Well done Chelsea.
I just couldn't believe it when I watched Terry march up and knee the guy from behind...and I heard his defence on sky and it sounded pretty pathetic.
I said a while back wouldn't it be ironic if Chelsea having their worst premier season in some time managed to win the trophy they couldn't when they were at their prime. The irony might be that they do it and snatch the 4th CL spot!! If that happens I can only hope Newcastle are in 4th!!

If chelsea win the cl then the 4th place spot doesnt qalify as uefa have insisted we only get a max 4 spots after liverpool wangled an extra spot a few years back so i dont think many newcastle fans will be supporting chelsea in the final!
Anyone watch the athletico bilbao semi final tonight.Wow what a game and the spanish have finally got a dream final even though its the europa league with bilbao facing ath madrid .
Its a shame the english clubs let us down badly in this competition as you could see what it meant to the bilbao players,Personally after their complete mauling of man u i hope they go on to win it.

I agree with you there, for whatever reason Bilbao gave us a footballing lesson over two legs and I would like to see them win it. I do think you are a bit presumptous naming Newcastle as being the team likely to lose out with a Chelsea win. They are the form team and have as much chance of third place as the gunners and I think Jay, Neil and their mates might well be bricking it as well. Anyway, cant be thinking about cups and minor places down the pecking order with our own titanic game just around the corner. I am hoping for a classic but I will be amazed if the players on both sides produce one under all that pressure with so much at stake. My knees are trembling never mind the players.

newcastle have to go to wigan, chelsea and everton and play citeh at home. arsenal are guaranteed third as they have the easier run in.

There's no guarantees in football as we all know. Apart from John Terry is a guaranteed twat! We have a tough game at Stoke where history tells us it's not our favourite place. Then there's Norrrich at home and they are no pushovers either so we'll see. Looking forward to monday evening and also interested at what happens down the hole with blackburn. Cheers Jay

I read Fabio has been saying how much he loves London and wants to stay there...subtle way of putting his name forward for the Chelsea job.
With only a few games to go it really only takes one slip up in the race for the 4th spot...Arsenal have 3rd in the bag considering their form of late and the games they have. But as Jay said there are no guarantees. Imagine if Newcastle knicked 3rd and Chelsea finished 6th but won the CL!!
Personally I'm just hoping we can start scoring some goals again.

I read they had a frank discussion about his recent form...very unlikely they'll be looking at him for a permanent move. So then we'll have Defoe...and Saha if his contract is extended. We have to splash some cash this year up front and at the back.
Maybe old Pep might like a new challenge...in his 5 years (?) at Barca and at the age of 41 he's basically won everything you can, so he might like to try and take a struggling Spurs side and work his magic!! I can only live in hope.

Guardiola will take a 1 year sabatical and then review his options.
He has been offered a boat load of cash to take the chelsea job but my sources tell me he will turn it down.

I see wenger has said he isnt interested in the barca job, mind you i shouldnt think the catalans would be keen on him coming and going 7 odd years without a trophy! wenger please stay at arsenal and give them another 7 trophyless years please.

Not biting on that one boys and to be fair chelski and utd's chances of winning something season are remote let's be honest. If Arsenal manage to come third this season way ahead of chelski after all the millions and millions of reubles that they have spent and after treating August & September as our period of pre season training then infact Arsene should be manager of the year. An amazing achievement when you think about how poorly we handled the transfers of the chinless twat and cesc. We have never had so many players shipped in/out in one go in our history. So with so many new players at Arsenal I'll happily take third for this year if that's how it pans out. Next year will be a different story and I hope the undertaker is given the job at chelski because it wasn't long ago he was sacked by the baggies and that about sums it up. Looking forward to Monday night Dakey..... I think not!! Jay ;)

Could be a nervous 90 minutes on monday for both sides, but yes sir I am looking forward to it immensely! That is what it is all about, big big games that decide something. We have lost some of them on occasion, but have won far more than we have lost and games like this although nail biting are much preferable to games scratching for a qualifying place in europe, not that I know about those sort of games. You are old enough Jay, I am sure, to remember the feeling.

All in all we gave you all a two month head start even helped utd out with their goal difference (probably to no avail) and left chelski in our wake. If you end up with nothing which is more than feasible then you will have spent all that money for what?? Not even Champions League football. Utd's recent league collapse has been hilarious and only eclipsed by the spuds. Me thinks Citeh will be licking their lips and as I predicted months ago I've gotta a really strong feeling that a certain señor who's managed to reduce his golf handicap will be also reducing the utd fans to tears. I'm not happy that the bigger/better version of chelski could well win the league but I will laugh at the way utd would have gifted it to them. Jay
