Great news . This is it - HONEST - no joking !!!!!!!!!!

We have just been informed by our Agent, Propertunities , that our house and all others on M15 have now been released and are ready for the Deeds to be signed as from Thurs 16 Aug.

There will be further releases in Sep and Oct

It's party time at last !!!

Have to go now and book our flights - busy, busy

very pleased for you. looks like things are moving.

i spoke to atlas in spain and they confirmed they received an email this morning from grupo masa the builder stating that M15 should be available for handover from the middle of august. they did say that until they were informed in writing they would not be informing clients, she found it strange i knew, didnt tell her where my info had came from. she wasnt really that helpful to start with but she kept asking me how i knew this information and i kept telling her to answer some of my questions instead  of asking me questions, she should be telling me the info not the other way around!

she said the email also stated that M13, M14, M15 and M16 ara all being released but i dont know if they all had the same date.  she said the reason they were first is because they had a completion date of december 06.

she couldnt say when M11 would be released, but she said that the whole of M11 would be released at the same time. I dont really know how to take that as my mum has a completion date of june 07 and has had no update, someone else on M11 was dec 06 then moved to june 07 and i have a date of oct 07.

i did receive a visual update on the website and from what i can see M11 has had its road and pavement all levelled out and waiting for tarmac.

I am going over to do my NIE number, since the regulations changed you have to go over and so it  in person now, will just be doing it ourselves and not with atlas as a mid term, has anyone else done this and if so how easy was it?

OVER THE MOON FOR ALL LOOKING TO MOVE SOON. if the are starting to handover the rest wont be far behind, so looks like good news all round.

Getting your nie number is very simple we done it last week.

You can get it down in torrevieja. You would need to be there from 7am, stand at office until it opens a 9am. Have your form filled in I think you need 2 copies (i could check for you) 2 passport photos each and 2 photocopies of your passport. It literally takes 2 minutes once your in. This office is open on tuesdays defintiely and possibly friday is the other day. At 9am a man comes out gives tickets with a number on it (he decides how many he comes out with) then you go in, in number order. I wouldnt go any later than 6.30 - 7am so you get a ticket. I have the address on our sat nav (which might I add is a very handy gadget) so I can give you this. The number wont be ready for about 15 days so you might need someone to collect it for you if you have to come home (dunno if they post them) they will need the paperwork you get back at the time.

Hi All,

Checked the date to make sure it wasn't April 1st...........it's obviously not so hope this is all systems go.

Dee and Scott, I went last November with the Atlas guy to Murcia City to get my NIE number, thinking it's November no problem walk in show documentation walk back out in ten minutes and go for a beer...............boy was I wrong. We got there at 09:30  and the queue was round the building and up some side streets and there was two queues for different applications EU and non EU, not that you could tell when you join the back of the queue. The Atlas guy(Herman) went to find out where we should be and pulled some strings and took us almost to the front of the EU applicants still took us an hour but we did get some funny looks as we jumped the queue. When you get to the desk the official asks for a signature for comparison takes your documents and checks you against passport photograph, total time in front of the official 1minute. Make sure your paperwork is correct, I filled in the form using as much Spanish as possible and check you have correct local authority region, I think mine was changed to Succina.....I had filled in Balsicas.

I spoke to our agents Mercers, a few moments ago and they had heard the story, but had no information from Masa. They have since contacted Masa to ask for confirmation.Fingers crossed.

Can someone tell me, do we need the NEI numbers if you do not intend to live there?

Hi all, don't get too excited masa today played around with october fo hand over, it seems they are telling lots of different stories.

To get direct to the Builders you can ring Maria Grau on 0034965142149  between 9 and 2. Alternatively you can E-Mail at

customerservice@grupomasa.com.    I have tried the E-Mail today if I dont get a reply within a reasonable time I will try ringing, if some of you could do similar we can compare the answers.

Hi Pat and Trish,

You need your NIE number in order to finalise completion at th Notary's Office.

We got ours thru our solicitor and accompaied her to Cartagena Police Office. She still has the original copy ready for completion

We rec.d our message of completion by phone from Spain - there will be an official letter with all info once our Agent has translated everything.

We now understand that there will be further releases during the next few weeks - they are being done in stages to avoid too much paperwork congestion etc.

yes everyone buying property wether you intend to live their or not must have an nie number. you wont beable to complete on your property if you dont have it.

Hi all, Got a reply from masa only took 2hrs, they are saying M15 first in Aug/Sept followed by 13-14-16 but not how long after. Anybody else tried. Here's hoping

It is definately August for M15, we had a phone call from our Solicitor on our way home from work today to say that they will be ready for handover mid August.  She also said that she had made an appointment with the Notary for us on 6th September, which is lucky as we had booked to go over 31st August to 14th September.

We got our NIE numbers at the Town Hall in Orihuela Costa last year.  We arrived at 12.00 noon and were out within the hour, the queue was'nt bad, and the girl who dealt with us spoke perfect English.

After more than 3 years we can`t believe it's actually happening,  just cracked open a bottle, cheers everybody.
