Hi Dave & fellas,

I have waited a few days to pick my words carefully and also to receive Daves apology for his teams display on wednesday, but I will let the stats that I am reading from the Daily Mirror say it for me. Lowest number of passes in the attacking third in the premier league this season; MAN CITY. Third lowest goal attempts in the premier league this season; MAN CITY. That just about says it all, Edwin Van Der Sar has donated his wages this week to charity, he said he has had nothing to do so he cannot justify being paid.

Dave, I know you love the club, but seriously, the dross you are serving up for 350 million quid on players and you are scared to come out of your own half at home! If City were playing in my back garden I would shut the curtains. I am sure, however, that you will try and justify the unjustifiable.

Cheers Dakey [ 25 not out, bring on the Villa]

Nice to hear from you again Jay, I think you are having a a little joke, We may not be firing on all cylinders yet, but boring never, If we are not throwing a two goal lead away then we are clawing back a two goal deficit. To compare us with the 'bitters' is laughable, they need to phone a mini-bus just to get out of their own half.

Taking Nicks point, the game against Newcastle was the first time ever that I have seen the gunners run out of ideas at home and by the end you were just resorting to route one long balls to no-one. That must be worrying for you.

On a final point I was getting a bit worried by all these hard fought draws until I studied the history books and realised that Arsenals 'unbeatables' drew 13 games in that famous season, so we have got a few more draws to come before we get near that total.

Cheers Dakey

Amazing comeback today fellas. Went out with the good lady to grab some supplies with about 15 mins to go safe in the knowledge that the villa had you sorted only to return an hour later to find out utd had pulled it back. Fair play but what a poor 1st 70 mins I nearly fell asleep again! Let's hope we can try and find some consistency soon and start with a win up at the toffees tomorrow. Cheers Jay

Watched some of City's game today...pity the poor sod who has to come up with the highlights package for that one!!

Spurs may not manage 4th again but its always interesting to watch them...goals can come from anywhere (at both ends of the field).

City are now making Liverpool look expansive and exciting.

SMV,

It is imperitive that City win nothing this year and Mancini is sent packing back to the ultra boring Serie A. Before I get Dave on jumping down my throat, it has nothing to do with my obvious bias towards United, it has everything to do with enjoying good open flowing attacking football and if they get success with that style of play then others might copy and it will be the death of our game as we know and love it.

I have to say also that Dave supports Rangers as well so he is probably enjoying Citys' version of 'anti football'. Now wouldnt that be a game to get the juices flowing, City v Rangers..... not!!

Cheers Dakey

I certainly have nothing against City muscling in with all their cash...although I know it'll make it extremely difficult for my team (Spurs) to grab the 4th spot in the future.

They are doing exactly what Chelsea did, maybe from a lower position and with more money.  And the so called "Big 4" have kept their monopoly going based on playing champions league football and the cash they derived from that (CL = more cash = CL = more cash = CL etc etc).  Realistically the only way someone would catch them would be from a huge cash injection.

My issue with City is how can you spend that much money and play such unattractive football.  At least under Hughes they used to attack (from my memory).  They have so little creativity in the middle of the park.  I find it hard to see how you can spend that much money and not make more of an impact considering what one £8m signing did for Spurs.

The big problem for City fans must be that they aren't far ahead of the likes of Villa/Spurs/Liverpool and these teams haven't had the best of starts due to injuries, lack of form etc.  City's position/points is more down to attitude, tactics, and overall approach taken by the team and manager.  The way City play you would surprised if they put on a run of wins but the chasing teams could quite easily do that.

Rooney back in training and looking fresh, The Glazers paying off a large peice of our debt with their own money, Chelsea suffering some unfortunate injuries with a couple of toughie away games of the type we have had coming up, A couple of decent looking home games for us at the same time. Could it be that the tide is about to turn? To put a top hat on it, Citydave is so ashamed of his boring, boring team that he will not be enticed into friendly banter anymore and after thinking that his team would be sweeping all before them with gusto, I would think that a defeat to Mark Hughes' Fulham will probably see him turn suicidal.

Come on Dave, it cannot get any worse, can it?

Cheers Dakey

Come on Dakey,

Rooney's "training" is just a couple of marriage guidance sessions at relate and as for 250 million paid off....where exactly has that come from.

My guess is your shiester owners have probably just leavered more money from another part of the club or their group as a whole. You can't be happy knowing that you are in a precarious position like the irish. On the pitch; all things considered they aint doing too bad but certainly not the utd of past. With Chelski possably missing JT & Lampard for a while yet it's actually looking good for the Gooners with even  your chuckle brother saying we might have a bit more about us this year.

All the best

Hello Jay mate....nice to see you being so perky these days.....I nice change from recent seasons...!!  I have to admit that I think the Goooooners look a threat this season, but even you are prone to preformances & results like the one against the mags recently.  United do look a shodow of former teams at the minute, but to be honest in recent seasons that has often been the case........we all know that Fergie normally has them firring from Christmas onwards......our 2 games against Chelsea & your lot before Christmas should define things I think.

How is your golf by-the-way...?  Hope you & Billy are still keeping it on the straight & narrow...

