My Boys have learnt to defend well for a few games at least now all we need is a goal scorer to balance it up.
Everyone knows it easy to score against the poor teams like liverpool its the others we need to up our game against. Remember Liverpool have been hopeless so far and their only good game was when the dominated against another poor side and ended up being robbed with a 2 each.
Better times ahead I hope.
Ronaldo back to utd no chance they spent all on RVP???

I dont think Real Madrid would let him go, but if they did we could pay the interest on Glazers debt, pay back some of that debt just like we have been doing and buy Ronaldo back and still make a profit on one years income GENERATED BY OUR CLUB!! No Russian Gangster, no Arab asset stripper just plain old good management of our vast global (and local) popularity.That would fit in perfectly with our club policy that has been nurtured for so long now and has made us so successful, i.e. bring in or bring through talented youngsters with potential and bolster that every couple of years with a top drawer marquee signing and bobs your uncle. Add the fact that players WANT to play for our club and are not just there for the money and that is a powerful mix going forward that others will struggle to match, despite vulgar unearned wealth.

I see frank lampard spared english blushes again. Now who was it that said he was too old 2 years ago. And its good to see a player who wants not just to play for his club but his country to. Too many footballers give up their international careers too early as their managers put pressure on them to only play for their club.

In case you did not see, it was Wellbeck who won the penalty with his skill and the 3 efforts of Cleverly were 3 more than your so called wonder kid who was so anonymous I cant even remember his name.
What I will say though is Lescott is an absolute inspiration to all others that share his affliction of 'locked in syndrome', how he gets anywhere near an international cap is beyond my comprehension.

Loved the humour saying you had a well run club. The same club that all the supporters changed colours in protest.
Your lot have been passed around so much the only reason I know who owns you at the moment is when the Utd fans keep moaning about them.
With the income you create if Utd had been run as well as Arsenal no team would compete but you know that they havent.
The only Top Prem club that makes a profit year in year out is Arsenal and in Europe its also B Munich.
Yes I know this has cost us trophies B 4 you mention it and that hurts but please stick to facts Utd over the last 15 years have succeeded despite the bad financial Management.
Jay had a point no decent strikers cost you the title last year and you have RVP now but he has only managed one season in the last five injury free and without him your stuffed look what happen first game, keep your fingers crossed.
By the way if you think the performance on the OX was no up to standard in the 2 games and your boys did well then you will lose all credibility with your views. is it that if they dont play for Utd they are no good regardless, changes the red specs!!!!!!!

Lescott, bought from Wolves by Moyes for £5m, Moyes turns him (like Baines) into an England player, sells him for £25m to Citeh - WHAT A MANAGER this guys is (and he got amazing money for Rodwell from the moneysbags Citeh too). He then buys JAGS for even less from Wednesday and again turns him into a an England squad player. Best manager in the EPL by a long way - amazing we have held onto him. Hope Fergy keeps talking to Guardiola to take over from him probably next year after the Spaniard has had his year out ..................

Jeb All great examples mate but not sure he's the best but on the budget he's had and the players his picked up developed and moved on I agree that he's certainly up there. A lot of my pals from the dark side of north London covert him greatly and I for one are glad they took the AVB route as Moyes as Sp*rs boss could have improved them greatly. Hopefully he'll stay with you and you'll have a great season and challenge for the top 6 or even top 4. It would be nice to have proper team who play in dark blue in the champions league for once!! ;) Jay

Ive been saying for at least 6 years now that DM will United's next Manager,however I think the guy needs to come in as Fergie right hand man for a season just to get a feel for what its like then from following season take the rains.
Fergie only got two seasons left anyway then he is offski.

I could also add Cahill, £1m from Millwall and what a player he was, and now Jelavic at £5m from Rangers looks like £15m easy (given the stupid money paid fron Caroll and for Fletcher etc he looks like an absolute bargain), then there's Peinaar who plays out of his boots for us, and he's made journeymen Osman and Hibbert look decent, then there's Distin a bargain replacement for Lescott - Fellaini was expensive and maybe the jury is till out but very very few fails ................... some record eh - thanks for your comments Jay - will be interesting to see what happens to the Gooners this season - I can see Wenger make the move upstairs very soon. Was at the Emirates last season for the anniversary game v Everton and the only thing that separated us was that RVP wonder goal - you will miss him big time (was a VIP package with meal etc before the game courtesy of my good mate Neil a fellow Condadian) - very very impressive stadium and nice soft seats too ! - really made me realise what a challenge Everton have to do something about Goodison, still we have a decent team on the pitch. Agree about AVB at Spurs looks like a slow car crash already. Can't see Moysey going to the devils they will go for a mega name I think - will be intersting to see what happens there.

Nice to see the gunners making an early fist of it, its taken a while but I think Wenger has realised that you have to be solid first and play your stuff from that solid base. It will be interesting to see if you can sustain it. Its also nice to see two properly run clubs, playing good football sandwiched in nicely between the filth and the shite in the top four. It will be interesting also to see how many more players refuse to shake Terrys hand before he retires, great example for a Captain, but it epitomises the club he plays for so we shouldnt be surprised at all.

Think that the handshake pre match should be scrapped as all the build up relates around it!
Lets let the football do the talking and at the end of the match the players can shake hands with whoever they want.
It was another FA led iniative which serves no purpose as per the norm for the FA so get rid and let battle commence.
Let the football do the talking and the best team will surface and win the league just like last season!
