Excellent news. I wish Taray would inform residents/buyers of what is happening regarding San Cayetano when they do finally get some good news.

A business colleague has told me the pool should take around 12 weeks to construct. The deeper the pool the longer the concrete should be left to cure. He has had a leisure pool built in his holiday complex and that is the time scale they had to work to. So 3 months after Taray start pouring the concrete start pouring yourself in to your cozi.

Hi everyone.....I am informed the dimensions will be as follows -

Covered pool - 20 metres x 9 metres

Kids pool - 10 metres x 6 metres

Also, I am due to be sent a password and user name for the "owners club" section of the Taray website, they have advised me that this section is not yet complete, but this is where all the latest updates and progress will eventually be posted......I will let you all know when I get this and had a look.

Andy

Many thanks Andy for all your hard work on our behalf.

At least I get a positive feeling that things are now moving in the right direction.  When the whole thing is finished we won't know ourselves!  Must buy a new swimming costume!  Look forward to receiving details of the Owners section on the Taray website.

Again many thanks - you' ve made my day.

Pinot

To echo others, thanks to those who are keeping us all informed.  Still waiting for my password to the Owner's section of the site, promised 3 weeks ago by Taray but as long as one of us gets theirs and is happy to update the rest of us that'll do for me!

Sue & David,      enjoy yourselves next week.  Keith is coming over tomorrow and intends a first visit to the Rose & Thistle (so long as he finds his way back out again we should be OK!!!)

Hey guys.............. no worries, I havnt done anything for a while now, Andy is doing a good job and we all need to do our bit when it suits and when we can to keep on the case.

What i will say is we are going back to the council office very soon as we want a confirmation from them AS WELL  that the license has actually been granted!

I now have access to the owners club section....as previously said, its not yet complete, but I have taken this quote from there -

Dear Customers

Taray is glad to announce that in March Torrepacheco"s council granted Taray a concesion to build and manage the leisure area in San Cayetano. Here you have the plan of the complex which will be called Enjoy Taray Center. As soon as we have further information we will update it in this section.

Best regards.

This statement sits below a full scale plan of the site (same as the one erected on site)

Taray can still not commit to a start date yet, as they are still awaiting an external report from somebody at Torre Pacheco......dont blame me guys....im just the messenger !.....but they say it should be very shortly after the Easter holiday.

Andy

Andy,

I think your efforts on behalf of S.C. people is unquestionable, as are Tina's, therefore I think you should consider the statement that includes "external report .....from somebody" . It rates pretty high in the b......t  scale and should not be interpreted wrongly, in my opinion. Taray have told me nothing but untruths for two years and you get used to it after a while. The leisure area was, for me,  a deciding factor 2 years ago but I have learned to love the the area regardless, pool or no pool.

I also appreciate Andys efforts... ALOT!

Taray had a meeting with us in November telling us they were still waiting for one final license and that it was due anyday now. WRONG. According to the architects office at the Torre pacheco council the application had only been put in END of OCT 08, so of course  it was never going to be granted anyday soon and there was never any way it would start in January as promised. It also begs the question what was all that crap about in the summer meeetings with Taray....... at that point they hadnt even put in the application to the council but we were being told if  the council didnt grant it soon they would change the location of the pool. WHAT??????????????   What an insult.

Here we are now in April and soon it will be May blah blah.

Maybe Andy is on to something and I hope something comes of  his efforts. Thanks Andy yr a trooper!

On a positive note they have cleared the area and put up the plans so I cannot deny its a step in the right direction.

According to the council Taray now have to wait for a certain time period to give certain people a chance to object to the plans! Our understanding is the council have to write to these people first and depending on the outcome depends on the time period taray need to wait.

Absolute horses..t!! Who is going to object and what right do they have to object anyway? Did these people not see the plans 3 years ago? It would appear to be perfectly obvious that Taray have run out of money and are cultivating even more stalling tactics.I would have a little more respect for them, though not much, if they came clean and admitted there is a problem with money. It really pisses me off that they churn out this crap and expect me/us to believe it!

On a lighter note, it's a lovely day here in Surrey.

Anonymously yours,

Colin.

No, I think  the council by law have to give cartain people a chance to object, the same as in the UK with extensions etc. They had a list of names some recognisable (wont say who on the open site hehe) others not but I think this part is out of tarays control. However taray would have certainately known that this is part of the process and would have to be done!!! So the question is, why wasnt the process started years ago?

If the process had been started years ago and was all approved but still not done i would be very worried BUT i think the fact the application is in now (appliaction stamped, copy seen by hubby) it still gives room for hope that altho heavily and annoyingly delayed and horse shittingly delayed as colin says,  just maybe, JUST MAYBE its getting there!! Dont get me wrong tho Colin alot of us are as pissed off as you as you well now!

Now go and get a cup of tea, chill and enjoy your sunny day!! Its boiling here today, shorts, tshirts and perhaps a bit of skinny dipping in a neighbours pool when they are not looking xxxxxxxx

Speak soon

Strewth - never read a truer word.  And you are absolutely right it is a lovely day in Surrey!!

First of all I would like to thank all the people who live in San Cayetano for "fighting our corner" on this.  Secondly, I have to agree with your comments.  If Taray had built the complex as promised three years ago (when all the plans were available and, to my knowledge passed) we would all have been saved a great deal of trouble.  In my view Taray are in breach of contract as everything promised to us when we initially put down our deposit for our properties has not been forthcoming.

Is there no-one in Taray we can hold accountable for this?  Would an official complaint to the local council do anything?  Taray, to my knowledge, are never happy if anyone asks for a complaints form to take to the council!

Only ideas - might be barking up the wrong tree but surely something can be done?

The plans could never have been passed 3 yrs ago. The application was only put in last OCT08. We were shown the application by the planning office at the council dated and stamped Oct 08. Approved and stamped March 11th 09.

Tina, I will try and keep my hopes up but only because you think I should. I admire your optimism and will try to share it. How profound am I? LOL.

Pinot,  I like the idea of sticking it to Taray via official sources, if only to give them something else that they have to deal with. Even those arrogant, pompous nerds in the Taray office cannot ignore officialdom. Tina is still hopeful about things so I believe we owe it to her at least to have a chat before anything else is done. We are back in SC in about three weeks and the pool will obviously be a matter for much discussion. Will let you know of any progress.

I am going to take Tina's advice and go and sit in the sun with a cup of tea and read my book entitled "How to Stiff Taray". (Just kidding).

Colin
