I am confused this morning and I dont know if anyone can help me. FFP is kicking in gradually but that doesnt seem to be bothering the bitters. They have or are going to splash out over £100 million for the likes of Jesus! Fernandino, Jovetic and Negrado and that is where the main confusion lies.....Who the hell are those players?? I thought I was a bit knowledgable about football but honestly I have never heard of any of them. Do they, like the manager come from small foreign provincial teams with no history of winning anything? The football world has gone mad in a midst of unearned income!!

That's your problem Dakey you are completely ignorant of any other players apart from the melts the play for your mob. That's why you're a Man U fan and not a football fan.
I'm not defending Citeh's transfer policy or their crude spending methods but at least I know of the players they have bought and predict they will have a decent impact on their side...unfotunately.

Thats not a difficult prediction, any half decent player would improve on a couple of defeats to pub teams in South Africa following a barren season in the PL. Pray tell me, of the four players I mentioned who did City have to fight off to secure their services? In case you are struggling with that I will tell you..... NOBODY!! thats right, no other teams were in for any of them and that should tell you everything you need to know about how good they are.

I agree with that sentiment, but wheras Utd and Arsenal with your new found wealth and even Chelsea to a certain extent will keep their powder dry until actual class becomes available, the bitters on the other hand still throw money around like confetti on at best average players and they just dont seem to learn any lessons. Because of that I just cannot contain myself from having a go at them, something like you do with Chelsea actually.

That is exactly what I am banging on about, I get up this morning to hear Jovetic saying how City will win the league and how he chose City as they wanted him more........ I have trawled every news outlet going back ages and I just cannot find anyone who has remoteley expressed an interest in him let alone put in a concrete bid. So the question is, Who the hell has he chose City instead of?
Please someone give us all a clue!

Dakey You don't get the same papers up there do ya. The player you speak of is the one player that had interest from another club. That club supposedly being Arsenal but as far as I know Arsene made enquiries but no actual bids. I hear that higuain had agreed personal terms and Real Madrid agreed a deal at 23 million but then went back on their word and tried to false the money up. Arsenal were disgusted with that and knew of their interest in Suarez and put bids in Liverpool to force the value up in retaliation. Real Madrid don't do business in the right way. Talking of personal terms being agreed Wayne is off to chelski apparently Coleen has agreed personal terms with John Terry and its game on!!!! I'm literally here all week ;) Jay

Arsenal made no bid and it is doubtful they made an enquiry, what happened was Fiorentina bandied about that certain clubs were interested without a shred of truth just hoping to up his value from £2 million to £5million and as soon as the bitters heard that reputable top clubs were interested their money machine kicks in to overdrive and automatically fires out a £25 million offer to the club and a salary of £200K per week for 5 years to the player. It is an automated system and just kicks in whatever.

In modern football the manager identifies his targets and the financial people do the deals, it is quite simple really the football man concentrates on football.
Unlike your system that I touched on in my previous post. Being a small club that suddenly has loads of money and nobody has a clue what to do, so it was decided that you would monitor the enquiries of the properly run big clubs like Utd, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool and once the legwork had been done by those clubs you would jump in and offer 25mill & 200 grand a week to the player. Unfortunately everyone has cottened on so little foreign clubs are putting it about that big clubs have bid for certain players and bingo in go City and mop them all up. The result is a squad full of championship standard players on top dollar contracts. It is quite a funny situation and everyone who is not a bitter is splitting their sides laughing.

I really don't think Cesc is heading to Man U. They should stop wasting their time and get someone more suitable like huddlestone if you act quick you could nick from under the Geordies noses!!

I have my doubts as well, not on if he is coming or not but if he cannot command a regular place at Barca then why would he expect a regular place at O/T? the same applies to Huddlestone or anyone really. Try and get regular football where you are before thinking about moving to the biggest club in the World.

Fabregas is too good for utd and the way things are shaping up currently I'm going to predict a top four that does not include utd. Ageing squad minus Rooney, over reliant on a Dutch injury prone deviant and no Fergie spells it out clearly. The bookies have chelski and citeh favourites and unfortunately I concur Jay

That was your opinion last year and that went according to plan didnt it!! not. I will make a sensible prediction, everyone of you ABUs will predict the downfall of Utd just the same as every year and the reality 9 times out of 10 will be something quite the opposite. I can just see your comments come Xmas time along the lines of......"worse Man U team in living memory" "You are top but I dont know how" " Team full of Average players" " your only winning it because everyone else is gifting it to you".......blah de blah de blah. Does that sound familier mate?

The best team ever a few years ago I grant you but great teams do not get smashed by 7 in the CL semis mate and now they are only very good. Look at it logically, Fabregas was only a stand in player for them since his move there and they have strengthened their midfield by 2 extra players for this season. Now he has to ask himself do I want to stay here where admittedly he is happy with the lifestyle and only play now and again or does he move to another of the Worlds giant teams and play regular (provided he produces the goods) Some would stay put and some others still with ambition would make the move, so it could still go either way. No matter what his decision we will just carry on identifying class players and try to sign them unlike your system that routinely signs up any johny come lately just as soon as they learn how to tie their bootlaces.
