Is 40€ the true cost of running a/c  for 7 days? If so, I can now understand why the 'bills' are so high and why the 'residents and renters' want us ' nons'  to pay so much.

Are we take it from your comment "checking out the competition" victor, that you rent out your property? If this is so then it is you as a non payer who is doing the fleecing

Just encouraging debate.

As I have said many times. Pay for what you use.

you obviously apply this "pay for what you use" rule to everyone but yourself if you rent out your property and as you never tire of telling us  you are a non-payer.

I wonder if you are aware of the new law in Spain brought into force this week. If you are a holiday rental landlord you will have to apply for a licence and pay a fee. Or will you refuse to pay this also?

Just to add to the debate of cost. Because I/we now find it impossible to live in El Pinet lack of electric, water, tv, information etc. We rent a flat in the UK, as all our money is tied up in the EP property. The good news is, it costs us £40 a month for gas, electric and water. And people in the UK think they are being riped off!

So why is it costing sooo much for electric etc. The mark up must be something to do with it by SJ?

Oh its coming on to rain again, still we can keep warm and have a nice cuppa and watch the Grand Prix

Also, if a person / family has rented a property on EP for 2 weeks in the summer and paid 40€ / week  for using the air-con you can bet they WILL use it  in order to get value for money.

so when you rent your property out to holiday makers victor, do you pay for what they use or do you take their money and let us pay for what they use?

Wrong.

I have never expected to be subsidised by anyone. In the early days of PROMISES I took them (SJ) at their word and overpaid in relation to my consumption thinking we would have CoH soon and that I was helping.  I soon realised they are like politicians and completely UNTRUSTWORTHY. It was also a joke when the so called elected committee (which should not yet exist as it creates problems decided to try and rip non res' for 60 / m).  It is they (SJ) who are in breach, yet they have used every trick in the book to con people into the present situation.

Hope you enjoyed the GP 9 Palms. Alonso losing was the best bit.

You can say that again about Alonso, shame MS didn't take him out.

I have been paying as a non resident without question, don't know why now. Specially as SJ took cash when we bought. I am coming round to the thinking of what would happen if I didn't pay the community charge anymore? There is no feed back from meetings and the money is going towards the electric I'm sure! The residence are running a private club?

I am even of the thought of just walking away. But then they have won.

it's a simple straight forward question Victor, who pays for the electric and water at your property when you rent it out? I think we all have to assume as you refuse to answer, that it is the rest of us who pay that subsidise you!  All this time you have been posting on here criticising us all and rubbishing our committee and it's you that have no principles!

O.K so you can't do subtle.

NO  I do not let. If I did I would not charge 40 / week for air con knowing others were subsidising that. I have gone back through my posts and I can't find any post where I have personally attacked any member of the so called 'committee'. I and  others , have attacked the actions of those who, despite their  actions of good faith have probably made things worse and inadverdently become the lapdogs of SJ.

Haye  V   Harrison.   They have tried to play with the big boys, who by the way are really holding a 'royal flush'. They can sit and wait. Those living there can not.

Hope you are now clearer. I trust you have seen where your money is going!

Oh yes, I forgot. I do know the difference between RIGHT and wrong..

As for ' principles'  mine are clearly better than yours

Not at all when some think it's ok to rob / fleece / enter my wallet for their bills.

Do you not think it immoral that someone charges 40 / wk  given the situation or is that 'just business?

I have been on Commitees and found it a thankless job. But we always did things for the best of all. Most importantly, informed people of what had been said and voted on. The meetings were posted well in advance. It didn't matter if the chairman or other member were away, the minutes were seen within 30 days of that meeting.

Lets hope Spain doesn't go the way of Ireland and the important vote at the end of this month, not go in our favour.

We need to appoint a solicitor and take some legal action to get our CoH's!

Go on to Santa Ana Del Monte's forum on this site and read about SARC.  A lot of people  have no confidence in them.

The EP administrators are part of the CAM bank.

I think we could write a book and call it "Animal Farm" the way things are going.

As far as I know  it is not out yet .

As usual it will all coincide with the holiday period to buy more time for SJ  .Same old same old ,yawn yawn yawn !!!!!!!!!

Here we go again  Better just to presume they will be allowed to continue on shafting everyone in their usual manner .Only difference is they can now pretend they are above board and overseen by the court !!!!!  as if the court  have the time or man power to oversee DOT .

OMG I do despair  Prepare for much much more of the same . JA
