looks like its local property tax which we do have to pay once a year and its a percentage of the value of the property - i think it does get billed around end of jan -feb so we will all be getting billed..

no i am definately paying iberdrola direct via direct debit from my spanish bank account - i have also gone onto the iberdrola website and opened up an online account so i can view my electricity bills on there as well and view my contract with them, and the contract and the bills are in our name with our address in SG not masas - i had to do this on the spanish version though as they havent managed to get it all translated yet  but its v straightforward.  Also the customer service team at masa told me last year that it is in fact possible to get an electrity contract without the habitacion licence and my lawyer sorted it out with them so it obviously can be done.
