You haven't said where in Spain you will be living.

On the Costa Blanca it is very difficult to get a licence for the local markets, others have commented on the situation before.

Also in our area the car boot sales have been shut down as they also required all the sellers to have a licence.

Not sure about other areas but I'm sure someone will help further if you say which one you are interested in.

Hi BikerGran
My Brother & partner run a market stall in "The Lemon Tree" market CB
You will need a trading licence and it's better to buy a permanant pitch (these are not cheap)

If you don't buy a pitch, you can just turn up in the hope of getting a vacant pitch for the day.
But you will be with lots of others trying the same thing and this will be early, roughly 5.30am!!
It can get "hairy" as heated rows can break out, all Nationalities are there trying for a pitch.

Go to the market, speak to the market owners, get a price for a pitch, work out the costs involved and see if you could make a profit.
Also, it will depend on what you are selling, try for something exclusive as most of the market goods are becoming very "samey".
Good luck..........

I've just googled Mula and it came up as in Murcia?

May be a bit to far for the Lemon Tree Market which is between Guardamar and Montesinos.

Thanks again for all your replies,
We make and sell cutlery chimes, this is silver forks and spoons with a twist, and beaded,we thought with them being something different they would appeal to everyone.
Maybe we could find someone who has a shop, they could try them and see if they sell.
It looks like we will leave the stall and just bring the chimes.
                     Thanks again for the response

Definately unusual, can't say I've ever seen anything like it.

Why not try a bootsale first and if they sell well, then look at a market stall.

I think they still have a bootsale once a month near San Javier airport.

Ask again when you are over here and someone will give you the latest news.

Good luck

Hello there, the car boot sale (El Cine) is held every week i think. I know someone who has a stall there and can ask for info if you like. It is a good distance from Mula however.
