Insurance Price Comparison Website - Save up to 50%
25 August 2011 @ 00:02

A friend of mine recently told me about a Spanish insurance comparison website called acierto.com.  It comapres most of the main insurers in Spain and offers price comparisons for car and motorbike insurance, house insurance, health insurance and life assurance

The website is very user friendly with a very nice and intuitive interface, which is unusual for a Spanish website.  Most Spanish websites are useless.

I had a look at the site earlier on and checked how much I could save on my car insurance.  For my last renewal I paid just under €400 with Liberty Seguros.  The best quote I got on acierto.com was €292, with Linea Directa.  So a saving of around €100, for a couple of minutes effort.

Unfortunately, the website is in Spanish as it is aimed primarily at the Spanish market, but with a reasonable knowledge of Spanish, you should be able to find your way around the site.

Hi we have a holiday home in Spain and keep hiring cars which seems the expensive way and would like to see if buying a car and leaving at the airport is more economical, but obviously do not have a car registration. Is there anyone out there that can give me a general idea if we bought a small car say a Corsa/Cleo 3/4 years old of how much the car insurance would be for a year plus Tax and MOT?

Thanks

Hello to Moira,
First you need a DNI, otherwise you could not buy a car insurance here. If you fly in every weekend then it could be worth it but leaving the car on the airport isnt cheap either so you would need to calculate how much is rental car per year cost you and how much buying a car, paying insurance and parking on the airport would be.

Regards
