someone had to come down and educate them , then i fell in love with publicans daugther (or the idea of getting pub in the will) . btw i did`nt get the pub. but i got the daugther and got the best deal !!!!!!!

I have heard the expression "when the caravan's rocking, don't come knocking", but this puts a different "slant" on things!
I had a lovely day yesterday, went to my Mum's in Peacehaven, near Brighton, it was her 84th birthday.
After losing my Dad in Oct 2005, we make sure we do something special on certain dates for her.
We went to the local Toby Carvery and had a lovely roast lunch at £3.50 a head!
Can't beat that for value eh!
My Daughter did the driving , we are about hour & half away, so a lovely day all round.
Can't wait to be able to drive again though (6/8 weeks after my op is the rule), I am a nervous passenger, need to be in control!
But that's us women eh?!

It was my son's teacher's birthday on Sunday and we meant to buy her a little present at the weekend, but totally forgot. So Sunday morning, getting ready for school, we remembered her birthday! Fortunately, I had a card for her and then remembered I had a lovely boxed, lavender scented candle that I had got in a local handicraft shop, but which I had never used and it was in the cupboard. So I got that out and told Jake he could give Miss Fielding the candle.
When I picked him up from school, on the way home I asked him if he had given his teacher her present and he said "Yes, she really liked it, and I told her we found it in the cupboard"!!!!
I nearly went up the back of the car in front!!!

Ok, ok!! What thread about what kids say???? Being out of touch for three weeks left me totally flummoxed!! Can't recall all the info here - and I've trawled through it!!
What have I missed or can't recall?? It's that vino tinto - diminishes the brain cells you know!!
