Vitamin B to stop mosquito bites
16 May 2010 @ 14:12

I have found Vitamin B tablets to be a great mosquito repellent, and significantly reduce the number and size of the mosquito bites I get.

We had our first mosquito of the year last week.  I used to dread the arrival of the little beasts as I tend to get bitten all over and when I'm bitten, the bites come up in huge blotches, which are very itchy.  I had tried all sorts of different things to stop the mosquitos biting me.  I've tried mosquito repellent and all sorts of different liquid and tablet plugins.  None of them worked for me personally.  Someone told me about vitamin B as a way to stop mosquito bites.  I was sceptical at first, but a few days after starting to take them, I noticed I only got the odd bite, and when I did get a bite, it was just a tiny little spot, rather than a huge itchy blotch.  I find I only need to take one tablet every 2 days and I'm fully protected.

I'm not sure about the science behind this, but it works for me.  You can get 180 Vitamin B complex tablets from Asda for around £2.50.
