Back from London, meanwhile the Manure scraped a 1-0 courtesy of Utd's greatest ever player (to be), Ashley (i said Ashley) fell over again, the Manure were offering half price tickets in the prawn sandwich areas for weeks before the game, the Arse didn't travel too well again, talking of empty stadiums, the Manure's has been empty twice at the last 2 home games, anyway thought i'd do a Dakey and trawl some stats to confirm what i'd heard, and it's true ...............

The Manure have managed just 16 goals in their last 13 home Prem games - that's Championship form in my eyes cheeky

Oh, and we won away at the Champions of Europe, and the only taunt is that we didn't try to win by more, YCNMIU, straws and clutching comes to mind wink

Shampers,

Another few stats for you, Runner up last year in the league, Runner up to Wigan in the FA cup and now Runner up in your CL group, bit of a theme taking shape there mate dont you think? You will be challenging Chelsea for their losers crown if you are not careful.

haydngj,

you cant play teams from your own group or country in the last 16 of the cl, but you can in the last 8 but thats a really tough call for both these teams.hope you both win, firstly because youre british(well thats stretching it a bit in l'arses case) but more importantly wouldnt want to face any of these if the mighty blues qualify.as you say correctly though man ure would have been the soft option and would now be anyones choice now to play in the last 8..

therefore man city play either  BarcelonaReal Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bor dortmund or  Paris St Germain

and l'arse play either  BarcelonaReal Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich or  Paris St Germain.

George,

I was going to educate the buffoon as well but I am not going to communicate with another muppet who wont even post a decent name to call him/her by, I mean we already have one nutter calling him/herself 'Chaddyowl' and that is ridiculous enough for one forum. THe other point about soft options is actually one I would partly agree with as we are not in a great moment at this time........ However, the name of the game is to get out of the groups preferably in top spot and we have proved quite adept at that down the years. Your lot have also scraped in through top spot even though having been smashed home and away by Basle it is certainly not deserved. The other two have fallen short and may possibly suffer from that down the line, but my point is that now it is put to bed until february and down at the business end of the season things can and usually do look completely different and by then teams could well want to avoid us like the plague.

Ho, ho, ho. No it's not Christmas yet - I'm still laughing at those jokes down the road. Even the two planks on here can't defend them.

Jay,

Have to disagree there my friend, Chelsea are virtually foreign but there is still a percentage of the players in their first 11 that are british..... unlike the bitters who have sold their soul completely to foreigners, with foreign owners, players and managerial team. They only have a small handfull of squad players who are british who are nowhere near the team on big match days and the lickspittle backstabber Kidd in the wings shit stirring and thats it. No wonder hardly anyone goes to watch them, there is nothing to identify with if you are a local. The City we used to know and begrudgingly respect are long gone mate.

Haydn,

I will accept that as a name even though I have never heard of it spelt like that. Dakey is an obvious nickname from my surname of Dake whilst my first name is Dennis, spelt with double n unlike the former king Denis Law. I acknowledge your strangely spelt name as people never get my surname correct either as although it is short it is very rare and I often get called Drake, Dale, Dare, Dyke, Duke,(along with any number of other four letter words) etc, anything but Dake. Now I know your name I can get on with ridiculing you along with the rest of the bitter blues for your incomprehensible choice of team to support.

yes we nearly had you there - Barkely is just going to be sensational for England and for Everton if we can keep hold of him. Think the league will go to the wire this year with probably Gunners, Chelski and the Sheiks scrapping it out and four horse race for 4th place - best competition in years as the managerial changes have wreaked havoc. I do think Moyses will get it right at MANU but huge changes are needed with a major clear out required; it could be some time before they reach the summit again. We have a potential bannana skin tomorrow but every match is tough as the teams at the bottom are really scrapping it out now too...............

Jen, your performance last week was one of the best I've seen for a while. Especially in the first half. Unlucky with only the draw really as you could/should have had it won early on. Arsenal are starting to show they have a bit of backbone now though. Going to be an interesting season from now on in. Lots of big games and hardly any easy ones.
