Hi Andy,

No offence, just having a laugh. On a serious note, I don't believe anything Taray say anymore, I've been let down too many times these past 2yrs+ with regard to the pool, etc. My biggest gripe is, they think I believe their b......t.

Taray have now erected a large board on the pool site giving an artists impression of what the layout of the leisure facilities will be like.

No mention of any start or completion date though.......

.....but at least it's another step in the right direction.

Will have to get back to you on that one............... cant flippin remember. It wasnt someone at Taray, it was a resident who had spoken to Taray! But you know what chinese whispers are like, starts like this

The pool will be open to every Tom Dick and Harry and will cost 200euros a season ticket.

then after its passed thru 3 people it ends like this....

The pool is only for people living in a 20metre radius and is completely free of charge forever.

We have it on good authority (Helder), that the pool is going to be 2 metres long, 1 metre wide and 6 metres deep with a pool, tapas bar at one end.

UPDATE -

I had a meeting with Antonio (director of taray) from San Javier office.

He advised me of the following, the Licence that was due to be granted on 26th February WAS granted by the town hall. Taray & the town hall have a meeting this Wednesday, when the 30 day period of consulation is over. They expect then to be allowed to srart the building process.

During this 30 period (that has just passed), they have cleared the land, and tested the ground, they have not found any problems that may hold up building.

He also advised that the plan will be to complete the pool area first with an expected timescale of 2 months, this should then be ready in plenty of time for the summer holidays. Then they will commence work on the remainder of the project, with a further 2 to 3 months expected for this phase.

He has promised to call me later in the week, to let me know the outcome of this meeting on Wendesday, where he hopes to give me a start date for all the work.

Sorry Tina...I forgot to ask dimensions of the pool, but have e mailed him and will post the details later.

To be fair, this timescale does exactly match with what I was told in mid February, so lets all keep our fingers (and bum cheeks Tina) crossed.

And before anyone snipes at me....I was just trying to get information for everyone and took time out of my busy day to do this.

Andy
