Anyway, good CL this season with the best two teams in the world meeting in the final  . Whatever happens I'm sure it'll be a cracker played in the right spirit. And then there's the FA Cup final which has been devalued by two lesser teams making it to Wembley  . I'll be amazed if they can fill the ground although I know Stoke have good travelling support. I guess its nice to see the smaller clubs getting their few moments in the limelight

I will make this real easy for you, your club might have a squad with no defined best eleven, because most of them are shite and you couldnt get a fag paper between the ability of them all. Now then, we have got season defining games coming up and in our best team that Fergie will play in both the big games against Barca and Chelsea you will almost certainly have, Fabio, Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra across the back, none started last night. In the middle, Carrick, giggs and probably Park or Fletcher will start, None of them started last night, Up front it will be Rooney and Chico, neither started last night. Whoops, I got my sums wrong, it was nine reserves not seven. So stick that up your Juan Gamper! Bloody Hell Dave dont tell Jay about the JG Trophy, next thing you know the Gunners will be entering it as well as the Emirates Cup.

I cant get into sensible debate with you yet as I have forgoten who you support, give us a clue, but just to set you straight we are very much talking about the treble as we mullered Chelsea in the Community Shield and if Gerard Houlier can count it as one of his five trophies in 18 months at Liverpool then so can we. Its funny isnt it When you win it it is a trophy, when you lose it is a pre season friendly. It is the quadruple that we have gone quiet about, just like Jay. The treble is very much alive and kicking!
Finally after thinking there was only me and Kev interested in this thread, we seem to have everyone back and firing with a mixture of humour and dubious facts to suit ones particular argument, I think its brilliant, so keep it coming.

you are forgetting our player (and steal) of the season, 26 million pound Dzecko.... whoops, I mean 6 million pound Chico, so that is 3 players, but apart from a third of our outfield players then yes you beat our best team. I would like to pose a question, just like the famous 5-1 game in your favour and jays recent 1-0 success, who apart from partizan fans like yourselves will remember these one off high points if the trophy cabinet is still bare? Never mind, hows this for a scenario Man City´-v- Arsenal to decide the overall champion between the Emirates cup and the Juan Gamper trophy you know, on a european super cup or world club championship kind of format. What do you think? could it catch on.
Kev, Sheffield Wednesday for Chaddyowl. Its obvious isnt it, I will have to brush up on my lower league knowledge so I can engage with him in a bit of friendly banter, however, that would explain why he has not contributed for a while, what on earth would he have to say? I suppose we will have to persevere with the fact that he enjoys having a pop at a successful club, it must fill a hole in his life when his team must be a source of tremendous frustration to him. Lets show him how gracious we can be and make him feel welcome.

probably as in most derbies you were sat there with your head in your hands praying so I can see why you did not see Chico come on in the 65th minute for Valencia. I can just about believe that someone from the Manchester area might support the bitters, through things like parent pressure, you know the thing " support City son and I wont strap you with my belt and I might even give you some pocket money out of my dole". But someone from Chadderton supporting Sheffield Wednesday? are you going daft in your old age, why do that when there is a perfectly acceptable team of losers right on his doorstep!

We're still the last team outside the top flight to win one of the cups

All I said dave was our three best players were out, Rooney unjustly banned and Giggs and Chico Rested. look on the bright side mate Fergie must respect you he only left out three, in a CL Semi it was eight.

Just sobered up fellas, For worst on the eye Utd team ever, read one of the best Utd TEAMS ever. This team must be given the credit for what they have achieved, to beat a team like Chelsea 3 times in a month takes some doing. Bring on the Spaniards.

people are making silly comments about Mr Webb and on the face of it 11 wins out of 11 at O/T under his tutilage sounds a bit fishy, but if we hadnt been so good at the other end on Sunday I would be on here yet again berating him over two cotroversial decisions that went Chelseas way again. The first was the stonewall penalty by Frank Lampard. The general rule of thumb on blocking crosses or shots with your arm is if your arm is by your side its not given, if your arm is unnaturally high above your head, like Lampard, then its handball. So he got that one wrong. Then he did not second yellow Ivanovic for a deliberate body check, again wrong and both decisions could have proved costly as in previous games against Chelsea. Fortunately there is a football God and we were able to overcome these travesties on this occasion, but it doesnt mean you have stopped being favoured by the officials it is that this time it didnt matter!

Welcome to the Champions League City. I think you've got a rude awakening unless you get rid of your manager and buy a few decent players with all that cash you're throwing around. I've just (half) watched the biggest load of crap I've seen on TV since the last episode of Countryfile. Spurs played you off the park and if they could shoot you'd have been thrashed. Two attempts on target and one of those was Crouch's own goal ! The highlight was Dzeco's shot that went higher than it did go forward (lol). What are they playing at ? Even the City fans looked like they couldn't understand what was going on. Now I know why they have the celebration where they turn their back and don't watch the game - if that was put in front of me I wouldn't want to see it either !
Can't wait to see you go out in the qualifiers.
