Looks like losing 3 times this season to an average team has made fergie realise he is past it and has to go-lol ( now talking of records dakey which you love to do this must be one. who else has  knocked utd out of 2 cups and beaten them comprehensively in the league on their own turf in one season!)
Announcemnet to be made 2.30 uk time when the US Â stock market opens
And looks like the granny fcker will follow the exit door to bayern as he realises manu arent up to it in european comps anymore.

Interesting times ahead,
One thing I will guarantee though as we seek a top class manager, Mancini and Benetez will not be anywhere near the shake up as they are not up to that standard.

George,
look behind the headlines mate, We beat you at the bridge when we were both close in the title race, you beat us at O/T when we played an understrength team and had moved down a couple of gears after winning it. You beat our reserves in extra time in the carling cup after leveling with the last Kick of the game and after the draw at O/TÂ in the FA cup I will reluctantly grant you were the better team in the replay. That is the full story, when it mattered we beat you, if fergie was that bothered about the domestic cups he wouldnt have deliberately weakened the team.
You concentrate on winning the LOSERS cup and the bitters, after Wigan are almost certainly relegated, can concentrate on becoming the record First winners of the FA cup by playing lower division or soon to be lower division opposition. How both Chelsea and City can claim any merit for either is beyond comprehension. (thats assuming that you both actually win the finals, which is certainly not a gimmee)

End of an era but the beginning of a new destiny- As per my comment months ago on this forum- step forward David Moyes (Actually been saying he will be our next manager for 4 years tbh)
All reds should be positive as it was going to happen at some point.

dakey , get your facts straight
you beat us at sb with  the most offside goal in football( player standing behind the goalline- cant get more offside than that )and we had  only 9 men!
we drew at ot in the fa cup  after outplaying you then beat you fair and square in the return
we also did you in the league cup lest you forget
then we came with a squad playing 2 games a week for 4 months while you lot had a relaxing break of 1 game a week so dont bullshit about who had to rotate the most.
You rotated badly  when you didnt even need to and youre manager realised he was passed it and even you could pick a better team so he stepped down in the hope that the messiah would come and save your sinking ship.
Btw i have never liked benitez but unlike you i have never slagged him off when he has mis picked the team. He is the manager not me. I stand by my team not slag them off like you do when you lose.
Jose is chels  thru and thru and no way would he come to your shithole ground on a delapidated housing estate with one  2 carriage  tram to ferry your fans pack to the car parks to get on the m1 south or  to get the train to london so you are stuck with david boring moyes
good luck-lol- happy daze

touched a nerve there George didnt I? If i does happen to be Moyes or Jose, either will do. fast forward 20 years and Sir David Moyes or Sir Jose Mourinho both have a certain classy sound to them dont you think? To earn a knighthood at Chelsea the manager would have to perform a miracle....and stay in the job for 12 months or more!

Just forced myself to watch the Russian owned mob play the tw@ts from down the hole and I probably would of settled for that result at the start. Chelski got to go to Villa away who's form is up and then Everton won't wanna lose if it is Moyes's last game. Sp*ds have tough trip to Victoria ground and Sunderland. I have hopes that we can finally deal with Wigan at home and possibly put them out of their misery and as the Arsenal are'nt playing unitl after their two games we'll know a lot more then. It's in our hands now.

Jay,
Thats all you can ask for, after seemingly being cut adrift early in the season you have shown tremendous bottle to force your way back in and now it is in your hands you have just got to see the job through to the end. Then, for the first time in 20 odd years it is all in the melting pot next season with Fergie not involved and no one knows how that will pan out. It is a definate crossroads for us at Utd, but it is by no means certain that we will fail without him, we could quite easily take it to the next level and that is what I am counting on. If Moyes is the man, it will leave Wenger as the only true long service manager left, but I dont know how long that will last if the trophy drought continues.

Thanks chelski a win would have been better but will settle for tha. All we ask is that the quality is up to us and now it is .. If we win 2 spurs fail again and all the big guns leave. Happy days. Make you right jay no trophies again winger. Will need to stop the drought or go enough is enough. Moyes has had the ute job for ages that's why he did not sign again at Everton. It'd get a new manager for free good business again. Neil

Thanks Sir Alex, the greatest manager of some of the greatest teams at the greatest club ever. A very hard act to follow.
Welcome David Moyes as we look forward to the continuation of the dynasty.
The future's bright, the FUTURE'S RED!
Guys - life's boring after our season finished early. Please put up a better fight next year to keep us interested.

I completely concur with your last point Kev....absolutely no fight in the league from any of us that's why it was so easy for you. Alex knows it probably won't be that easy again and he's wise to shift it now. Now that's shrewd. As for Moyes he's been a running a smaller entity but has won nothing ever so it's a massive gamble but I like him. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the pressure. Jay

Jay,
Moyes has taken lessons from the big managers, he looks and acts like Fergie, but he has copied Wenger meticulously..... He hasnt won anything for ages either.
You cant beat class though, Chelsea appoint managers and give them caretaker titles, interim manager titles or 18 month contracts etc. Utd have said to Moyes you will be given time to put your own stamp on it son, there is a SIX year contract now go and do it without fear of being binned on the owners whim. I mean it is just chalk and cheese fellas. You just cant buy that class can you?

The problem with being the most successful club in England is that it's a step up for any new manager. Whoever we'd appointed is therefore a risk of some sort. I'm very pleased we're looking long term and not just getting in a foreign manager with a big ego.

Man U fans,
Youve got a class act with Moyes.
He came to Everton 11 years ago, and we were struggling to stay in the Prem, with massive debts
He has consolidated, and rebuilt the club, given time by the board and the fans.
He has done that with limited funds, and we has left us a club, in its best state since the mid 1980's.
Fair comment he hasnt won anything, but I still believe him to be a great leader and I am sorry to see him go.
However, I am sure the majority of Evertonians wish him well. He owes us nothing.
I just hope now that some of our star players, dont follow him out of the door, and we can keep on building with the bulk of the squad he has left us with.
There is no way we will have Benitez as our manager. I dont care if he lives on the Wirral or outside Goodison Park. He just would not be accepted. Also noted that Roy Rodgers, and his book of excuses from over the park wasnt linked with any new jobs. He has actually been very clever into manipulating Liverpools fans into believing that a top 10 finish is acceptable, and that progress is being made. Carragher retires, Gerards body is knackered, Suarez needs commiting, £37 million Andy Carrol looks like the way forward. LOL
