Actually there is one player from both sides that isnt a mercenary. His club helped him out when he was a brash teenager and he has repaid that faith by turning down a 150% salary increase to play for the club he started with as a schoolboy and one day will end up with unenvied posoined chalcice job as manager!
At least you can rest assured that none of your french tarts (arsenal is in my heart but never my wallet) wil ever repalce the kiddy fiddler ! God rest his moral soul!
ill persevere with kids even if that does'nt mean we win any trophies philosiphy which i am 100% sure all the arsenal fans absolutlely cream over!

It's all about balance. To be a club that has class and history you have to earn it. Not pay for it. Blackburn Chelski and now Citeh if they win will all have that record of being champions by the means of buying it and not developing it and earning it fair and square. All your blustering and attention diverting tactics from that fact make us all laugh. If I was a chelski fan (and thank god I ain't) it would really rile me that all the other clubs feel the same way about my club as they do about Blackburn. You were technically out of business and sold for FA to a robbing Russian scum bag who has now sunk a BILLION quid in bar the pennies without your club making any headway in the popularity stakes. In fact he and his antics have probably made Chelski the most despised club in the country. He sacked Ancellotti ( a gentleman i might add) after winning you the double and last year after an amazing start sacked the true blue legend of old butch Wilkins and thank god he did because he totally derailed your season before eventually signing a Portuguese baby with no experience. Your a laughing stock and it's absolutely hilarious. Seriously George for that spend should you have not won the championship and the champions league every year for the last 6 years???? My gooner pals ask me what I feel about Usminov taking over and to be honest the thought sickens me. The thought of a sugar daddy money no option solution is just not for me or Arsenal and this past 3 performances proves to me that if Wenger perseveres with his policy and enhances it with quality signings to build round Wilshire RVP and Oxlade Chamberlain then the future looks very bright. when blackburn won the league were you really hoping the other lot one it or did you like the rest of us love it.
does a fulham,chelsea , man city fan or any fan with forein investment really care who funds the club or are they more worried that that they win or win with style.
the only mistake our owner made was changing from a team that pissed the league 2 years in a row to a team that tried and failed to win playing beatiful football.
and lets face in jay you like the rest of us know passing the ball square for 20 minutes hasnt won you a trophy since your uncle took you to a game on his knee

Nice to see a bit of friendly mid table banter on the day we slipped under the radar and moved effortlessly top of the pile. With the games coming up for the bitters, I am loathe to say it is all over, but I cant help myself. Jay you keep on believing if this was that and that was this then you might have won the other when in reality we just keep winning with worse injury problems than you have had and you keep winning jack sh..! I am glad that Arsenal and Chelsea are showing a bit of form with the bitters coming up, but really it doesnt matter as we will win it anyway.

Dribble mate as usual. You have a Centre half out for a 1/3 of season so far and a shit kicker in midfield with a swollen bum hole. Compare that to four first team fullbacks for 1/2 a season and England's best player out for the entire season!!!

Still think your mob is nowhere near as good as it was as was proved on Thursday so in essence you maybe top but the league must be much worse than I realised. When you have played proper tough opposition like basel and Bilbao the real flaws have been shown and just under your bleeting and sqwarking you knows it.

A long way still to go so we're not counting our trophies till their delivered but I did expect it to go further before City lost their bottle.
On the other subject - I'm with you Jay. Class is earnt over years not purchased. Clubs like Utd, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool have built it over decades not purchased it in a summer.

Ha ha, one game switch and Utd think the title is theirs! Its in both clubs own hands, lets see.
I think City will win the title however even if they don't it will be one step forward in the quest for World Domination!!

