Just watched MOTD without the haze of alcohol and it just highlights that you need the 'luck' as well as other things at times. The gunners have 'nicked' third place of us by a penalty that was given even though the foul was outside the box and an offside goal, however you take those when they come along as it happens to us all.

Ho Ho Ho Ho!! sorry I couldnt wait for the end. Have you ever seen a more embarrasing display by an english team in europe? I cant remember one, although some of citys previous efforts have come close.

So speaketh the Rochdale red, sadly there is only you who didn't notice that City had the best of the second half. I've suffered Man U supporters lack of football kowledge at first hand, whenever the oppostion head the ball there is always a resounding call of "HAND BALL", and apparently Man U players are allowed to charge the keeper and ball into the back of the net, whilst both of his feet are off the ground. I thought that you lot had got enough on your plates in hating Liverpool FC, without bringing a well supported Manchester club into the equasion
You guys are very lucky to be able to win games whilst playing badly, you've managed to make Di Maria look like a player that has been signed from a none league club, and Rooney and van Persie are not half the players that they were, had Furguson still been in charge he would have worked his nutts off to sign Harry Kane, my bet is that he goes to Spain.

Well supported???!# Sheffield has more people that can string a coherant sentence together than City have supporters.....which ever way there are not many of either.
5 attempts at the CL and not once past the last 16, that is a joke whatever spin you want to put on it for the most expensive squad ever built, EVER!!
Now, get your wellies on and go and do a bit of train spotting or whatever it is you do in Sheffield these days in the absence of any sort of decent football teams.

Got taught a lesson by a very strong and physical side and although their 1st goal was flukey their two breakaway goals showed us up for what we are....naive in defence still!!!
On another night we might have got a couple but Giroud was atrocious this evening.

I'm beginnig to think that Sky's wonderous Premiership is not the best thing since sliced bread after all, whilst our overpaid Premiership players have been jogging on the spot, other European top leagues have been picking up speed. Me thinks ihat it is time to look at the management qualites of the likes of Ronald Koeman and Garry Monk, who against all the odds, are giving the big money outfits a run for their money.
As for Arsenal, they always appear to me, to be short of a couple of world class players, who would make all the difference. Also I am bemused that Steve Bould, who was a very uncultured player,that I shall always remember as the guy who finished David Hirst's career, being the assistant manager of side that attempts to play atractive football.

All good points and yes Bould was a bit physical at times but ultimately that stell and discipline is what we lack and Wenger has Bould there only for appearances and to appease us fans....he obviously does not take any advice from him!!!

Looks like it is not just the bitters that are a joke in europe, add Liverpool and Arsenal to that 'elite club' as well. We might as well have entered the two Sheffield clubs and Rochdale as well as I am sure they would have done a better job.
Never mind, Utd will be back in there next year to give Chelsea a hand, lets face it we couldnt do any worse than this sorry lot.

Gary Neville doesn't give Man U a snowball's chance in hell of reviving their past glories, I'd love Southampton to qualify for the Champions League, they remind me of Cloughie's Forest, they are a bright light in a very dark place. I think that the Premiership will not be as interesting without Man U firing on all cylinders, but the Rochdale red will just have to get used to it.

Congratulations to Wayne Rooney, the only player to have scored 10 goals or more in every one of the last ELEVEN PL seasons followed by a message to King Louis who says we dont have a 20 goal a season striker.......We have 4!! Rooney, Van Persie and Falcoa have all scored more than 20 on a regular basis. young Wilson, given a run of games will also eventually come into that bracket, the problem is obvious to everyone that LVGs style of play is not striker friendly. The slow possession based build ups are giving us 75% of the ball but the strikers are feeding on scraps and are easy to mark. We need some dynamic midfield and wide men going past people and BEYOND the strikers to turn the defenders backwards and then these players will score boatloads. The only other option is to play a team with such a poor defence that the strikers can create their own chances........bring on Arsenal!!

- Just a quick post to say well done to chelsea for collecting their 1st silverware of the season and at last happy to see fabregas a wembley winner. Hopefully i can come back and post again at the end of the season if we pick up another trophy and collect my winnings from dakey.
