Torrevieja villa 23rd - 28th Sept wanted

Hi All

Yes we have just had our confirmation of handover dates.

We was offered 3 dates 16, 23, 30 Aug, just waiting to see which one is suitable for our solicitor, it will all be done in one day. Inspection of the Villa, snagging list if any (sure to be) handing over final payment getting keys then off to the notary for the rest. Don't forget to order a copy of deeds etc.

Then it will be ours. Done and dusted.

It's just GREAT still on cloud 9. As soon as I get there I will stock up with Red & White wine and Beer's of course it's handy having a cellar built in.

Hope Eric's got a cellar or dive bar!!!

We've had the words - its the 16th, 23rd or 30th - YIPPEEE!!!!!!

We will go for the 30th as our Lawyers are on holiday until the 26th, at what time we will be going down to Mazarron to sign our wills in front of the local Notary, and then.................hopefully on the 30th, to SG to sign the docs for the villas, and get the keys!! 

I've told the boss (Mary), sorry, asked the boss, for a little time off for shopping, i.e. get the wine, beer, you know, the important things. Then off to 15-32 to make sure the keys work ( you know what GrupoMasa are like) , and then Erics Tavern for  the communal p***up.

MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO CHANGE THE LOCKS WHEN WE ALL MOVE OUT? BECAUSE THE WORKMAN WOULD OF HAD USE OF THE KEYS, AND THEY MIGHT HAVE A COPY  OF THEM.....

WHAT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA IS IF WE ALL  CHANGE LOCKS WITH EACH OTHER ITS A TWO MIN JOB..OR JUST BUY NEW ONES.....

Congratulations John and Mary ............I'm still waiting..........as the song goes!  I'm over in August anyway, so I'm going to try to see my house at last, maybe the watchman won't throw me off now  - AS SOME OF YOU WILL BE IN ALREADY!!

Rob - with the locks, check with the builder.  When we took posession of our house in Pilar, the builder changed all the locks for us as soon as we'd signed at the Notary.  It might be too much to expect of Masa, but it's worth a try.

We are waiting to hear from our agent, we have asked if we can do the inspection on the 29th Aug and notary on the 30th. She said as soon as you do the inspection and agree with everything (a snagging list to be done if needed) and do the final payment and they will give you the keys.

Should bump into each other over those few days, then it's off to ET's.

I havent got the dates yet but i am in m24 so prob not for a while, I was wondering how you plan to do the final payment as you say that we would have to do an inspection first and then do the final payment before getting the keys,  all the payments i have made so far have taken quite a few days to get through- especially ones I sent via the lawyers but even if we send them direct it is 2-5 days so are people planning to hang about and go back to collect the keys once they hear the money has gone through, or would a bank draft etc be more suitable if you want to get the keys on the same day as inspection? has anyone had any thoughts about how they are going to do this?

My Agent said it will be by bankers draft and she will let me know when to order it, not to early.

Then if you agree with everything the building inspector will handover the keys.
