Torreguadiaro and La Línea have great tapas places. Algeciras ( my town) too!

In Torreguadiaro

La Verandah

Pura Tapa

In Puerto Sotogrande:

Bokana

Don Diego

Midas

In Guadiaro:

La Terraza de Teo

There are others as well but these are my favourites.

When travelling around in Spain (or anywhere really) we like to "gamble" and simply check out a place based on what we see and feel.We have had some great results and 1 or 2 not so good but it is part of the adventure

A few times we have gone to places that have been recommend or used reviews on web and often they don't live up etc.

Whatever you choose have fun

Tadd is there anything you don’t know all about. Imagine having to sit next to you at the Christmas party.

I second all those that Lobin has mentioned (save for Midas, which I haven't tried) and would add these:

Also in Torreguadiaro:

Cancha Tapa,

Inboca

Enoteca (organic food and wine - excellent!)

Trasmaillo (fish mostly)

Also in Sotogrande Port:

Diletto (excellent)

And some chiringuitos in Sotogrande/Torreguadiaro:

Chambao

Bahia Limon

Gigis (other side of the port towards Gibraltar).

There are also some excellent tapas bars in La Linea not far from the border, but I can't remember the names!!  You will have many to choose from. smiley

In Sabinillas I recommend La Posa. It's on the paseo, next to the car park, at the Duquesa end.
