better team and this is one of those occasions... well done to Wigan, who are playing as well as anyone at this moment. If it were not for two diabolical decisions at stamford bridge they would be now be on the back of beating both Chelsea and Utd in successive games and it doesnt get better than that in English football. Even Arsenal, who like Utd are on a great run were suprisingly beaten by QPR, so it happens from time to time.
One little gripe I have is with Fergie, he rotated a couple of players "to freshen up" as he says.... What is he resting players for with six games left? We are not in anything else, most of the players have not been overplayed due to injury, they are all as fresh as daisys! a word of advice to the great one, PICKÂ ANDÂ PLAYÂ YOURÂ BESTÂ TEAM! for the last 5 games and stop pissing about with selection. Other than that, for all you bitters getting hopefull, the usual reaction from Utd to the odd defeat will see us over the line, in fact the little 5 match mini league to the end of the season will see us collect more points than you so crawl back in your hidey holes fellas, its not going to happen!
