Martin. Glad my bum is causing some happiness love .  Fiend in Need I was wondering where your brains were actually. I never thought waiting for a house to be built could be so much fun.

Julie Anne you are slipping it took all of 8 minutes for you to jump out of the wood work.  You are just something to banter with on the dark evenings. You make no difference to me I have said this before but you are so full of your own self pity your almost boring (mind you 4 years is a bit much) i would have thought you would have got a bit further than this seeing as you supposedly know eveything.

Have a nice evening I'm just going to phone AA see you there. Grrr its work tomorrow something else to bide my time until I get to spain.

Hi All,

The update report has gone out to all of the SARC membership and will be posted onto the SARC website ASAP. If there are problems loading it to the site it will be placed onto the SARCO strand for you all to read.

I want to make just one thing very clear and that is that SARC as a purchaser group is not acting for HdT but for purchasers. There are many rumours flying around and some very strange comments and postings that pop up. We enter into dialogue with the MD of the company , ask questions and press for answers  and provide the information that we recieve to our members and then all purchasers to concider. We believe that it is best practice that we have a means to communicate directly with the company and convey our concerns and try to get them addressed.

Sorry I couldn't post till now,my carer dosen't get me out of bed till 4pm but now I'm up and about I thought I'd just share this thought with you.
Its often the case that some folk, when they first arrive in Spain, decide to write a book about their experiences.  You know the sort of thing, “we’ve been over here for nearly a week so we thought we’d put our thoughts and advice down on paper” and they go on to give a real insight on things like: what budget airline they used, is it better to fly into Alicante or San Javier airports, where they rented and how much rent they paid, and of course a list of all the tapas bars  they’ve been to and the kind of vino they like quaffing etc etc.
This is invaluable information for their fellow countrymen who may also be thinking of taking those first teetering steps before deciding to “move abroad.”
It reminds me of when I first ventured over here in 1931... well it was actually by landing craft which we used to surprise a garrison of nationalists who had dug-in just west of La Zenia beach.
Anyway, after 6 days of hand to hand fighting we managed to overcome this very determined and fierce foe, establishing a base camp in what today would be Paddy’s Point!
Soon after this, I along with other comrades, were posted to the remote and unforgiving region of Castilla de La Mancha which, readers will know, was made famous by the adventures of Don Quixote.  This meant we had a route march of some 250 miles in front of us, across the mountains and coping with barren, tinder- dry terrain, so that we could join our respective units
This was, as you will imagine, an arduous and dangerous journey and many of my comrades we’re lost along the way not least because of the 40 degree temperatures that burned down on us unremittingly for 12 hours each and every day.
Eventually, after 4 weeks of marching and climbing, we reached our destination exhausted and starving but still cheerful and as determined as ever to complete our mission and help to secure democracy on behalf of the Spanish people.
By the way, I’m told you can do this self same journey via the A31 from Alicante, in the comfort of your car, in just 35 minutes nowadays!
As most of you will have read, during your preparations before buying a property in Spain the Spanish civil war was a bloody affair and thousands of lives were lost. It’s also a fact that..........

Hi All,

As Twigit placed a rather odd posting that could only push this posting down and this is the IWMH strand I have reposted it.

Don't you just love it:

"I am aware that a lot of lawyers are given to the purchasers some information which is not correct, may be to get some money of them."
Perhaps they are following the lead of some developers who told purchasers that they would have properties in 12 months or so time, and show an increase in value, just to get some money from them.

One rule for one, one rule for another?

Ahhhh Twigit .......( can any of you twigit yet????)

A man of local knowledge, Paddy's Point - La Zenia beach...........however the latter only being created within the last 30yrs my dear friend, as that with Playa Flamence due North of the beach therefore all those years ago would have been barren sand mass. I bet even then if you dug-in, your tents or garrison would be prime for ''land-grab" lol

Keep up the amusing posts, brings a ray of sunshine to a very dull world at present

I've twigged it

Dear twiget, please do finish your tale of adventure and Spanish history it was most interesting although you seemed to stop half way through the story .  It was far more amusing than Tony's post  and made far more sense although in  both the  attention to fact was a little wayward , please do finish .By my calculations you must be at least 112  a surprisingly good  age for an Englishman exposed to far too much sun, and the dangers of the Spanish Civil War .Must be down to the  healthy Mediterranean diet I presume.JA

Hi All,

Just a little reminder that this is, surprise, surprise, THE I WANT MY HOUSE  thread and although your happy jests have a place in the forum, perhaps making posts just to push any positive news down is not so amusing.

I was talking to a couple the other day, in Pedro’s bar, they told me that they too are buyers on yonder housing estate. However, because they’re both in their mid-eighties they fear that they will be dead before they can move in to their dream home and so instead they’ve decided to renovate an old cave house, situated on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Of course I told them they were talking tosh and that they have years ahead of them and that I had absolute confidence that their house would be built well before they went to that great housing estate in the sky.
I’m sure that they will now........

Oh! once again, sorry Tony ole lad, promise I wont post anymore til your report has been read by all concerned and the doubters at last see the light.
Keep going ole lad, bet you sometimes feel you're fighting in the civil war!

I have to say im warming to you twigit me old buffer.

You remind me of my grandad who had many WW1 experiences and when a teacher at school once asked me to tell a story that had a moral to it...... i quoted me old grandad in the trenches.

He was faced with a full squad of 50 germans, and all that he was left with was 7 bullets, a bayonet, and a bottle of whisky.

Looking round he downed the bottle of whisky, shot 7 germans and stood up and charged the rest of em, bayoneting every last one.....

My teacher said wow thats brave.....now whats the moral of that story

and having thought for a few seconds i said..........dont f*** about with my grandad when he's piss*d

Plus.....any nonsense i can read that keeps me away from Tony's nonsense has to be good.......whats the moral to that one?

Hi Briando,

Yup I think that  being in a virtual civil war is a bit daft and it is nice that twigit post such well written imaginitive pieces. They most certainly give us a brake from the arguing and mud slinging and possibly can help us all rediscover our sense of humour and laugh together and at ourselves. That is the best thing to do whilst we wait to see if SADM will go ahead or not. Me I think it will go ahead and that we will get a chance to have our homes......." we will fight them on the beaches.....".

The report does have interesting and helpful information in it and there will be another one due after tomorrow

I WANT MY HOUSE

The  I WANT MY HOUSE  campaign appears to be being suggested to other purchasers on developemnts with problems to take up by uniting to fight for their properties.

I have posted the article on its own thread with thanks to all who have said  I WANT MY HOUSE
