Woo hoo - I love seeing new pictures!!  Just wish we had the chance to see it in the flesh.  The last time we went to the development, only the foundations were up.

Hi All

We have just received an email from Palmera Properties telling us that they can not confirm that Palmera is fitting any wardrobes in the apartments - I know some of you have been given other information about this - can you let me know where that came from.  I have a feeling they are picking and choosing what they are agreeing to for different people,

thanks

Kerrie

Hi all & welcome to the new names.

Many thanks for the new piccies, some interesting snaps there. It's always hard to determine the actual size of the rooms from a photograph, so can anyone, who has been out there, give a rough guesstimate of lounge sizes. Just to kill off some curiosity of mine. It's been a while now and i'm getting withdrawl symptoms. things have certainly moved along (albeit slowly) since the earlier pictures where taken.

Regards

skinner (Dave)

Hi, Dave, Last time we went out we got into our apartment which is on the top floor and it is a 2 bedroom apartment and we paced out the rooms and a quite accurate size of the lounge was 6.96 metres in length and 2.9 metres in width, but in ours because we are on the top floor some of that is taken up with the spiral staicase to the roof. The bathroom measures 2.03 metres by 2.32, the main bedroom is3.19 metres square and the kitchen is 2.03 by 3.19. we didnt get the sizes for the ensuite but it is not much different to the other bathroom. Hope this helps

Hi blacksmith.

Many thanks for the info, it sounds like a reasonable size, certainly comfortable enough for a couple of weeks here and there. Of course they will all differ slightly in size, but it is good to get a general idea, as i haven't been over since the deposit, it helps me greatly to visualise.

any more for any more ;-)

Regards from

Dave

Thanks Blacksmith for the room sizes..  I have posted a photo of the lounge showing where the spiral staircase will be positioned.  Has anyone seen an apartment with the spiral staircase to the roof terrace already fitted?

Hello again, When we went into our apartment the staircase was already fitted, although not very well. It is a plain light gauge stepped affair with a round tube handrail. It does wobble a bit, so if you are carrying your beers up it you could end up spilling them. I'm sure once it is painted and finished it will be fine. We do have a photo of it somewhere, I will have to look at it to see if it suitable for posting. The staircase leds up to the roof through a concrete box with a steel door with a yale type lock, it looks quite strong, which will help if the flat is left empty for any time.

Hi Blacksmith great to hear about the spiral staircase. Hope they sort the wobble though! I dont think we would spill any beer going up but dont fancy coming down a wobbly staircase AFTER a few beers!

      Cheers JPD (John &Trish)

For anyone who has kitchens on their Contract

Have just been on the phone to Grupo Urbasa regarding the kitchens.  Laura is on holiday until 24th October but spoke to a lady called Ainhoa.  I asked her to confirm that we would be getting a kitchen because I had heard that no kitchens were going to be installed in Amarion III.  She confirmed that no one is getting a kitchen and then quoted a price for putting one in.  I then told her that we have a kitchen listed in our Contract which has been signed by the builder and ourselves.  After getting her copy out she said that there is no kitchen on her duplicate copy of our contract -(the plot thickens).  Well I said it is on mine.  She is now very confused, I told her I don't think I am the only one who has a kitchen on the contract.  I am going to fax her a copy of our contract tomorrow and she is going to check it out. I will let you know the outcome.

I have been through all this with Palmera about two months ago they said they didn't have kitchens on the spec for the building, so I faxed our copy to them and they agreed we were correct and they would contact the builder but as every we heard nothing.  Seeing (we hope) that the build will start again shortly I think it is best to sort this out now and hopefully get it in writing that the kitchen will go in now, not after we have refused to sign, which is the advice we got from Palmera.  I don't think anyone will want to go down that road if it can be avoided.

Hi Kudos where does it say about your kitchen in the contract? Can you speak Spanish? Our translated copy isn't as long as the Spanish version so we just took their word and signed! there is no mention of wardrobes either But we as some other of us buyers were led to believe  were getting those too, weren't we! Hope you get somewhere with your kitchen!

Why is it so random that some apartments have kitchens and the others don't.  It's like a lottery - just luck of the drawer whether you got one or not.  There is just no logic to it.

Answers on a post card please.........
