Lynn,
If only your players could learn to run, pass, tackle and dribble....... it would make up for their lack of ability in the air! ( just a joke lynn and yes I remember that you sorted us out at O/T)

Guys,
What a fabulous night of football. You wouldnt want to ref a game between Real and Barca would you? apart from the skill on show the players are an absolute nightmare with diving and cheating all over the pitch, still a brilliant spectacle though.
Now then, its all gone quiet in the blue quarter of Manchester ( I say quarter not Half because that is the make up of the fan bases in Manchester) Out of yet another cup and lets be honest if it wasnt for Joe Hart over the two legs it would have been embarrasing to say the least. Over the two games Liverpool had 22 chances to Citys 4! I dont really have to say any more than that do I? Never mind Dave, it frees up another weekend away for you and the missus to go sightseeing somewhere nice other than Wembley.
Keep your chin up fellas, you still have plenty to play for...... or maybe not!

Quote of the season so far goes to Kenny Dalgliesh
" If Man City have anyone else like Craig that they dont want to keep, then they know where to find us!"
Priceless

Dakey,
I'm surprised you've posted re-last night already - I've only just stopped laughing. Thought I was going to have to go to A&E to get my sides stitched together! Perhaps City will be selling Richards and Hart to Liverpool soon? After all, they're their best players and both British so must feel out of place. Apart from being man of the match (which says alot) I saw Hart interviewed afterwards and he showed some humility and respect to Liverpool and talked some sense. Another reason why he doesn't fit in over at Pantoland. Mancini needs to learn from him - still bleating about this and that - bottom line is they were outplayed in both games FACT and the best team went through.
Having seen our injury list and Liverpools performance last night I think we'll find it tough on Saturday but we often respond well to adversity.

Kev,
Notice the wall of silence from the Citiots this morning, it is deafening. Dave knew what was coming, he has even scuttled off to Dubai so he doesnt have to get involved hoping it would all have blown over by the time he returns.
Now, looking forward no one can predict the outcome of games, but the simple fact is we are going to Anfield on saturday with a seriously depleted team. They have just smashed the bitters out of sight over two legs, reached a final and will be absolutely flying. Liverpool are not the consistant team of old, but we saw last night that when they are up for a game and play that high tempo stuff, they are still a very formidable outfit. Still cant believe by the way, that King Kenny left Gerrard and Bellamy on the bench for the league game at City! If any team can sqeeze a result out of them in these circumstances it is us, but it wont be easy and it most certainly wont be pretty, however, looking forward to it immensely.

Hey Dakey,
Of course we are out here and not going into the exile that you did after a certain game at the swamp recently! Never nice to lose but the best team over the two legs won, unfortunately against a team who are not great so stop smoothing a path in case you lose there on Saturday, for once I hope you win and stay in the FA cup right up to the Semi's!!
Also loved Kenny's comment and playing golf with him on a regular basis am used to his quick wit, he remains a legend.
Stop going on about empty grounds, so we have a ground which holds 48k instead of whatever the swamp holds, pretty much every league game has sold out this year but anyone with half a brain knows that various amounts of segregation deems any stadium unable to accomodate the full number of seats it has. You will also find a lot of UTD hangers on around the world some have been to the museum not many have been to a game, there are loads in Manchester, Miggleton, Leicestershire, London etc.
Then again I suppose you boys are going to the game at the weekend?
Enjoy

Tony,
I never thought of that, segregation, yes I understand now, Liverpool sold their allocation at the Etihad, but there were only 36,000 there because of segregation! Silly me, I should have realised that. but wait, why was there no 'segregation' at Anfield last night?
There is an old saying mate, when you are in a hole, stop digging. With a post like that it is probably better for you to stay incognito.
I think you will find as well that I continued posting after all three derbies this year, two of which we won by the way.
Cheers, Dakey

