Onecall,
Everyone respects the job DM has done on very limited funds in a football world where money is almost God. However everyone respected the job RVP did at Arsenal, but just like DM he had nothing to show for it. RVP has proved as DM will also find that if you want silverware to augment an already impressive CV then there really is only one place in England that can almost guarantee that will happen.
Welcome aboard David, you and we will not regret it.

He won't regret it but will you??? NEVER WON NOTHING is not haven't won anything recently. Don't get me wrong I like Moyes and think he's done a great job on limited resources at a proper club like Everton however no real experience in Europe is massive question mark and 6 year contracts will only be honoured if both parties are mutually happy with results. Your era of success will make it very very hard for you to accept lesser achievements and I speak with authority on that front unfortunately. Sir red chops is in the background and will probably be working DM like a ventriloquist dummy anyways!! Jay

Jay,
Football does not stop at the foot of the premier league. As part of DMs early career he won promotion and championships at the lower level that he started at, that is why he got the chance at Everton and that is why in 1998 Fergie asked him to be his number two. The fact that he turned that down and forged his own way is credit to him. Look, no one knows what will happen, but I will be willing to wager over the six year piece (not 9 years like Wenger at the second biggest club in the league) he will deliver more than his fair share of success. However only the passage of time will tell us not the opinion of any of us on here.

I'd just like to wish Dave Whelan and Wigan all the best for tomorrow. Not just because they are a team who can be proud of what they are achieving and the way they are doing it (unlike their opposition) but also because he deserves it when you know his story. Good luck guys - massive underdogs but with most of the nation behind you!

LOL. Best team by a mile won the cup. There is justice although hard won when Andre Mariners on the pitch. As I said in my earlier post, most of the nation will be overjoyed tonight. What a weekend for City fans - losing the cup final despite being overwhelming favourites on Saturday, sitting back and watching the PL go home to its rightful owners on Sunday! Loooooovvvviiiinnnnggggg it! Final comment - shocking to see empty seats at the FA Cup Final. What is going on as that isn't right?
Ccme on Wigan - deserve to win your last two games and stay up for making us all chuckle so much this afternoon. This message was last edited by kev1 on 11/05/2013.

Kev,
Just sobering up now ready for the great mans swansong today. I said weeks ago that it was the FAs nightmare final as they would have to give hotel rooms meals drinks etc to get anywhere near a full house and they obviously didn't. I have watched over 50 finals now and I have never ever seen an empty seat at an FA Cup final... till that sorry sad bunch turned up yesterday. Surely any lingering claim to be a big club has disappeared over the horizon forever. Mancini didn't even have the grace to admit the better team won! classless.
A lot of people will be blowing work in wigan today, I hear that people have left their works vans in the pub carparks and got taxis home. (signs were up in the van back windows stating "no pies are left in this vehicle overnight" )
It is incredible that Wigan beat City 1-0.......it should have been 4!!!!!

Nice one Wigan,  deserved that.  Hope you play as well on tuesday as you can still stay up now after we did you a hige favour.
Nice one chelsea- nailed down 3rd with a great result at villa park, that should ensure the special one returns and a few tasty players to add . Roll on wednesday. Lets see the season finish on a high.
Now the 2 mobs from n london can  fight it out between them for the last spot. Â
Had to laugh at red noses prog notes before the chelsea game when he said he hadno intention of retiring. I think the thought of losing again to us next season was too much for the old git.lol

George,
The fact that the top teams in England are Utd, Swansea and Wigan made the great man think it is not worth continuing as there is no credible opposition from the so called top teams.

Fellas,
What a fantastic occasion and a winner from Ferdinand our 20th goalscorer in our 20th title win. TWENTYÂ different scorers in the squad, now that is a proper team effort and just when we thought it doesn't get better, Mancini is binned and the bitters are confined back to the dustbin of English football. A new manager for them will mean another 500 million in players, but wait a minute FFP rules wont let them do that again, oh well, it was a nice little adventure while it lasted.

No Kev,
I don't think they do get any better! Now, all together now.... Mancini oh oh oh oh oh, Mancini oh oh oh oh oh, We won our trophy back, now hes got the sack, Mancini oh oh oh oh oh!
Remember last year Kev, when we both came on and congratulated the bitters even though it hurt like mad. What do we get now from them? Deafening silence!!! No silverware, No Manager, Next to no fans and no CLASS!! Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I still can't believe there were empty seats at Wembley. It's not like they've been there very often of late. Obviously not enough of them to fill half a decent stadium. The fact they're getting rid of Mancini is incredible. Much as I hate the guy stability over the summer would make them a bigger threat. They are just a bunch of moody losers unlike our guys - did you see the joy and team spirit oozing out on Sunday? That's what sets us apart. This message was last edited by kev1 on 13/05/2013.
