Well I'm a City fan, and agree that Ballotelli should have been sent off, Lescott also lucky to escape any punishment.Ballotelli will now have to serve the punishment that is dished out to him, I also think he should be fined by the club, as he has let them and the City fans down!
The good news is that Kompany is soon back, after a great injustice (regadless of what United fans think) and with him and other 'world class' players we have, we are more than capable of facing the forth coming challenges. Unied fans be afraid, be very afraid.
Talking World Class players, can anyone explain why the best defender (Richards), currently in the country is not on Capello's radar! Oh, I know why...another crazy Italian!

Well then who is next - mmmmmm Liverpool and then a well earned weekend off due to some good refereeing decisions, might be just what we need for our next run of games and give us that edge on the rest still involved in FA cup action

I have to agree with the anonymous City fan about Richards, he is by far the best full back in the league and I dont say that often about City players. Cappello must have a downer on him for some reason he is not telling us about but he is biting his nose off to spite his face if he doesnt select him. As for being afraid, dont make me laugh, we have had over 20 injuries this year, most of them longer term and we have beaten Arsenal and City twice, Chelsea and Spurs once and drew at Anfield! as our players come back I cant see much to bother us. City have had no significant injuries and all we hear is bleating about losing Toure to the African cup and one ban for Kompany, fully justified for a two footed tackle and we are only three points behind you. I think it is you blues who should be afraid dont you?
Last word on the nutter, If City get off with a 4 match ban for Balotelli, nothing at all for Lescott to go with the 3 nicked points, then I would go on my knees if I was a blue and thank the Lord, because believe me guys you have got a result there!

I really must comment on the developments in the lunatics' case today. First, Mancini, like the spineless moron he is, wheeled out David Platt to face the media and I prepared myself that like Tony on here, he would twist and turn and squirm in an attempt to smokescreen and justify the act of lunacy that everyone had witnessed........ That was when David Platt moved up a couple of notches in my view as he did none of the above. He stated that he had viewed the footage a couple of times and that "it did not look good" that is management diplomacy for "guilty as sin" and he should be applauded for saying it. He also ruled out an appeal as he did not want the club to be hit with a frivolous appeal extra match ban. Again that is management speak for "We cant appeal against something that is blindingly obvious" I think that Platt, Mancini and the rest at City are absolutely delighted with 3 cheated points, no further action against Lescott and only a four match ban for the nutter instead of a jail sentence. Like I said Tony, find a bit of dignity like Platt and accept you have got off bloody lightly and the only thing not intact is your own personal reputation for trying to defend the indefensible!

Mancini, aswell as suffering from a severe poorly throat, has seen his arse with the press over his misconstrued Italian arm waving antics, so shock horror, being out in the North sea i'm sure you wouldn't have noticed, but Platt has done most of the interviews for the past 3 weeks

I do look on that website from time to time and nowhere do they say that Mancini is a spineless moron..... so they dont always tell the truth. I will give you a bit of credit though mate as you have not tried to defend the nutter unlike Tony, so brownie points to you there. There is also a good supporters section on the website as well, under the title of 'missing persons'.

It does appear that Balotelli on the Telly moves his leg in an "unusual" manner when taking the ball off nosey Parker..
As usual City will take the punishment with grace unlike Ferguson Taggart who does nowt but scream and cry and throw a red faced tantrum if anyone breathes anyhting bad about his 2nd placed 2nd rate players!!
But dont go down the route of criminal this and that Dakey lad because as soon as you consent to take part in football via your contract you are consenting to be assaulted as it is a contact sport, well I think it is anyway!
Only when it is a blatant assault outside the rules of the game, ie: punched in the face or ala Keane, deliberately intend to break someones leg and career as he admitted, is it deemed criminal.
I know in you RED mind thats what balotelli did but thats for greater powers than you or I to decide sunshine!!

Some people have really lost the plot on this - I didn't realise they had internet access at the asylum but after the Owls last post they must have! Look forward now lads - City have it all to do tomorrow with most of their squad on enforced absence through behavioural problems. However, rather like Giggsy Liverpool prefer playing away so it could be a close game. Can't even remember who's playing tonight!

