Good luck to David and Janet and all others who are going to make a stand against the no pool. Phase 1 is looking good and has an excellent build quality / finish, I do not understand why Taray are being so reluctant on building the pool. All the bad publicity will stop people from completeing on phase 1 &2, bad business sense from Taray.
San Cayetano is in one of the most desired areas and could be very rewarding for those who have bought there, if only Taray have the will and desire to complete what was promised.

Good luck with your meeting with taray when you go to spain.
The reason Taray are reluctant to build a pool is because they do not own the land where it is being built and have no permissions.
When we purchased 2 years ago Taray were building the pool and sports complex, then all of a sudden last year it was the council building it.
If a pool(s) ever gets built it is a long way off.

dont u think its a bit bizare that taray say they dont own the land where the pool etc is supposed to be when they seem to own all the land around or do they it seems a bit to convienent for me , we also have the dvd in the land of dreams well i want the other half of my dream completeing

I contacted our solicitor about the pool. This was the reply.
The pool that is to be built is a public pool and sports facilities. It depends on the townhall and the delay is caused by the townhall, as they have not yet delivered the building license.
I have spoken with Taray about this situation. The builder will wait until end of this year. If the townhall has not yet given the building license for this project, Taray is planning to build a pool themselves, for the residents of San Cayetano as they do not want to have the urbanisation without a pool.
This is the current situation at this stage.
I am waiting for further update.

Thanks for the information Cammy, at least that is something a little more positive, if what Taray say is correct.
However, does that mean that there will still be a further delay at the end of the year whilst Taray then apply for the licence? If so why can't they apply for it now? as it seems that they are prepared to build the pool if the Council don't do anything about it by the end of the year.
If the Council get to know that Taray will build the pool in any event, it is unlikely they will go ahead and build it ,as it will save them the cost of doing so.
Also, when they say they will build the pool for the residents of San Cayetano, do they mean the residents our urbanisation, or will it still be a public pool to include the village and other members of the public?

If Taray are operating with integrity why not put the situation and the future intentions into writing, instead of all this third party information non of which has been consistent so how can it all be true? We all deserve to be kept updated by these builders and I am sure it would not be too much to ask to have a personal letter of their pledge to us. Anyone travelling over soon could suggest they do so, after all, verbal reassurances mean nothing at all so lets have their statement in writing. Can anyone help? Thanks Widds

The land belongs to the Town Hall. Taray cannot say they will build the pool because
1. They do not own the land
2. They have no planning permission to do so.
If they build the pool it would have to be on land they own, but they would still need planning permission.
This situation will not be resolved quickly.

Hi all. All gone quiet re pool and facilities! Hope not. Spoke to our irish agent tonight. They finallly admit that Taray misled everyone. Rumour now is that decision has already been made by council as to what is going in, We think Taray know the outcome but dont want it announced until everyone completes! whatever happens everyone: PLEASE DONT COMPLETE until this is sorted. Value of average property drops by 30% to 40% without the facilities! And those who have completed, please get involved. Its in your interest too. This is the most important issue ever to be sorted on this site! Never mind restaurants and radio signals!

We are all being had over here and only some of us seem to know whats going on! Or is it that we are the only few that care about losing 30 - 40k sterling !! Please lets all get involved and show some collective support here . We can sort this if we act as a community. please show some support on this thread this really wont happen with out us all doing something.

Just a wee note to say that Taray have some houses for sale in Torre Alcantara in Balsicas with a great pool and great developement if anybody wants to change developement have a word with Taray then you dont have to wait for ever for the pool that probably will never be built.

We are also waiting for a reply from our Solicitors (two weeks). We sent Finn a pm about two weeks ago voicing our concerns and support. Taray must not be allowed to get away with this. If it happened in England the contractors would be taken to the cleaners.
We completed on our penthouse in phase one in January 2007 having paid in full. What a bitch! We chose San Cayetano because of its brochure and its promised facilities. Still like the area very much but are massively disappointed in Taray's attitude.
Helder, we all know you read this forum and ultimately you are a nice bloke but we are nice people collectively and deserve more consideration and respect from the Company you represent.
Maybe we should all insist on some kind of recompense from Tary if we are definitely not getting a pool. I understand that this will require a collective voice and funds and I think we should consider arranging to set up a Committee in the not too distant future to consider these facts. If we all REALLY want this pool it looks as if are going to have to stand up and be counted. Mouths and money should be the order of the day.

Hi All, we also have a lovely 3 bed house on the Torre Alcantara development in Balsicas which is for sale at the moment. So if you don't want all the hassle of the fight with Taray come and have a look at ours. Its fully furnished and the development is coming together really nicely. If you want further details let me know or have a look on the property for sale section. Just think no more waiting for the next phase to be built. It could be yours in a matter of weeks. We are also willing to negotiate on the price if necessary.

Hi All
I've emailed my solicitor (Aldeas) recommended by Parador last week, they are waiting for copy of my contract which I will forward for a quote of the legal fees (phase 1 which was cancelled last week, money transferred to phase 2). I've also emailed Maria de Castron about the Taray's scam. I suppose Taray's excuse will be "the pool will be built in 2009 on phase 2, I am jumping the gun. Since they'e had over 40K plus interest of my money in sterling since 2006, they are not going to refund me in a hurry or anybody else. times are hard for me as I am on maternity leave, I can't see Taray handing over my money till 2009 and beyond without a fight from myself.
There is no principles, honour and honesty when it come down to it. The best form of advertisement (free of course) is to tell everyone about Taray and their lies that way others will not have to go through the hassle like us.
Yes we should as a collective do something about this problem. I will look elsewhere to buy once I get my money back (when ever that is).

Hi all, we need to find out how many of us out there have not paid the full amount yet only deposits, the reason for this is i want to calcalate how much monies taray are waiting on so we can see what it is worth to them. I have a deposit on a pent house of 76000 euro and on a bunglow of 36000 euro + 3000 which i paid on viewing. I will have to give them approx 220000 euro more what about all you. How many Millon are they waiting for. Not every one who has bought there knows about this talk site so any one who is over there living or just for a visit (again) please let your neighours know what is happening. For give the spellings , just in from a hard days work!.

we are supposed to be completing on a Quad at the end of this month so have still to pay the main part of the money. I am really concerned about the pool. This is the reply received from our solicitor on 4/7:
'I have asked Taray about the swimming-pool but they don´t exactly know when the townhall will give them them authorisation to start building it but they are expecting it soon. tarya will build but the management and maintenance will bhe carried out by the townhall.'
I am asking her where we stand legally if we refuse to complete until we have a definite confirmation date of this being built - I think it may be a good idea for all of us due to complete ask this question and collectively we may be more effective.

Not wanting to divert from the pool issue but could we just widen the discussion slightly.
Has anyone actually spoke to Taray recently? We complete at the end of July and have, over the last few weeks, swopped emails with banks, solicitors, agents, shops (and received some excellent customer service) .....but nothing from Taray.
We reverted to the web only to find that www.taray.es appears to be no more and so we searched on www.google.es
In amongst the usual we came across 'Murcia Confidential' and a report dated june 20th. Translated it talks of Bailiffs alledgedly taking from the Torre Pacheco planning offices files relating to both Polaris World and Taray. It goes on to speak of the matter being dealt with in secret and to respect the work of the judiciary.
The question is ...is there a link with the pool issue? The council now finishing off communal areas on the development, the ownership of the land where the pool was initially going to be sited! Can anyone throw further light on this.
The last thing we want to be is scaremongers but as many of you have said we have all got so much tied up in this.
