Best team lost, team that scored most goals won! That's football - oh well unless we ever get to nine points behind, we know we can turn it around!

Great game, felt more even than the stats showed ........... just proves that the stats don't always tell the whole truth Dakey !!!!!

Errors for the winner

1) Hart didn't come for the ball Clichey was chasing back

2) Cichey fannied with it instead of getting shut - had 2 chances to get shut

3) Tevez, silly little clip to give away the free kick, petulance

4) Hart let a player leave the wall leaving Clichey as the corner man, had his bigger man Dzeko in the wroing place

5) Clichey backed away and hid behind Dezeko, then flicked out his foot like a tart. Mancini needs to do some basic wall building with the team coz that was like a girl's wall

6) Hart went back behind his wall (how many times do you see keepers do that?) instead of trusting his wall (don't have one if you ain't gonna trust it)

Hey ho, makes it interesting coming from behind again ...............

Shampers,

Couldnt you see through the tears? it was Nasri who hid behind the wall and flicked his foot out, have you got a downer on clichy?

The simple fact is that with half an hour to go and well on top we scored a completely legitimate 3rd goal,(and none by Robin, Jay) given off side by a blind linesman and a minute later it was 2-1 and City with their tails up when it should have been all over. Rooney was awesome, but he always is when he plays central and further up. SAF should just leave the two of them up there and tinker with the rest and it will take care of itself.

Jay, He left you mate to win things get over it, after all he is not the first to desert you and certainly wont be the last although you are running out of players that the big clubs would be interested in.

finally, obviously I am chuffed to bits, but what a great game, it had everything and if that didnt get your juices flowing then you are not a fan of football.

Dakey

Yep, I'll give you Nasri in the wall, but on the same kind of point a bigger gaff would be ...................

One thing for certain is that we will be playing narrow and packing it in midfield as our natural two wide men are injured.

Should have been a canter at 3-0 - Atkinson nearly blew it again for us. Great game spoilt by the behaviour at the end. Disgusting and I guess a soft FA fine is unlikely to be a problem. Credit Joe Hart for stopping one of the idiots.

Shampers,

In case you havent noticed Nani and Valencia have been missing the last month and Fergie said in the week that neither would be fit ( I forgot about Young, i will give you that one) So the great man pulled a rabbit out of the hat with Valencia. Cant say I am gutted about getting duped by that one though. Two wingers and two up top is what we have been brought up on at O/T and long may it continue.

That goal by Aguero last year has gone down in City folklore and quite rightly so, but us ending your long unbeaten home run today and stopping this current city team from setting a new club record feels just as good to us reds mate, I can assure you of that.

The final question however must be, how much longer can Balotelli fool people into believing he is a footballer?

 Nice one Chaddy,

Unlike your fellow bluenoses at the game you have shown a bit of class with that post. None of us likes losing and I am one of the worst, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullit through griitted teeth, offer congratulations to the opposition and move on to the next challenge. for every winner there has to be a loser and thats just football.

Yes. It is going to be a battle royal until the end of the season between two fine teams who are a long way in front of the rest of the division. Good for the game that City have stepped forward to challenge us given the demise of Chelski and Arsenal. Bring it on!

 Kev,

While a six point lead, miles more goals scored and a better goal difference is a nice little buffer at this stage, another telling stat that has not been mentioned is even more relevant. We have played 7 home games and 9 away, while City have played 9 home games and 7 away. Given that away games are harder than home games our advantage therefore is even greater than the actual obvious advantage. Just thought I would point that out while I am doing nothing.

Please, can someone shed any light on what has happened to Dave Roy, I am quite worried about my old friend.

Dakey, will let you bask in your glory - a win is a win and the score line does not lie, well done!

Don't get too carried away, remember last year and don't tell me you were not worried when the game went 2-2?

Dave Roy - He is currently assisting GMP with an enquiry into missing 2p's from his pocket - NOT GUILTY YOUR HONOUR!

Hi Guys.....Can't focus on work today, still reflecting to what, boiling the piss off all my obvious red bias, was a fantastic occasion and  advert for the Premier League.  A couple of additional observations I would to like to add to Dakey & Kev dilligent observations.  Firstly,  I can't think of any other manager in world football who would of made the substitition SAF made at 2-2.  City's 2nd performance was worthy of defending champions and as Colin Bell below rightly stated, we were rocking, & most reds at that point would have accepted a point I am sure......but not GOD.....He brings off a midfield player  for.Wellbeck ......who then chases down that clown Toure, no panic or lumping it in the box, the pass to Carrick......Rafa being positive....etc etc  We all are wondering who will follow him, and evey now & then I sometimes wonder if he is going senile......but time & time again, he proves me wrong.  To see our 71 year young jumping up & down at the council house yesterday, as if it was Christmas morning for your average 5 year old.....!!   Just fantastic.

The 'away' games played advantage, that Dakey mentions earlier, is also very significant.  You would have to think that in one of these home games, someone will get a good thumping, to stretch the goal differance further. City have a tough game at the Mags this Saturday - could be 9 points by tea time!!