Dave seems to think it is the big bad medias 'fault' reporting on Mancini running up and down the touchline waving imaginary red cards all over the shop and therefore he is correct to sulk. There was me thinking he is a highly paid professional with a duty to everyone at the club to show an example especially to impressionable young men in their so called acclaimed academy. No wonder watching City is like watching a Mad Max film with leadership like that.
Chaddy, I know you hail from neanderthal land in Chadderton where stamping on someones head is a commonplace way of enjoying your night out on a friday, but to civilised people that offence ranks alongside punches, headbuts and the like as a criminal offence, as opposed to late and dangerous tackles which are generally dealt with quite adequately by the FA, as we have seen recently with Kompany.

Just watched the Carling cup SF and 20 something chances to Cardiff against 1 for Palace tells me that the correct team has gone through. As much as we can applaud and admire the lung busting rearguard effort the Londoners put in, if they had got through then I fear that Liverpool would have wiped the floor with them in the final. At least Cardiff will give the scousers a game and make it a contest........ What? what? what have I said? have I missed something!
Also Dave, I have just done a bit of research in my break on how clubs are run like you requested as I did not want to appear ignorant. Now I realise that you have to sign on 30 odd players for twice their value and pay them three times the going rate, with a minimum wage of £130,000 a week in the squad. Then after a very short period of time loan 30% of those players out to rivals and kindly offer to pay 60% of their salaries and in one extreme example continue to pay one player £200,000 a week, let him stay at home with his family and just slap him with a token fine now and again to give the impression that the club are in charge. Sorry for not realising how clubs are run Dave, I really must do my homework in future before commenting.

Heh heh heh Very brave about the scousers. I might be answering you after the game!! Off to Dubai Thursday morning. Well we do have free week. Hope you draw 6-6 with the scousers on Saturday then beat them on pens at your place. Follow that with 2 games against Chelsea then lose in 2 games to spurs Tomorrow????

Just when I thought sanity had been restored, The FA had taken the correct action against Balotelli if not Lescott. I had put over and won all the arguments with the half witted blue mooners on here who masquerade as City fans, with back up from not only Kev, but our North London friends as well and we could all put it to bed and move on to the next round of football.......... Then I have just read the comments of Balotellis' agent which just goes to show you dont need a brain to be a football agent. He has threatened to remove the nutter from English football if everyone doesnt stop persecuting him and that Webb should receive a life ban for having the termerity to say in his report that it was a sending off offence that merited punishment. While it would be nice for Webb and a few of the other buffoons calling themselves referees to receive life bans, certainly not on this occasion, the only thing he did wrong was not seeing the incident in real time allowing City to pick up a undeserved three points and the sooner that Balotelli and his intellectually challenged agent inflict themselves on another country the better for us all! I hope that is my last word on it, but I somehow doubt it.

I hate to say it but you are right, I have been sat here for 20 minutes determined not to reply to your prompt and I started shaking and sweating profusely. I just had to pen an answer to you. I have been with the significant other for 40 years this year and that is a trait I think I have picked up from her. Subconciously I try to have the last word on here because I cant even get a word in at home ,either last or first!

Not a chance mate of me keeping quiet, I have not looked at the news yet so this might be a wind up, but if you are correct it just confirms to me what I already knew, that the people in charge of your club have more money than sense. Mind you they would only need about 10 pence to be guilty on that score. You appealed Kompanys' red card and were very fortunate to not have the ban increased, that will not be the case this time. If the FA have anything about them they will double it and call in the police at the same time. Lets watch this space.

I have to disagree with Dakey about the right team going through last night. Although Cardiff played much better than us (and that really hurts!) they just can't finish. They had 20 attempts to score and didn't get one in! If it hadn't been for the own goal we would be sitting pretty. Much as I hope Cardiff do go on and win against either Liverpool or Manchester City, I honestly think we would have had a better chance. It's just a shame we can't score or save penalties!
