Widds thats really kind but honestly i made a total of a few calls..... i feel im getting far too much credit. i think people have visions of me marching around with a clipboard demanding answers at the townhall when all ive done is make a few calls over a cup of tea and neighbours!!

Anyway there is a meeting with residents and taray on Friday regarding all this. Helder will let people know this week. 

its good paulobrien also has confirmation from Helder and hopefully we will all get it in writing Friday, fingers crossed!!

p.s before i thought teresa had said the leisure area as well but i may have misunderstood. I understand now the pool asap but the other leisure facilities after. I went to see leisure facilities at balsicas as i think theres are finished now and looks good but ours i think will be on a larger scale as there are alot more residents!!

Is it true there will be a restaurant next to the swimming pool?

Someone did mention a restaurant but may have meant a bar serving tapas. Wont be long now!! Once it gets started in Feb im sure it will be finished quickly enough. 

Have you noticed next to the school the council have started building a dining room and nursery. One minute a digger arrived and the next its bricked, roofed etc......the same for phase 2, ive noticed they are already tiling the insides of the townhouses, once started it goes by quickly. i think the same will happen for the pool. Any  skinny dippers around that would dare these winter chills?  Supposed to get cold from Tues!!! Brrrrrrrrrrr

I heard a restaurant but cannot remember where i heard that. I was not sure there would be enough space on that area.

is it not better that we don't have a pool??

think about it- a shared pool? pay as you go? I think there is a need for some additional community facility however; a shared pool ......not!

do you really want to be a part of the summer tourist season? tripers....loud...holiday makers rentals, the we who care not brigade. if we stop and look at the sucessful developments- residential wise....do they have a community pool? I think not! I do agree that we were to an extent  sold a dream- full of promise 'buy and be happy in the knowledge Taray will provide' the agents were very good at what they did, and of course they are now reaping their rewards of only unemployment if their lucky. good luck to them I say; what goes around comes around. But think wise my fellow Cayetanoens this is no longer a sprint, if we can carve a lifestyle based on the Spanish village we will all be better off.............residential, residential, residential.

If I bought a new car from a dealer, that was to a high specification....let us say...metallic paint, heated seats, cruse control, etc..etc..etc...you get the general idea.

But when I went to pick it up, it was a two year old fleet car...I would not be happy that I was not getting what I had paid for...so my question is...

Why do you think it's OK to embrace the fact that we are not going to get what we paid for...a Communal Swimming Pool, tennis courts, Golf driving range...etc etc. Your attitude confuses me.....the only explanation that comes to mind is that you could have a different agenda to the rest of the community. Do you perhaps work for Taray?

Chaleef, this as got to be a wind up, or maybe your out of your mind. Who would pay for something then hope that it is not supplied. The general consensious is yes we all do want the communal pool. Maybe you have just bought on the wrong developement or maybe the wrong Country. Who wouldn't want a cooling dip when the weather is very hot in peak season. Oh sorry yes you Chaleef.

Not everyone is buying for residential! I need the facilities for holidays and we all need the facilities or our properties will be worthless!

My sentiments entirely.

I think Chaleef is from another planet. If he wanted residential he has bought in the wrong place.

Has he not read this thread. We have been fighting for 9 months to get the pool complex built. I don't think he will get much support here.

If he is a puppet orchestrated by Taray, do you think it is their way of telling us the pool won't be built?