Not going to make an issue of the Rio incident.  It happens in high stakes games unfortunatley.  It's a fine line between great atmosphere involving serious rivals.....& some idot just crossing the line, but it could quite easlily have been someone at OT throwing something at Tevez, or better still that loathsome of all humanity Suarez

I can't help thanking Jay for RVP enough....Another mastersroke from the master himself....!!

Cheers for now.......just can't stop smiling..

Nick

Gents,

Well what can I say, Another fine day at the council house started by freezing my t...s off waiting outside our entrance for a mate who was a late show, had the usual hassle with the "ever so pleasant Citeh stewards" who were doing their best to antagonise anyone who was red, a slow start to the game left me thinking its a matter of time before Citeh score and then the double delight of Wazza banging in two goals albeit on the counter attack, just somehow knew Citeh would claw there way back into it (Not confident in our defence at all so knew Citeh would score) and then just when I was happy to take a draw RVP (Well Nasri) fires one in, cue a mental frenzied United end and lots and I mean lots of missiles and verbals being thrown and the odd surge to break the line of dibble and stewards separating the two sets of fans, then had the usual 20 min held in ground then another 15 or so on concourse, walk back to Piccadilly made even funnier by Balloteli trying to drive away from the ground only to be mobbed by the red massies walking back into town, funny so funny, shows what a muppet he is as surely everyone knows if driving not to go back into town as roads be full of fans (By the way I think Dave was in passenger seat also trying to escape) All in all a top day that was getting nasty (crowd wise anyway) and could have been a bigger kick off than it was (not as bad as previous years to be honest). Still a long way to go and 6 points is nothing really, untill we sort or defence out I can see us shipping goals and we cant keep relying on the front four to bail us out.

Roll on Champs draw Thursday, hoping for easy journey to Glasgow, £99 plus ticket on United special (well thats what I paid last time we played them and same for Rangers game)

Ged

Crewe Reds.

Ged,

Good observations of the day, saw the pic of Balotelli trying to drive away from the ground - must of thought his camoflage Bentley makes him as untouchable as Mancini thinks he is!!

Coin throwing is unacceptable, I remember being on the receiving end at OT in the cup semi a couple of years ago and I had both of my kids with me - the UTD fans were a disgrace that day and unfortunately so were both sets of fans yesterday - high emotions yes

Quite funny that when speaking to my lad on the way home from the game, the subject of losing bragging rights came up to which he replied, " I am not worried about that dad - I don't know any UTD fans - only Glory hunting TV watching hangers on" - Never truer words spoken and those from a 13 year old (He has been brainwashed since birth mind)

That said, respect your views Ged - proper fan who goes to the games - well done - I know there will be plenty more twists and turns and the way Tevez and Aguero were allowed to pick up the ball deep and run at your defence will need to be sorted if you want to keep results going your way.

Roll on Saturday

Tony

On reflection in the cold light of day, I think the full house confused the City fans and they just reacted badly to it. Who knows how people will react when they find themselves in situations they are not used to!

Jay, Neil,

I feel your pain fellas, Wenger finally realised that he had to take these so called smaller cups seriously and play a full strength team and you go and blow it against average 2nd division opponents. You must be in despair lads, its time for Wenger to don the pipe and slippers and toddle of back to france to enjoy a long retirement.

A phone call yesterday to Manchester police. "Hello, you are through to Manchester police who is calling? "its Sir Alex Ferguson here, I would like to drop my complaint against my noisy neighbours"  "certainly sir, I have it logged now, can I ask why?"... " I dealt with it myself, they are quiet now!"

I have to say I'm starting to feel sorry for Arsenal too which is always a bad sign for the club involved.

 Kev,

One thing we cannot be accused of is hiding in defeat, we always post whether good or bad news. I think Jay and Neil are just gathering their thoughts before giving us their considered opinions. I fully expect George to start reposting very soon if Chelsea continue to show promise. However this post is directed mainly at my old friend Dave Roy, who since the demise of the bitters has completely vanished off the radar! The popular fans chant of "you only sing when your winning" sums up Dave completely and nothing more has to be said.

Fellas,

I am just browsing the sports pages and see that supposed knowledgable journalists are persisting with the theme of Man City being unlucky to have been deawn in a very difficult CL group as the main reason for the abject display. Real Madrid were knocked out of their FA cup equivalent last night by a team of nobodies and are a massive 11 points behind Barca so have absolutely no chance of the title. Dortmunds domestic performance is even worse, they are 14 POINTS behind Bayern and might as well shut up shop on the league right now. I would take either team right now in the knockout stages for UTD and we would canter past either without breaking sweat.

Fantastic Mansfield Town´s 2-1 victory over Lincoln City in the FA Cup last night means they face the mighty Liverpool in the next round of the FA Cup. I love Mansfield  Town ... my late mum was a Vice President there when I was a kid, so the Stags really got me into the old footie. My real passion since then  has been Liverpool, and I have watched them for the past 20 years.

So who do I want to win?

Mansfield of course .... COME ON THE STAGS ...
