You will read so many bad stories about off plan purchase but bare in mind that most of these are experiences form a few years ago when people originally paid their first deposit.
You won't hear many good stories on the forums because that is human nature,people only tend to hunt down ways to express their anger when they have been wronged.
You shouldn't be scared of off plan just very cautious,the off plan i am talking about is not mass construction in line afterr line but maybe custom or purpose built villas,townhouses etc.
As long as you and the person representing you follows a strict guideline of checks then it can be the right way to go for some people.
Remember there is no pressure to choose either option,my advice is to examine all angles and options and then make an educated decision based on fact.
Times are changing in Spain and the builders are waking up to what people now expect,people are a lot wiser now and of course with less buyers around in the current market, the balance of power has switched to thye buyer.
