Hello from essex-for now

Hi this isnt our first post but it seemed only polite to introduce ourselves. 
We are steve and susan with 2 children of 14 and 12. Our first thoughts about 5 years ago were not ,whether to leave the uk, but more - where shall we choose?.  We  have friends who have succesfully relocated to spain and cyprus and we love the warm weather and relaxed life style. As my parents are Italian I seem to have an affinity with all that is not english! As little ones we lived all over uk and abroad and see nothing worth staying in uk for.
 We have decided on the mazaronne region of spain, mainly for the climate, the peace and possibly for self employment- we are in the leisure industry. 
Our children are so excited that we are all coming for a closer look in October.Then we will return to sell our home-we hope! We have already secured the sale of our business. Even though the kids know that we will be sending them to state school and not private this has not phased them at all. They are very positive little people and we are all really looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends.

Nice area and in due course it will get better and better
Polaris World at Condado de Alhama is a great opportunity long term and with 3 gold courses, close to beach, it will become a very attractive location as prices start for a 2 bed at 119.800 €

The odd development already built in the area seems a problem!!! but otherwise anywhere between Mazarron and Mojacar is very good 

A big new develoment, Marina de Cope [ Cabo Cope area- hotels , golf ,marina residential] is planned...and also the area between Mojacar Playa and the A7 Los Gallardos is the same

The high speed train is coming to Vera, so over the next decade or so  the economy of this region of Spain is going to grow and become even more popular
This can only be good for local business in leisure and also property   

Of course the EU and world economy has to get back on course...circa 2010 and the next boom should be circa 2018 -? 

Just like UK energy use in houses is getting more and more important in Spain ,so buying new means a better Spec with solar for hot water and if you buy a re sale allow for upgrading....some of the older ones are not well insulated and can take a lot of heating during the winter nights

Some nice locations a little inland...we have chosen Huercal Overa and you get a bit more for your money