Tony,
Not a nice feeling, I will grant you that, but for every one we have lost we have won about four so cant really complain. Do you remember the last humiliation you inflicted on us, 5-1 it was and it ended up meaning nothing as you did not win anything, just 3 points. Now when we avenged that result a few years later with a Kanchelskis inspired 5-0 win, that meant everything as we went on to win the league. Do you get where I am coming from here? these one off fluke results are very nice but unless you follow it up and win the league it will mean the same as the last one absolutely nothing. To your credit last years FA cup SF win meant something as you went on to win it. Do you understand what I mean now? Did you just love that 6-1 derby or did you love the other two where you got slapped as well?
Now just to finish on, I know you have spent a fortune and all you Citiots had set your hearts on winning everything this year, but just because that is not going to happen there is no need to get upset and sulk. There is enough money in the Mr Mansours wallet to start all over again and build another team. its simple isnt it mate.

been a little tied up with business but now got a little time to summarise. wow what a couple of weeks
Dakey & the reds
congrates on beating us but thought you should have done it easier with us having no full backs and playing the kid. We are in dire straights and fourth is looking a long way off at the moment but at least with the others all dropping points we are still in the mix just hope another decent run is round the corner. All said UTD will have to play better than that if they want the title.
Dave the cabinate is getting smaller the board must be fed up having to ring the carpenter to downsize every time. The fear of fears is that Dakey is right and you season is going to fall apart one trophy left to concentrate on so goodluck its gonna be an intresting couple of weeks coming up.
I have to say I now think its a race for the top 3 and fourth is seperate between us and Chelski,
Neil

Neil,
Nice to hear from you again, I know you have had some disruptive injuries this season, but nowhere near the amount we have. Vidic, Ferdinand, Jones, fletcher, Anderson, Cleverly, Owen and now Nani are all out now some for the season and every other outfield player has had spells out. We have battled through it and are handilly placed although with tough away games with Chelsea and Spurs coming up we are in a tough period, However, we have just beat City and Arsenal away so we need not fear any of the others. As Fergie quite correctly points out, we have tough games coming up but they are at least as tough for the teams we are playing. Whatever happens, I love this time of the season and the games cant come quickly enough for me. As you say Neil Citys' trophy cabinet is getting smaller by the week, by the end it can be sold off as a snuff box to put on one of your bars in the club.

Neil,
I have just had a thought, what is wrong with Citys' old trophy cabinet, They can evict Lord Lucan after he has cleaned up Shergars droppings, then a coat of blue paint and bobs your uncle!

Dakey, Dakey,Dakey,
Stop talking about history, the future is now - yes we have spent money, mmmm so have you although you did it over time with the ferdinands and Rooneys of this world!!
I think we will romp the league this year but guess what even if we don't the future is most definately Blue and that is where the money comes in. You keep paying your debts off, good to see you are investing.... Oh yes ..you are not are you!!!!
Tony
The future is Blue, take great delight in the odd defeat but remember:
There is a Blue Moon Rising

Tony, Tony, Tony,
The Americans are talking about putting a manned base on the moon, Give them a bell and tell them there is already one there and you have been on it for the last month! The ODD defeat? are you having a laugh. You have played 7 games in January losing THREE and drawing one( It would be four defeats only for blind man Webb), also the draw was really a defeat as it sent you out of the Carling cup. Hardly the stuff of legend is it mate? You are right about one thing, the future is blue for you and blue is the universal colour for desperation and depression and I think that is what is in store for you.
On the investment front I will have to concede ground to you there, you have invested wisely in the likes of Tevez, Bellamy and Adebayour among others,.......not!

Dakey,
You are very good at selecting the stats you wish, I don't have to go over the great or not so great buy's over at the swamp - we can all select the stats we want by my god I have to give it to you - you are the greatest statatician in the world.
I am sure I can select a run of form from Blackburn that makes them title contenders including their victory at the swamp but I am sure your stats will say that was a freak result!! Wake up to the future Dakey there is a 45 deg slope and you are sliding down and we are moving up
The only desperation I think is with the pensioner and the Glazers

Enjoy the game, I presume with all the times you go on about fan base, empty seats, closet fans etc etc you will be at Anfield this weekend so will be thinking about you.
Maybe you will have a friendly referee on your side again as your 12th Man.
