I am really looking forward to seeing how De Bruyne pans out at the enlarged even emptierhad. Jose said the boy was a nightmare at the bridge, he refused to train properly and blamed it on not being motivated to train unless he was picked EVERY game. When he couldnt get his own way he was banging on the door every day asking to leave. A club like Chelsea giving him a break at 19 you would be forgiven if you thought he would bust a gut to get in the team. He actually has the look of a spoilt brat. Has he been promised a game every week?? should be fun watching this nonsense unfold.

Well done to palace and good luck in the top of the table clash.Only small joy for me is I know  a few ex players and wish them all the success. AS for JOSE he has lost the plot as even i can work out how to beat chelsea with the worst RB in the league and no cover. Not exactly rocket science. Jose has only himself to blame as he picks the team and should man up.Anyway at least we have got games out of the way against 3 of the top 4 sides and easier targets in sight.At least my 50 e looks safe again with Wooney underperforming and van gaal unable to attract any decent players.Â

As I said to Jay, we are above you mate however you want to dress it up. If you had said we would be above Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs after 4 games I would have took it like a shot. The downside for us is that last year we had the best record against the top sides but dropped silly points to lower clubs and we have just dropped 5 points to the same sort of clubs. Looks like we have not learned the lessons. I hope I am wrong.

Well thats it then City have finally nailed down their man for nearly 60 million quid. It was a close call, they had to fight tooth and nail against all those other top clubs to eventually clinch the deal..........wait a minute, no one else was interested, not one other club, what does that tell you?

It would appear from reading Guillam Balaguey today that LVG vetoed the new deal that De Gea was offered last year as he preferred Navas. He has dug his heels in and held out for a record fee for a player with 10 months left on his contract and insisted that Navas comes as part of the deal. Not many play hard ball and take Madrid to the wire, top management there in my opinion. Also £55 million for a spoilt brat at the Emptierhad and we snatch the new Ronaldo from under Arsenals noses for a snip at £35 million. The best deal of the window however was 'stealing' £7 million off West Brom for Evans. Dynamo would have struggled to pull that one off!

Typical Real Madrid, thinking they could get De gea on the cheap and when they realised that we would let him rot if the deal did not suit us they did not leave enough time for the paperwork. They will get him cheap but not now. What a farce of a club the Spaniards are, reminds me a bit of City actually.

There are some reassuring noises coming out of Manchester United about Monaco striker Anthony Martial not being a panic buy but rather Louis van Gaal having been monitoring him for some time.
If true, it seems no-one bothered to ask captain Wayne Rooney his opinion on his potential strike-partner.
Footage has emerged of United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin speaking to French television on Monday about Rooney's reaction to speculation linking Martial to United.
"To be honest, yesterday on the plane, Wayne Rooney came to speak to me and asked me who Martial was, because the English press had started to speak," said Schneiderlin.
"I told him he’s a shit player with no potential, who has played some poor matches with Monaco last season and the beginning of this."Â
