Marbella Rugby Championship - proud mum posting!

And yes Im posting it on here folks so sorry if you read ot twice.

After winning the Andalusian league, the finalisits from all the regions met above Madrid in Viladollid for the Spanish Finals.

Our team from Marbella came third, my littleboy scored a try and has been scouted for the Andalusian squad.

All in all a stunner of a weekend!

Hi Janice, yes loads happening this end so have been rushing around like a loony! I am DEAD CHUFFED still for him and I hope he takes to it - only been playing for 6 months but he is a big strapping lad, his father used to play a lot of rugby at county level and I was ans still am quite athletic so he has good genes for it!

Rugby defines character - builds friendship and determination. Teaches teamwork and also leadership. Also teaches from the school of 'hard knocks' - you take a 'kicking' - you keep 'ticking'

Thanks for that - Im still flying about it. They grow so quickly and Im still amazed that only 15 years ago he was so reliant on me, now the bugger hugs me and places his chin on my head - even with my heels on (me not him!)

I agree with you, Rugby is a great game, I do enjoy watching it and played many many years ago for a grils team but it didnt go anywhere - didnt want to break our nails!!

My congrats!!!   Long lasting friendships arise from Rugby, I know of people who started playing together in"little leagues" and 30 years onwards they still rely on to each other as friends, perhaps is that "camaraderie" that binds them forever... perhaps as "old brothers in arms"...

Mind you, he is a bit too young to celebrate his wins at the local rugby club bar - so you must really have to force yourself to represent him down there . - You are a true saint..ess!
