Bank Bailouts

Another Spanish bank bailout as Santander rescue Banco Popular.

Are there any ongoing court cases for Banco Popular that may be affected by this?

Our case was held last week in Valencia against Banco Poplar, and we had to attend. To our surprise all three banks had legal reps in attendance. Not sure how it will affect us should we win our case. 

I don't think ongoing legal cases should be affected, Popular has been a basket case for some time through property loans as are othervSpanish Banks but presumably as Santander have probably paid a euro for the business they will take on any liabilities Popular are facing.

They must have done due diligence and assessed these.

Amazing though that banks continue to let these cases go to court rather than settling prior, they must feel the courts will find in their favour enough times.
