Neil,
sorry mate, 3rd in the league and the LOSERS Cup might well be a good year for Chelsea and a bloody marvellous year for you gunners if you managed it, but for us at the theatre that would be an absolute disaster!

George,
That is only because you had to play about 40 extra games in the LOSERS Cup to try and salvage your season. In the big boys league you never got close to our goals scored and as far as beating us, well, we used to beat Liverpool regularly when they were top dogs but that didn't mean we were anywhere near the standard they were setting at the time..... a bit like Utd and Chelsea now.
The closing fact is that we won the league at a cantor and the players pushing for a first team spot (not the kids) won the U21 league and that my friend just perpetuates our domination over the easy money teams who couldn't even deal with Swansea or Wigan on the domestic scene. Lets hope that Arsenal and Spurs can mount a challenge next year as otherwise it will be boring just sorting out you and the bitters again.Â

Just enjoyed watching Utd beat Chelsea in the Champions League final in a rerun on Sky. Doesn't fail to make me chuckle even now years later. Some things never change and Chelsea being the champions of losers certainly hasn't! I never tire of seeing Mr Chelsea miss that pen. LOL.

Chaddy,
If you are referring to my 'intellectual equal' Kev, then I don't understand why you don't find his posts interesting, informative and truthful...... just like mine!

Having lived in the woolwich area for nearly 12 years and just hearing the news that the young lad who lost his life yesterday was a staunch man utd fan I would be sure you'd all join me in sending our thoughts to his family and his little 2 year old boy who won't be seeing his dad again. We all say a lot of words to each other in the banter and rivalry but for me right now I'm struggling to understand or find words for what's happening in our town right now. Jay

Well said Jay. An avoidable tragedy which is hard to believe. One only hopes justice is served in the harshest of ways but it will never bring that young man back. Can I also say a word for Brian Greenhoff who passed away suddenly yesterday. Brian was an under rated player who served United well during the 70s. I spent many happy hours watching him from the Stretford End. A sad loss at a relatively early age.

Everyone is in a state of disbelief here in Middleton. I don't think anyone could have got there quick enough to save him it happened so fast, but in the 20 minutes it took to get armed police there did not anyone think to phone the army barracks where he had just walked out of? Armed soldiers could have been there in 5 minutes. still probably too late but a more swift viable option in this case surely.

I can see what your saying but rules of engagment in UK would have meant even if troops got there in time they couldnt have opened up, Another wasteful loss of fine military personel.
Chaddy you are right mate this country of ours is going MAD.

So,
Its happened again! some mug team from Italy has employed the hapless fat Rafa after his little bit of kidology managed to dupe people that his spell at Chelsea was a success. unbelievable! He took over arguably the most talented squad in the league who were bang in contention for the title never mind a poxy 3rd place and then proceeded to manage them to a massive points deficit in the league. On top of that they were unceremoniously dumped out of every single other competition they were involved in and then managed to sneak the LOSERS cup without a good top side anywhere in sight, beating the likes of Basle in the Semis! How he can claim success for that is beyond the pale! He must be counting his vast amounts of money every day laughing his B.........ks off at the rest of us. no doubt in a couple of years time he will be claiming success at Napoli for keeping them from relegation.
Next year will be more difficult with a proper manager in charge again at the Bridge so we need to be up and ready for that..... The same cannot be said for the Emptihad though as the hapless Mancini has been replaced by an absolute nobody with no experience of English football. Cant see that lot finishing in the top half for the life of me, they might scrape a couple of draws against Palace but that about it.
Enjoy your balmy summers lads and looking forward to next year already.

Over the moon that Crystal Palace are back in the Premiership after 8 years! I'm surprised Hubby had a voice left when I picked him up last night! My kids were worse though having watched it at the Pawsons Arms near the palace ground. I had to listen to it on the radio, couldn't face watching it! I'm so pleased for Kevin Phillips, although it must have been bitter-sweet for him as he started his career at Watford. Really looking forward to all the games in the premiership next season, although might be a bit difficult as my youngest daughter's boyfriend who lives with us supports Arsenal!

Chaddy,
I think if we trawl back you will find that you actually hold the world record for vitriolic posts and not just on this thread either. we all tend to excuse the behaviour though due to the fact that it is not your fault geographically that you live in Chadderton, it is the fault of your parents for not giving you the chance of a decent education where you could have learnt good manners and communication skills etc. Never mind though, it is what it is and we put up with you nonetheless.

Hey George,
Rafa should be grateful Chelsea gave him the job as interim manager, he has actually now left with a statement of gratitude from the club..... If he had been appointed as full time manager they would be sacking him round about now anyway!!