Seriously for a while I was delighted that UTD did not win it in 93 however that did not mean I was happy with Blackburn buying it either. It just dont sit right with me. Sorry if you don't get that but that's the way I feel personally. I don't like the fact you have bought success and I won't like it when Citeh do the same.
If chelski had to balance the books they simply could not nor could citeh. It's as simple as that. I would not want your mob winning the league regularly if you were self sufficient like the majority of us due to local rivalry but I could stomach it if you did off your own backs but you don't and you cant just get away from that fact. I could even accept Sp*rs doing it now more than you or citeh and you won't hear many Gooners say that.
In Germany since the new fair financial play regulations have been implemented in the last 5 seasons their have been 4 different winners. Compare that to our league and the meagre amount of teams that have done it. Two legitimately and two have bought it.................... in 20 years!!!!!
I know chelsea fans who obviously enjoyed the success and money when it first came in but now these fans are even sick and tired of Abromovich and his crass actions. He aint a football man and he's making a mockery of your club but you're stuck with him and there's FA you can do now about it.
I'm hoping that in 2014 football will start to come back to some form of sensible normality instead of this absolute bollox that we have now.

Its going to be a battle now but I still like our chances with the run in we have (then again I had Spurs in 4th in the CdA picks). Unfortunate to see Dawson and Lennon out again but Harry's going to have to come up with a system to replace the pace and width Lennon was giving us when we were in top form. I am worried about the defence as there has been some pitiful efforts in last few games...until then we had been solid.
Arsenal are playing well and we could do with RVP slipping in the shower!! Just remember we were down at the bottom after the first few games of the season and then went on a run to 3rd spot. No reason we can't do that again.
I did have to laugh in the everton game when the commentator said after appeals by Spurs for handball " you don't get those, his hands were by his side and its bounced off his body first from close range". I thought how true unless you happen to be Adebayor and put it into Utd's net.
FA Cup next up and then Chelsea. If we can win both we'll be back on track. If we don't then maybe chasing you might push us back into form...I hope it doesn't take that!!
I noticed the ongoing posts about buying the league. Don't blame fans (City/Chelsea) for celebrating their success but don't think it means as much as if they had won without the friendly billionaire.

Their spell of dificult games has not got past the first stage without slipping up, We will be out of sight by the Etihad game mark my words.

I get accused of wearing red tinted glasses, but you take the buscuit mate. Your posts are sprinkled with "the best player in the league" or "the best english player in the country". What criteria are you judging them on? achievement is certainly not one of them. I would think you have to actually win something tangible to merit those accolades, not just a short spell of good form.

RVP is the PFA "football player"s player of the year elect for this year and Wilshire is the current PFA young player of the year. Are you saying that these two players are not as good as their current contemporaries think they are?? You'd give anything to have those two players. Just think if you had the resourses of your neighbours you could even try and tapp em up like they have.

You really are bitter and twisted, you should change your allegience to the bitters there is a club full of them there waiting for you. Nani won the young player of the year and good as he is I did not go round calling him the best player in the league. RVP may well win the PFA award, but he hasnt yet and when he does that will mean that he has had a good season, but he is 28 going on 29, what has he achieved so far in his career to date? Answers on the back of a postage stamp please. In answer to your other comment, If I had the chance to sign RVP he would still be my 4th choice behind Rooney, Wellbeck and Chico, you see those players are achievers not flatterers and if he decides to jump ship to City in the summer that will just make him a higher paid loser come the end of next season!
How does that rank on my list of stupid posts mate!

I had a long and successful amatuer career in the Middleton premier league and the manchester league industrial 'A' division which were the top leagues at the time in the manchester area and I won the top goalscorer in the league award 3 times, so I know something about strikers. I then moved on to manage semi professional players for 5 years, winning trophies at that as well. Those are my credentials, show me yours! Oh I nearly forgot to mention, I also played for manchester boys at school, I was inside left and one of Daves heroes Peter Barnes was outside left. The teamsheet is framed and has pride of place on the wall in my gamesroom!

Very similar to mine. I too have a very egotisitcal picture on the wall in my office of a newspaper declaring our County Schools side the best for 20 years. Was at Brentford for three months when suffered a partially snapped achillies tendon due a to a late tackle from behind from a team mate in training and after 2 ops and umpteen quaterzone injections just to get me through matches (at 16 years old which was not clever when you look back). Then got released and it all ended there.
So yeah your right I'm very bitter......but not the about Arsenal!!

Did anyone hear the story that liverpools john lennon airport was closed the other weekend due to a dust cloud after someone opened the trophy cabinet.
At least it will be a few years before heathrow is shut when arsenal win somthing!
