Can't you people be positive I have been reading mainly those still in the UK about the pool for long enough Taray said they will start in the new ear it only 15 days old for pity's sake give it a rest or come out and go face to face with Taray and stop spreading rumors, I have been to the meetings with Taray and they have said it is the council holding them back so lets be positive and give them a chance.

I have been watching EOS for about 18 months now...and until the stupid comments made by Chaleef on an earlier post, I was quite content to just observe and wait.

Unfortunately his inflammatory comments....(and I suggest that you might like to read them again)....resurrected this thread.

I have been to Taray's office and had so called talks with them...(although funnily enough nobody at the office spoke English on the day of my meeting, although they were forewarned that I did not speak Spanish and had flown over especially for the meeting....how convenient....)

What have we got to be positive about....I have been lied to by Taray throughout this whole sorry saga....we are not spreading rumours, the pool has not been built yet...fact!....Taray did not own the land it was be built on, the council do...fact! 

Now I suggest that you stop poking me with a stick....we are not you people, we are your neighbors we did plan to move out there full time at the beginning of last year...but alas we have been let down by Taray in so many ways.....

We have been told this morning, that there will be a public meeting in February when the plans for the pool complex will be on display.

No guanantee that the pools will be available for the summer was forthcoming

but

the plans  are  for the two pools to be covered and both heated so that they can be used all the year round.

Just to let you know the plans for the new swimming pool area have been released. Two swimming pools, one is for kids and is open air, the other adult and is covered in the winter with a sliding roof opening for the summer, it is also heated. The plans also show a cafe and the other sports areas such as driving range. Looks very good, now lets hope they get a move on with it!!!

Thanks for information regarding the new plans for the pools  - that is very reassuring.  Where are they being built?  I am definitely going to see big changes in San Cayetano when I come out at Easter - can hardly wait. 

Keep up the good work of letting us know what is happening out there - really enjoy reading all the various comments on EOS. 

Exorbitant electricity bills are posing me a problem at the moment but I have taken this up with my solicitor.  Heard from Tracy (Rose & Thistle) that I am not alone in this!!

Don't think the following will make me a whiner but......

I spoke with Helda (?) from Taray a couple of hours ago as we are wanting to complete asap - asked about the pool, apparently they are waiting for "one more license" - I found this comment strange as I had believed that everyting was in place and ready to go. Apparently they should get this next week (but we'll see!!)

I have also asked my solicitor to contact Helda directly so I'll let you know what she finds out.

Also apparently next week the LFO for Manaza 5 will be issued.... (obviously next week will be a busy week).

And also the value of the propoerties on SC has not gone down.

I really want to believe all of the above but ..........

Yes i was told about the license. It was supposed to be issued in decemeber I think. This is typical Spain. The licensed certificate probably needs a stamp to confirm the first 80 stamps are valid. When yr in the UK its hard to see how the spanish system works but when your here nothing suprises you. No ones in a hurry and trying to investivate anything is more frustrating then bum piles.

Anyway its all a step in the right direction. The plans dont fool me tho, altho im happy and they look great i will not rest untill i see the digger take its first bite! Believe me I will be next to the digger with my bucket and spade helping things move on a little faster! Up for it with me Donna, i have a little plastic yellow spade with your name on it!

Vienna - are you sure you saw Helder today?  I have been trying to get him to answer emails and telephone calls for days and have been told he is on holiday.  Something funny there!

Just let me know please if it was definitely Helder you spoke to.

Hi Tina,where are the plans for the pool,are they in the sales office or with Helder or in the office in San Javier??Wouldnt mind seeing them.Was gonna stop and ask you earlier when you were sitting out in the sun(what a glourious day),but didnt cause of fear of being stamped,lol.

I went to see Helder yesterday to have a look at the plans myself (they are with Helder in his office - Steve & Anita) and like Tina says, they do look fab. The covered heated pool will have a retractable roof and the smaller kiddies pool is just open.

The area will be fenced and the entrance is almost opposite where the apartments pool is now. I took the liberty of making the suggestion of artificial grass around the pool area (outside) because of the problems with the mud caused by real grass. Helder said he would make the recommendation but thought that maybe they had already planned to have it anyway.

He was unable to give an indication of the costs but did say that it would be vastly reduced for home owners. I have asked Helder to email a copy of the plans to me and once he does then I will put them on the site.

Work should start around May time (ish - this is Spain) and is scheduled to take 4-5 months to complete. The extra license which they are waiting for is a formality but as Tina says manana, manana, manana!

I know someone who went to the council offices yesterday. The man in the planning department said there was no hold ups from there end. Maybe this is a lie but one or the other is lying. Who Taray or the Council?

We need a meeting with Taray or we just sit back and in May be told it will start in Sept. Then in Sept be told january.... get the drift. The next meeting needs to be filmed by someone.

Dont get me wrong im excited about the plans and feel positive. Then again I was excited back last year  when we were told the pool would start in january. Its January, nothings started. So now we wait till May. May comes and again what if nothing starts. I feel like a mushroom.... fed shit and kept in the dark. (Not by Helder but by others at taray).

I am going to the council myself to find out there point of view regarding this hold up. Will post my findings. If anyone else feels they are up to the job of visiting the council in Torre Paceaco then go for it also. The technical office is literally 10mtres around the corner from the police station. Next to where you get yr car tax from. The women at the desk will try and fob you off, JUST PERSIST!!!!!

When I went to see my solicitor in December I had got her to make some enquiries about the pool.

She told me that Taray were still waiting for one more Licence. So I think there could be some truth in it.

We have arranged a meeting with the council where i am told they will confirm there is no license to be had. I have arranged for two other people to come along and hear this also so it doesnt rest with us.

I have been involved in a few things now regarding the spanish system. How have Taray advertised all the facilities without everything already stamped and licenses in place. It doesnt ring true.

Was speaking with a spanish resident today also who confirmed it doesnt make any sense that they can advertise such facilities without approval already in place.

I would like to add that i do believe that the facilities will get done, what i dont like is the lies about the constant delays. In May I would like to be in a position where WE as a community have the truth so that if the facilities do not start we can make a decision about how to move forward!

One more thing i forgot. whilst talking to this spanish resident he said that at the meeting when it was translated into spanish after the english they said, everything is now in place READY to start in january. That was the spanish version of events. He said never any mention of any more licenses.

If the council confirm that Taray do not need more licenses to proceed can we consider press coverage to put the pressure on?

I think lets see what the council have got to say first and what they are willing to put in writing. Verbally its been made clear enough but we need in writing.

Tina I have a message from a Taray buyer. 

You are better to just represent yourself and the the few others willing to work with you. Last year I went to the council and was told the same information. All the licenses have already been issued. When I tried to get the support of the community to all help with taking on Taray, there was nothing. Do it for you and let the others look after themselves they will only resent you for finding the truth. I am currently after a part refund. I changed my solicitor as my previous were definately in the pockets of Taray. Now I have an independent solictor who believes I have a case for a part refund. GOOD LUCK.
