Help - Advice needed about changing Lawyers

Hi
We put a deposit down on an off plan property n May of last year which should have been ready on May 31st of this year, the earliest projected date now is June of next year. We are not happy with the lack of contact and help from our lawyer and wondered how easy it is to change lawyers and what would the cost implications be.

Hi Skippy,
All it takes to change lawyers is your desire to do so and his bill paid (provided it is reasonable!). You advise him by fax or letter that a new lawyer will take over and settle the account.

Hi Skippy, have you signed a contract with the lawyer? , if so then you will need to sign to say you terminate the contract and no longer require there services. Make sure you have a new lawyer in place. That is all we did. Hope this helps Pat

Hi - thank you for your advice, am in contact with Maria so hopefully will be changing Laywers soon