Speak soon

Hi Jay,

I agree with Nick, its nice to see you chirpy again, but if my memory serves me correct that usually happens a couple of times a season until your team eventually implodes. In fact, this season already you have lost games against teams you  should not be losing to. I would also agree that we do not look as good as some of our teams that have dominated English football for 20 years or so. What I will say though is I cannot remember too many 25 game unbeaten runs by our previous teams so we must be doing something right and as Nick says we never get going until Xmas anyway so we have it all to look forward to.

[ Are you still there Dave?]

Cheers Dakey

Dave, mate,

Now that your team form the backbone of the England team under the expert guidance of Tommy Cooper. Having watched the game against France [and it was like having my teeth pulled without painkillers], do you have a view on the fact that the backbone have transferred Citys 'anti football' to the international arena?

Cheers, Dakey

PS, give us a clue on what topic we can entice you back into the genaral debate with. It is obvious that you feel ashamed of your club, so if it bothers you to talk about them I will talk about something else. Dont get reclusive like in the past when your team has let you down, we will all help you cope with it, you have many friends who care about you, dont do anything stupid. [ I wish I had a pound for every time I have had to talk you out of depression because of your team]

Dakey, your beggin is worryin me. Tell Yvonne, when you're at home and those big Norwegians, when you're on the rigs, to talk to you aswell ha ha. Your waffle is managing to entice some of the boys back.....good!

Good to hear you worryin about us. 6 points off the top not let a goal in against any of last years top 6 whjen playin with 10 men, beat Chelski 3 times in a row, not lost in 4 attempts to Liverpool, won 3 out of 4 against Arsenal. Just havin a minor blip with shooting practice up front. Watch Carlos and super Mario go in December.

Now you know how much I love the England footie team ha ha. Funny seein em now with 7 City reserves playin.

Dont worry about us boys the squad is good and goals are in there. Worst that can happen is we spend another 2 days oil money in January on a couple more strikers. Just pause a second to consider how many English players in other clubs at the moment!!!

Bring back Neville and Evans. Pure defensive Genius. Jay was superb about the double Glazers pretending to pay part of the Billion debt back. 6 more similar payments to go!!!!!

X Dave

Class Dave.......I guess with all those years (34) of misery at Main Road & now Wastelands, a good sense of humour is a must !!

Looking forward to see what reception the spud face nipper gets today from the OT crowd.....mixed I suspect.  Good luck to Spurs & Birmingham today too.

Nick How could ya! The sp*rs!!!!! Come on you gooners just got on the old central line on me way to the grove. By the sound of things could be one of the last north London derbys as the mob from hole are off to share cockles, eels and welcks with our pals from the east end. Eeeeeiiiieeee!! Hope Rooney gets it from your mob because basically he pulled your knickers down and rogered your mob to the tune of 200k a week! Enjoy your games boys. Much love Jay

Now thats what I am talking about, Dave, It took some doing but I have dragged you back from the brink again. Now if your poxy negative manager can grow a backbone and play with a bit of adventure we may be in for a bit of Manchester Dominance for a few years. The 'unbeatable' Chelsea have already lost FOUR times in 14 games, the same as the predictable gunners, so the both of them offer little threat. I am more worried about Spurs if they start to believe in themselves a bit.

Did you see the standing ovation today for Rooney when he came on? 75,000 on their feet each and every one. In a difficult year for him, admitably of his own making, that must have made him feel 10 feet tall. I can see us moving on out of first gear very soon and that will be bad news for everyone else.

Thats just my usual unbiased opinion of course.

Cheers Dakey

Hola Jay........I suspect you have spent most of yesterday evening trying to dodge the boy Malcom...?    But you can't avoid the
E-O-S footy forum...ha ha.   What a match for the neutral though, great fare..!!

We continue to struggle for form, but the results going in our favour again mades it another good day all round.  I was only saying to Tom last week as we headed to the range last Sunday evening, fully expecting Chelsea to beat Sunderland, thereby opening up a 6 point gap, that we needed to close the gap to 3 by New Year........didn't expect it be done in less than a week.....Football hey....Bloody Hell.

Not sure of Dakes assessment of the Spud face nipper reception yesterday.......Master stroke again from Fergie to bring him on at the same time as fans favourite Paul Scholes.......crowd didn't really know how to handle that.   But it is a big problem out of the way for Rooney, so hopefully his form will quickly recover.  Blackburn at home next, so a good opportunity for him

Hope Malcom goes easy on you my friend........but I suspect not!!

Speak soon

Skell

Alright guys......Just as I was getting a little excited eh. Still it only took em 17 years lets hope it takes em that and more next time. Had to chuckle that even though they somehow managed to get the result mainly down to our naivety they still move down the league. Managed to avoid Malcolm but ran into Mr Becks Vier and Mr Morgans and I've got to go and watch Hannah play footie at 11.00 and Billy at 14.00 its gonna be long long day with smattering of sp*rs fans around celbrating like they have won the world cup as usual.

Hope you are all well.

Yet another rollercoaster ride from Spurs.  I'm thinking of only watching the 2nd half of the games from now on as it seems it takes us 45 minutes to warm up.

Wenger and Arsenal fans will be fuming as they should have killed the game off by halftime.  I don't even think Spurs were that great in the 2nd half.  Bale's goal was top class but what was Fabregas doing when he gifted us a second.

Usually its Spurs who implode and throw a game away with stupid mistakes...this time I'm happy it was Arsenal.
